Bench looks good!

I made Lonely flapjacks this morning and for the first time in ages she’ll know about it ! We really love that recipe in the Seacow house....

Em I made your PBJ muffins the other day but Ds wasn’t keen - I think because I used crunchy pb and he didn’t like the bits (he obviously doesn’t notice them in a crunchy flapjack). DH didn’t love the texture either - I liked them but am not meant to be eating cakes etc! I’ll probably make them again with smooth pb next time. I like how there’s not much sugar, and it gets some oats into the Dc.

I love cinnamon buns, I literally can’t trust myself to make them 😋

Mrsmadevans · 09/07/2020 16:39

Ahh thank you Sea they all liked it so it was a success thankfully Grin
Have just downloaded an Ebook, The Perfect Dress from my library BorrowBook app , got a pork casserole in the slow cooker for tea and just phoned Mum and Bob am now off for a read Grin

Wolfcub · 09/07/2020 19:10

Unescorted fingers crossed for the cv application thingy Grinwe're doing pretty well as a group lately so your turn for some of our collective mojo

Mrs bench looks fabulous, I'm quite tempted

Sea I love rice pudding, and bread and butter pudding, and posset, and key lime pie.

It's been an absolute shitter of a week. Family stuff. Work hard been a living breathing nightmare and ds has been vile and aggro every day. I am exhausted

Frugal win picked up some free bulbs ion a very wet walk as I needed to get out of the house. I'm now in my pjs because I was soaked to the skin from top to bottom. The ocado man is going to get an eyeful

I need to pick up a prescription tomorrow, plant the bulbs before they rot, complete stupid govt form for family member (55 sections), try to get ds to be human, clean house do lots of washing and pack more of exes shit. It'd be easier to stay in bed and cry but that's not going to help anyone

I have whisky

LonelyOversharer · 09/07/2020 19:14

Bonkers. I've got this open on the webpage and it just totally crashed!

I think I just fed some of us dodgy sausages. I just grabbed 2 identical packs from the fridge and then looked and smelled fine. On eating I had 3 "fruity" ones and one normal one. It's very feasible that in my chaotic car crash fridge I located a very old pack of sausages - I buy the same ones every week. I daren't go and look at the packets (in the outside bin)! Time will tell. I hope I haven't made us sick.

Went to Lidl today about £25 and £6 in Dunelm on a bias tape folder thing I've been looking for for ages.

Annoyingly I have to go back there tomorrow as Dad's list is mostly Lidl stuff. I knew I should have grabbed all the usual suspects in there today but didn't.

They were really good! That's a mutant cucumber from the greenhouse in front.

I need to make the tangzhong cinnamon buns again

Ocado driver was the most unhelpful ever. I hope they send a survey. Plus it appears I accidentally clicked some things twice so I have doubles of lots of perishable things.

Gintime74 · 09/07/2020 20:21

All of your baking and pudding talk is making me very hungry, I’d love some easy flapjack and muffin recipes if you have them?
I worked from home today, very productive and spent nothing.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/07/2020 21:02

They look lovely. I've never tried cinnamon roll.
Mary Berry 4 ingredients flap jack or lonely if she will paste the recipe again. What flavor muffin?

£92 Aldi but some stash stuff.
Sorry things are bad wolf. We are here on mn and off x

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/07/2020 21:04

Can you freeze them wolf?

Wolfcub · 09/07/2020 21:09

I've rammed as much as possible in the freezer Life and we will be having salad with everything, including breakfast

Mrsmadevans · 09/07/2020 21:30

@Wolf the bench is excellent. The only thing was the paint finish wasn't up to scratch but with 20 quid off and next day delivery we are extremely happy with it. Easy to put a lick of paint on and you can pick your own colour then too but it will do for now 😁

Mrsmadevans · 09/07/2020 21:37

I posted before l finished 🙄
Just wanted to say you come and vent all you like here @Wolfcub your Ds 💐

Mrsmadevans · 09/07/2020 21:39

Mum rang this morning wanting me to get her some foam for us to make a cushion for said 'pretty white bench'. I am not going to do anything of the sort, she is taking the Micky big time l do too much as it is . Does anyone know where can get a 150 cm length seat pad for a garden bench please? l have been looking all over the net and found nowt! Smile
Hope everyone has had a lovely day Flowers

SnugglySnerd · 10/07/2020 20:11

Mrs have you tried Etsy? Someone might make them to order.

Unescorted · 10/07/2020 21:01

My mum does similar - buys a dress or pair of jeans and then expects me to alter them for her. If I wasn't short of time enough with her spending 45 minutes on the phone to me every sodding single day. If she comes to my house she gets sniffy because the washing isn't sorted or there is a tea cup on the side. And breathe...

You could try a local sewing shop.
