Hep A, Hep B, Tetanus before you start university & they make you prove immunity with a blood test.

When you have your boosters they’ll jab you with boosters for diphtheria and polio too if you say yes. I say yes.

They should go in after a jab though, Their patients will feel worse than they do.

ememem84 · 18/11/2018 13:47

The only time I’ve ever felt awful is after jabs for a holiday. I went to The Gambia. Beautiful country but Ick jabs.

LonelyOversharer · 18/11/2018 14:14

Yellow fever was the one that made us all as sick as dogs. I had a very full spectrum of immunisations before they let us go to sea. My sister (ex squaddie) has had tonnes of jabs, and she knows not what was in them!

Listed some more bike shiz on ebay, got 48 hours of max selling for £1, so had better get on with it. But it's sooo boring.

AutumnLeaves12 · 18/11/2018 14:15

I have a huge pent-up rant inside me about badly how NHS and school staff are treated by their employer, but I think I'd better save it for RL conversations.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 18/11/2018 14:51

AFAIK there were some serious side effects including narcolepsy with the swine flu vaccine autumn I'm going to think about it and discuss with dd, if she strongly wants it ultimately it's her decision.

Anyway nsd, dd has been with her grandad this wend so need to go and pick her up later.

Work has been fine again today.

AutumnLeaves12 · 18/11/2018 15:44

Oh I didn't know that. I had a special flu vaccine when ds was on the way, but I can't remember if it was the swine flu one. I would like to say I had no side effects, but I have no idea as I am a shambles.

Justanothermile · 18/11/2018 15:44

Afternoon.

Thanks for the kind comments about DS. It's absolutely that he's my quieter and less confident child, and then I think you tend to over protect somewhat, with hindsight I shouldn't #learnonthejob. Seeing him yesterday so relaxed and happy was brilliant. I'm doing it all again Nursie this year too with DD, it's quite a stressful time! Hope things are ticking along with the application your end.

Where's your Dd curvy, generally speaking without outing. It takes some getting used to them not being around all the time doesn't it?

Hope the studying is going okay today North.

The dog is much improved thanks fluffy, last set of antibiotics today. Mouths heal quickly don't they?

The pre university jabs depend on age; I actually booked DS into the surgery for an appointment and he walked the two miles to it in the summer, only to find out that he'd had all the required ones through school. I think pre 1999 birthdays it applies to and if you've missed it, DS definitely didn't need them as it was on his records. Best probably to check though. He got a nice walk on a sunny day however.

Good haul there of carrots etc em

Only spend to today was about £6 on post cross country race drinks. First race of the season is always a shock to the system......

Lemon and leek risotto for tea tonight.

Bornlazy · 18/11/2018 16:40

Attempting beef in the pressure cooker tonight.... will see how that goes Hmm

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 18/11/2018 16:42

Jam , dd1 is in Edinburgh and is in her 3rd year and I miss her terribly.

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 18/11/2018 16:43

Interesting chat about HPV vaccine -rates of the HPV strains 16 and 18 which are indicated to cause most cervical cancer also some penile, anal and throat/tongue cancers have dropped by 86% in the UK since 2010.

Rates of cancer development post HPV vaccine wont be expected for another 5-20 years so no one is even expecting that evidence yet due to the way cancers of this type develop.

Jam thats fantastic about your DS Smile
Im missing mine today as Ive been buying all his favourites for his Christmas stocking Grin
I used some of my shopping vouchers and got this weeks shopping so technically a NSD 😇

moimichme · 18/11/2018 16:54

£7 on Friday for bus, food at lunch at work, and some veg for curry that night

Nsd yesterday and today for me, but mainly because ds hasn't been feeling well (just a head cold, but he's been a bit feverish and clingy). Fingers crossed he'll be okay by tomorrow to go to the childminder's because I have to teach in the morning...

Hope everyone is doing better. Smile

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 18/11/2018 16:56

LonelyI sorted out my hens for winter today.
Due their fluffy feet they will be in the big runs over winter so cleaned and re fluffed with Denghie .
All feeders/drinkers scrubbed and refreshed and nest boxes fluffed with straw as several of mine sleep in one together Hmm
DH has skimmed the entire outdoor area of leaves and muck so that the sunlight/frost can kill any bugs over winter.
Fire is lit and looking forward to Strictly Glitterball
Hmm who will go ?

