Hi all! I’ve spent today and yesterday resting and being kind to myself. I am struggling saying goodbye to grandad, but I feel better and am focusing on remembering him as the brilliant man he was and being happy I was able to have so many years with him. Thank you for being so kind and not judging me for being on and off the past week or so. I’m back now and hopefully will be okay. I haven’t caught up yet but will catch up from tomorrow. I hope you’re all well.

morning all. am working at parents today. they are doing the child wrangling. i have 2 days at work this week. then some much needed time off.

so far no spends. but i am waiting for an email re the results of my assignment.

Morning everyone! First proper day of half term and DD has come down with a cold. So we’ve decided stay in and have a Halloween movie day. I’ve ordered some treats for uber and we are cuddled up warm. Pic attached of the girl snuggling up with me and the dog and feeling a bit sorry for herself bless her!. I intend on doing nothing today.

It is a beautiful day here the sun is shining and the sky is blue and it really makes a difference to how we feel. I must confess l have been wrapping Christmas presents YAH BOO HUMBUG
Have done Mums & my Dd1 . l have millions more to do though so don't get too despairing of your own packing situation . l was just in the mood. Anyway an hour of it and l was fed up to the back teeth and removed myself from the present room tip because l started eyeing up the Aldi Florentines l have in there for a present

We made one wreath earlier (see pic). I could have sworn I ordered two garlands but there was only one in the pack. Maybe there's another one on the way? So DD is going to give the wreath to her Granny as a birthday present. If the other one arrives after Hallowe'en, I'll use it for a Christmas wreath.

I have spent the morning reading and baking parkin. DDad appears to have now got a 2ndary cancer and has lost his appetite. He is in a lot of pain so I am hoping to tempt him with autumnal spicy cakey goodness.

We may have filled in dog adoption papers......

to everyone going through a tough time right now, I hope you are all ok and coping.

I've spent £4 on lunch which consisted of a ready meal, satsuma and a banana.

I'm annoyed with myself because I've somehow lost one of my AirPods, I used them this morning on the underground put them away before I left the train and when I've got back to the station this afternoon one is missing from the case. They were a gift last year for my birthday, I wasn't going to mention it to Dh and just buy some new ones but they cost £250

We don't have Ubereats here either mrs or just eat or any of the delivery services, we've only had a chip shop for a few years and can't get a pizza delivered!

It's half term here so whilst I've been at work the kids have been home probably eating everything in sight (ds2).

Oh Camden that is so kind of you & so timely l have just this minute heard my poor cousin Chris had passed away , she was 70 suffered from stomach cancer for 5 years , treated with chemo but this March her immune system was so bad she couldn't have anymore treatment especially with the Covid threat . I suppose she could be one of the Covid deaths by proxy STS. She died peacefully but of course it is such a great shock, she wil be so missed.

Camden can you clai on your household insurance ? Just wondering because we claimed for my Dd2 iphone when she dropped it away from home. Thank you xxx

mrs the weather there is very different to here, grey and drizzly!. Great going with the wrapping, I wrap a few days before Christmas as I always forget the presents I’ve wrapped!. Uber eats is like deliveroo or just eat, just a takeaway service but they have McDonald’s and a few convenience stores where you can get bits and bobs you need, I’m sure some supermarkets deliver via uber as well. I’m really sorry to hear about your cousin, that must be so difficult. I’m always a PM away if you ever need to talk❤️

Mrs sorry to hear about your cousin My aunt is in a similar situation as her cancer markers have gone up significantly and she now faces the decision on whether to have chemo again. I am not sure it's safe for her right now with covid cases on the rise, but whats the alternative?

wolf thank you. It is something we have been expecting and I think I am peace with it (does that sound awful?). It is the thought of him being in pain that I am not sure I can cope with.

£13 on drinks for the dcs, my friend and me from the nice cafe in the park today. Once it stopped raining it was a nice afternoon and the autumn trees are just beautiful.
