Nightmare on having two holidays booked sea now. Hope you get the work done quickly and not another all nighter!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2020 08:24

I would email the first and say on the basis they said they were going to cancel you booked something else. They can't keep messing you about.
Good luck with the papers. 1 is bad enough never mind 3.

Yeah chips on the beach. We need to do that.

Aldi today for sleeping bags and camping gadgets as borrowing a tent.

Birthday lunch today for ddad today. Cafe tea with mil

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2020 08:48

10 weeks... Eeeeek and woo hoo about the dress.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2020 08:50

Before you get it taken up try it on with your wedding shoes. And take those to the seamstress, but in sure you know that being a smart person

ememem84 · 12/07/2020 08:54

It was so lovely life this is ds eating his fish. Admittedly we were near the beach - ddad came within and can’t manage sand because of his dodgy knee

We need to do more getting out and about.

10 weeks love eeek! So excited for you!!!!
will there be a poem in the invite requesting gifts/money? Do we need to make a note to “cancel the cheque?!”

em I’m sure you guys could find some suitably CF cringe poems for me! 😂 I haven’t even thought about that

Wolfcub · 12/07/2020 09:11

10 weeks Shockthat's fantastic Love and personally I think a good idea as it avoids any time for any relative-zilla behaviour from anyone

So cute Em.

Gintime74 · 12/07/2020 10:30

Good morning, I need to catch up properly on this thread. Yesterday spends £30 on chippy tea as we all fancied it, was lush! Back on diet tomorrow! £20 on some fabric to make myself a skirt as I have seen one that I love but sold out in my size, it’s only a long maxi elasticated waist type thing so I should be able to manage it.
Today I’m going to batch cook for the week, chicken pie, chilli, bolognaise, stew and chicken tagine, it stops me from stopping off for micro meals or takeaways mid week when I’m too tired to cook.
I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Mrsmadevans · 12/07/2020 10:49

I feel like that Gin l am off to my Mum & Bob's m w but will catch up ltr this afternoon ,😀

Girlie it is good that she is talking to you. You may not be able to give her a magic solution, but being there for her must be a relief. Hope the GP gives you some options.

I saw Colin in Aldi too. Life let me know the taste test result.

sea how do you do that! My brain would be mashed.

wolf he is class Hmm. In answer to the school day question.... no idea. Mine are the same.

I have managed 4 loads of washing this morning - we have has 17 days of rain before today. the pile was taking on a life of its own.

LonelyOversharer · 12/07/2020 13:19

I've chopped down about 1/56 of the front garden. It's been about 2 years since I did it last and the house is literally disappearing.
Been to the tip once and will load up and go again when I've stopped sweating (v v muggy here).

I think I'm about to lose my shit and concrete the front garden. I have some money saved (emergency money, stupid I know when I have credit card debt...) so should I transfer a few hundred quid and get a dumpy bag of sand, gravel and some bags of mastercrete and just bloody do it??
Nothing grows (north face, in shade 80% of the time) except nettles and horsetail, and if we could move the "dead" car then I can stop parking on the pavement.

Excuse my musing, but it's how I'm going to be able to make a decision.

em crikey you have a beautiful boy 💙

wolf how are you keeping sane with that level of fuckwittery? Sometimes I feel sad for my girls that they haven't seen their bio dad for over 9 years, but mostly it's a blessing as I'm sure it would simply be a nightmare.

Nsd, but will have to resist popping to Costa later I think!

ememem84 · 12/07/2020 13:26

lonely do it.
We’re currently wondering what to do with our front garden. But ours is lovely and sunny. Scuse the mess...mid weeding.

Ds is a cutie. Shouldn’t say it but we have cute kids!

Oh ffs. Dh is being an absolute twat. We’ve been in the garden putting down a weed sheet thing. He’s just cut it and stepped back to almost fall over a bucket. Which he put behind him.

He’s proceeded to swear loudly and kick bucket at the garage wall. It’s bounced off and hit me. It almost hit ds. Apparently we need to be more considerate where we leave things. Ds and I are now Upstairs napping. Dh has been told to sort him self our get his head out of his ass and to go fuck himself. And to never ever react like that again

Go 4 it lonely My front garden is concrete but I want 2 get sum flowers to put around the corners.

Beautiful pics em ❤️ Sorry about DH acting like that my ex was like that. Constantly got blamed 4 things that were his fault. Hopefully he cools down.

My Christmas planner has come I luv it!

ememem84 · 12/07/2020 15:21

Thanks mummy it’s my fault apparently for not telling him the bucket was there. Obviously.

How's everyone?

I headed out early this morning and went for a long walk on the beach. It was a beautiful, sunny morning and it was lovely to feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my face. It clouded over when I was on my way back, so I'm glad I caught the best part of the day. There were lots of people walking or walking their dogs (they were well spread out though - it's a huge beach). You'd almost forget about the CV except for the occasional person wearing a mask

I sorted out my towels and tea towels into my new baskets. I also hung up my new peacock picture (see photos). I picked up a paint colour chart as I'm thinking of painting the sitting room and dining room.

Unescorted good luck with your job application.

em good find (£250 in drawer). Your DH's reaction was out of order but I guess you know that already.

mummy a Christmas planner, eh? Where would you find something like that? whistles innocently

Seacow happy first date anniversary to you and Mr. Seacow. That's annoying about your holiday booking - I hope the first place accepts the cancellation.

Love post away (about the wedding) - it's an exciting time. Just one question - is it a child free wedding? Wink

north sounds like you're taking a sensible approach in bringing your mum to low risk places.

Mrs good work on the bench.

Wolf sorry to hear about your stressful week. Big hugs!

Lonely glad you survived the sausages!

Girlie sorry to hear about DD's issues.

Lovely photos em and mummy.

Oh fgs em.
We took out grass and put in slate at the front. Much easier. Some places need planning permission to do it now though.

£98 Aldi on mostly camping gear. No other spends today.

Mrsmadevans · 12/07/2020 19:23

Lonely , Duchess & Em l am vere strict with Costco 'bargains'
I work out to the ength degree how much savings l get and if l don't see any savings then l don't buy. Literally we treat it as entertainment really. We enjoy going and seeing all the different stuff but we are never impulsive now. I don't mean buying a nice treat, we would buy that but when we work out the proper costings there is no point to buying it there dearer. I know 😁 l am a real Scrooge 😂

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 12/07/2020 19:28

We've had a lovely day out at the beach, weather was perfect and dd has been okay today.

Spent around £10 on ice creams and bits in the shop.

Ddog loved it!!

Em I think you did well not to pick the bucket up and smack him round the head with it tbh (only half joking 😉).