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/11/2018 17:07

£18 plus £4.40 at national trust today plus £5.
I seem to have lost the ability to cook today. Had a bash at million shortbread and not enough chocolate. Caramel sauce isn't setting either but it's the first time I've fine it. Gingerbread and not enough golden syrup.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/11/2018 17:07

Pizza and gammon are both ok though

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 18/11/2018 17:51

life Where is the recipe from?
This is DH favourite and Ive never made it myself Blush

LonelyOversharer · 18/11/2018 17:59

Millionaires shortbread? If you are on pintrest, search for it, I use the recipie from 'sugarspunrun' the pic is of two pieces, one with a big bite out if it. Works brilliantly. Used to make for road races, cut into 1x2" pieces, loved watching uber skinny cyclists wolf it down. Only about 300 calories a piece.

Haggis, neeps and tatties for tea. In big yorkies. Mixing my counties, but cannot wait.

Kate or Lauren I reckon to go. Just don't like Charles. I think he thinks he is Idris Elber...he's not.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/11/2018 18:03

It was a BBC food one.

See you in a few days >>>>>>wanders off to Pinterest

Unescorted · 18/11/2018 18:19

Evening all.

Autumn it is a hard call. I think people in occasional contact notice changes more. If it is just a memory thing then I would leave it. However if she is also showing other signs of dementia (shakes, aggression where they aren't known for it, walking in anti-clockwise circles) then possibly have a chat to her GP or get her next of kin to do so. That way they can bring her in on another reason and give her a check over.

Wolf hope the rest of the day went as well as the first.

Em we have a picture of DD covered head to toe in green paint. She carefully coloured herself in.

Jam it was a perfect running day here today. The hills were stunning, which helps to distract me from my lungs falling out on the up hills and my legs falling off on the down.

I have also taken my steely steed for a pedal to my friends. I smiled he whole way and then she gave me a pannier she has never used. Fru

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 18/11/2018 18:26

Thank you - jumps down rabbit hole 🐇 that is Pinterest .
I like Charles -he has grown on me and has really improved.
I think Kate or Lauren.
I cant help thinking Lauren should have been paired with a taller partner than AJ as she often looks off balance -I think I said that last week as well ! Sorry.
Cottage pie (again) Gravy, sprouts, carrots and broccoli .
Recipe for 3 ingredient Broccoli soup in todays Observer -Gordon Ramsay (old scone face) looks lovely .

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 18/11/2018 18:29

NSD

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/11/2018 18:55

Another problem with cervical ca is that it gets missed. The two women I know who've had cervical and uterine cancer both got dismissed by doctors because they were older and it was written off as menopause.

Whereas I barely make it into the car park and my gp has the speculum ready.

£2.49 on cat food. Which he has ignored.

Wolfcub · 18/11/2018 19:19

I believe this may have been a no spend day which given how rubbish I’ve been this month is a bloody miracle.

Dm and df brought ddog round this afternoon, straight from the park, lovely to see them and lovely to have cuddles with ddog. Kind of makes two days of cleaning a bit pointless though 😁

Loving the chicken talk. I’d love chickens but don’t have the room. When I was little my grandpa and I would collect eggs for breakfast and I think eggs taste much better from your own pampered chooks

ememem84 · 18/11/2018 19:36

I’d love chickens. But it’s too much to deal with right now. And catface would probably eat them.

£50 M&S hamper for my godmother for Christmas. She’s also dsis’ godmother so we’re going halves. She still sends us £20 “mad money” every month to go crazy with. It started when we started studying for GCSEs. She thought we should have fun money to spend on things other than school books etc. She’s also incredibly generous to ds. And dh.

Need to also buy something for dgrandma.

ememem84 · 18/11/2018 19:39

Have updated my subscribe and save things on amazon. And have changed payment details to dh’s Amex.

I have pointed out to him that o could just buy a prada handbag and we’d his the £2k spend in the first 3 months to get the bonus avios....but funnily enough he’s not going for it.

I think we’ll still do it though. Food shops, house things, Christmas gifts, nappies, etc.

AutumnLeaves12 · 18/11/2018 20:05

Thanks Unescorted that useful to know what to look out for.

Fluffy that's a hilarious mental image of your GP with speculum. LOL!

I'm knackered. Too many exciting things have happened this week. I wonder if everything could just be really boring for a week or two?
