Mocks here too. Hope it all went smoothly for your babies.

North won't your local cricket club take them?

tight I just let mine get on with being a wake... if they want to be knackered the next day so be it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2020 17:17

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/11/2020 17:20

Frugal win. Garmin are exchanging my watch as screen is corrupted

Tightwad2020 · 30/11/2020 17:26

@Unescorted - dogs or ados? Canine insomnia harder to ignore.

Good luck to all with mocks and whatever happens with exams next year. It's not an easy time in which to be a young 'un!

NSD here too. And I got a £25 voucher from an insurance company from a policy taken out a few months back. Had completely forgotten about it. So will use it for some Christmas cheer in a M&S foodhall. Any recommendations?

Tightwad2020 · 30/11/2020 17:29

@northender - well, yes, I am more 'alert' to stuff that needs doing in the house than other members of the household and drive most of the planning, budgeting, arranging and cleaning up before and afterwards. The upside is that I get to decide most of what happens, and I am generally supported and cheered on by a positive and appreciative spouse.

Unescorted · 30/11/2020 17:36

Two legged ones .... although they are difficult to tell apart from the 4 legged ones at times tight

Wolfcub · 30/11/2020 18:57

Good luck to all the dcs who are sitting mocks

ememem84 · 30/11/2020 21:14

Toy cull done.

And got a bit crafty after a trip to dunelm ( £23). These are the first baby grows the dc wore when they were born. Stretched over embroidery hoops. They’ll go on my stair wall when they’ve been tidied up a bit.

I almost bought some circular mirrors too. But didn’t.

SnugglySnerd · 01/12/2020 06:36

Morning! Another disturbed night, I'm already drinking tea! Sold more stuff on Ebay. Hoping for a NSD.

Unescorted · 01/12/2020 06:48

Morning Snuggly.

I love this time of the morning - colleagues are not yet out of bed so I can crack on with chunky work and do my more bitty instant response things later in the day. And no one sees that I am inactive for 5 minutes while I catch up on MN and make DS' sandwich & toast.

Only 3 more sleeps.....

Mrsmadevans · 01/12/2020 06:56

Gensola · 01/12/2020 06:57

I’m up too - IVF drugs are making me feel rotten, my boobs feel like they’re going to explode and I have cramps and nausea. Supposed to have my egg collection on Thursday so hopefully after that it will be a bit easier.
I’ve been at home for a couple of weeks working from the garden office to try and minimise the chances of catching covid as my cycle would be cancelled if I got it.

I haven’t done much Christmas shopping yet - my sisters and I banded together to get my DF and DM and SSDad things so they’re sorted but I still have two nephews, sisters and DH. It will be the first Christmas I don’t have to buy for my brother as he died this summer - will be weird without him this Christmas Sad

Gensola · 01/12/2020 06:58

That should read Stepdad, no idea what I was going for there

Unescorted · 01/12/2020 07:01

Got ahead of myself... 4 more sleeps. Sad

ememem84 · 01/12/2020 07:05

Law changed here yesterday. So from 10am masks are legally required in shops banks supermarkets post offices etc.

Apparently though anyone can download and complete the exemption form online which sort of makes a mockery of it.

We’re being asked to wfh where possible. But my work hasn’t said anything about it so I’m going in today. Will ask once I get there.

Cases are up to 200 here largely due to a party at a hotel last week.

Gensola · 01/12/2020 07:22

Where are you based @ememem84?

ememem84 · 01/12/2020 08:52

@Gensola jersey.

Gensola · 01/12/2020 09:01

@ememem84 ah I’ve always wanted to visit Jersey after reading a book set there. Maybe once the virus has calmed down!

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/12/2020 09:13

Sorry to hear about your brother gen. Good luck for Thurs.
Waiting on MP vote today for tiers.

Need to pay postage back to Garmin today

Tightwad2020 · 01/12/2020 09:29

Yes - once things have calmed down absolutely make the trip. It’s wonderful here. We are very lucky to live here. Expensive here. But beautiful.

Sorry to hear about your brother. Xx
