Going to Lidl today and then will organise a Tesco delivery for what I can’t get in Lidl for either Saturday or Sunday. I have really been put off online shopping by their bagless policy as it’s just so much faff having to unload it all item by item. I always reused the bags as bin liners and I miss that aspect too.
I’m going to meal plan before I go and I know exactly what I have in the freezer so I’m hoping to spend about £80 all in.

I hope your ds is ok em and your dd too sea.

ChristmasSeacow · 10/01/2020 11:02

GP said it’s not infected, though is very inflamed so to go back if she gets a temperature. So far so good.

Born Ocado still give bags. They charge 5p each but take them next time for 5p each too. And they’ll take back plastic bags from other retailers too, also for 5p. I love Ocado, though I am not sure I will once they are with M&S instead of Waitrose later this year. Their own brand stuff is great so far but not quite a wide enough range to cover the Waitrose gap - yet.

Wolfcub · 10/01/2020 11:09

Sea glad it's not infected. I agree with absolutely everything you said about Ocado

Kitchen cleaned. Dishwasher unloaded and reloaded. Dusting downstairs done - broke duster ordered new one

Packed wash bag for work next week. Put away all miniature toiletries from advent calendar.

Updated budget book

Hung washing on heated airer

Wolfcub · 10/01/2020 11:15

Also 5 minutes of physio/Pilates exercises for back and emailed query to a divorce lawyer I'm thinking of using

Happierwithouthim · 10/01/2020 11:47

I'm in a bind between separation agreement and divorce by consent. I've only 5 months left in my mortgage approval and not eligible for divorce until beg of March.

Separation agreement is €2500+VAT and I'm not in a hurry to get divorced but it would be great to get it all done for one payment.

Will talk to solicitor when I get to the stage of contracts signed on sale of marital home to see which I'll need to do. She has previously advised divorce by consent but didn't know about my time constraints.

If separation agreement ties up all loose ends maybe I could do diy divorce afterwards for approx €500 - just musing don't expect anyone to know the answer

ImASlatternGetMeOutOfHere · 10/01/2020 12:46

@ememem84, hope your DS feels better soon.

£40 DD for lottery and euromillions gone out today. Am thinking of getting rid of that monthly DD but I have had a few wins off it. Not enough to cover what I’ve paid out but you never know when it could be you but... and round and round in circles I go.

Wolfcub · 10/01/2020 13:30

£92.90 on two dresses for work in the sale. They have pockets. Two stamps on my loyalty card, 3 more for £20 off.

£5.75 sandwich to go with my free scone and coffee.

Not sure what parking will be

Oh ds is now full of beans. We are at drs. Isn’t this always the way. Ffs.

He’s been like this since about 11. I haven’t cancelled the apt because he was awful last night and it’s a Friday weekend Apt’s are rare as heNs teeth and out of hours is pricey!

@ImASlatternGetMeOutOfHere I feel the same with postcode lotto. I've won £20 in 6 years (costs me £10 a month) Hmm but i know the week I cancel my street will win the jackpot.

danni0509 · 10/01/2020 14:19

Can I join please, I've been watching the thread for a while now.

Really need to stop spending.

danni0509 · 10/01/2020 14:22

By spending I mean nipping to Tesco and coming out £40 lighter when I only went in for milk etc. I'm a nightmare for that.

I'm trying to spend £0 other than the usual bills, food shopping / petrol etc. Need a few zero spend weeks months to save for a list of things I need to pay for.

GuyFawkesDay · 10/01/2020 16:04

Spendy day today: £110 supermarket shop for the week, £25 petrol and £25 in pets at home. Then £40 in IKEA on bookcase (other has collapsed!!) and a couple of frames.....oops. and £15 in Primark as daughter is outgrowing all her trousers in matters of weeks

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 10/01/2020 16:12

Danni I'm exactly the same. Go in for 2 things come out with 3 bags 🙄

W0lverine · 10/01/2020 16:47

Was planning a NSD today but then nipped to Tesco Hmm

£31.90 - some bits to make dinner over the weekend, which will be jacket potatoes one night and sausage casserole the other. Ended up buying some new sheets as we need them and they were half price plus treated myself to some candles for £1 each and some flowers for £3 as I've deep cleaned the dining room and they look pretty on my nice clean table.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 10/01/2020 17:30

Ima you put £40 a month on the lottery?! I would def cancel that tbh, you'd be better off just saving the £40 a month - they would be a nice yearly sum.

We've had a lovely day, dd had an inset day and the sun was out so we went to Lyme. Absolutely beautiful weather, the dog loved the beach and dd was on good form (not grumpy for once!!) Spent around £17 on drinks, parking, arcades and chips.

Lovemaltesers · 10/01/2020 18:08

ima putting the £40 in premium bonds would be better. You have a (small) chance of winning some cash, but you are also saving the money rather than it disappearing never to be seen again.

Where’s wreck? Or have I missed a NC?

NSD

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 10/01/2020 18:11

Hi all.
Had a conference today, it was alright, did some networking, food was good, quite a few vegan options.

Spends today will just be Ocado £42.18.
I'm trying to use up lots of odd bits in my freezer, so expecting it to be higher next week.
Sea and wolf, I feel the same about Ocado. Not sure if you know, but Ocado got the packing contract for morrisons, so morrisons food but packed by Ocado. (So still get bags)
Not sure if either of you have shopped with morrisons, but may be an option?

Mrsmadevans · 10/01/2020 18:37

Supposed to be a NSD but l had to get some shopping for y Mum and ended up buying a few bargains from Aldi. Namely a light up, bauble, Christmas wreath for 2.99 , and a box of crackers for 49p also box of cheese crackers for 99p . I got milk as well Grin not tooo bad but l must stop it!

Fearofawelshplanet · 10/01/2020 19:08

NSD....

Mrsmadevans · 10/01/2020 19:11

Well done FEAR

TheresNeverEnoughCheese · 10/01/2020 19:25

NSD today and hopefully tomorrow too.
We're not even half way through the month and my expenses are already over 900 which has massively shocked me so I'm really trying to not spend on anything but essentials for the rest of the month

SnugglySnerd · 10/01/2020 19:33

It was almost another NSD. So close. I bought a Kindle book for 3.99. Going to start reading it now.

ChristmasSeacow · 10/01/2020 20:12

I didn’t know that Curby, though I did know that Morrison’s uses the Ocado app, just rebranded (and its excellent).

I’ve shopped in a Morrison’s and liked it but there isn’t one near me. Online... dunno, I think it would deigned on whether they lack from a warehouse or from stores. Ime, one of the reasons Ocado is by far the best I’ve used is because they lack from warehouses, so stock availability and freshness (shelf life etc) is far better than any of the others I’ve tried.

On my way into London for karaoke with friends. Too late for dinner out thanks to DC but I suppose I’ve saved money!

Glad DS is alright Em

Happierwithouthim · 10/01/2020 20:22
