em, where did you get your reusable cleaning/face cloths things please?

sea, places like John Lewis now stock some of curvy kate bras, I'm now a 34GG and I know they had some in that size.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/11/2018 14:45

Oh palm oil is very hard to avoid. Snuggly ask them if they think animals bred for fur are killed humanely after that. Do not google that if your sensitive.

It’s like the 1980’s never happened isn’t it?.

I have made basic curry sauce for 5 curry’s & tikka paste.

Nsd.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/11/2018 14:50

€5.30 on 3 chicken fillets for dinner at my parents

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/11/2018 14:51

Sea will pm you

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 14:56

I'm really glad that I'm eating sunflower seeds while I'm reading this. I'm pretty certain that the sunflower plants were humanely uprooted.

ememem84 · 17/11/2018 16:33

curvy I use cheeky wipes www.cheekywipes.eu/ but you can buy on amazon too.

We’ve just done some painting. Ds wasn’t sure. But eventually enjoyed it. We’ve had to give him a bath too. Paint everywhere. 🤣😂

I’ve done more washing and have tidied my bedroom dresser. And the airing cupboard.

I want to charge up my Fitbit to see how many steps I do just running round the house after ds but can’t find the bloody charger. It’s here somewhere.

ememem84 · 17/11/2018 16:34

I’m eating the leftovers of my cinema pic n mix. They may or may not be veggie:vegan/animal friendly. They are however very tasty. Giant strawbs cola bottles wine gums vampire teef and sour cherry’s. Mmm.

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 16:50

I love cola bottles. Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 16:54

I'm so zonked from thinking about music and stuff with ds. I'm glad the visit went well though. Zzzz

Does anybody know the polite way to ask a very nice elderly person whether it might be an idea to see the GP about their memory problems? I need to have that conversation with someone and I have actually no idea how to do that. I need to not be losing any more sleep about it though.

Bornlazy · 17/11/2018 17:09

Autumn is it someone you know well? Also what kind of things are they forgetting - if its dangerous stuff like leaving the cooker on then I think I would just come right out with it. If its more subtle things then I might gently remind them and then see how it goes.

SneakyGremlins · 17/11/2018 17:18

£8.76 in Aldi!

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 17:21

I don't want to say too much online, but it's more like acting "confused" about very basic day-to-day stuff and being very anxious about being confused.

If it was family I would just say "Your memory is not what it used-to-was, lets go see the GP." but my friend is very proper, and I am not fluent in proper.

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 17:24

The other problem is that my friend gets very upset with me for days if I correct her on a memory slip, and I worry that our friendship is suffering, and am not quite sure what the protocol is. We currently have a working agreement that I am wrong about a number of things that I am not wrong about, which is getting harder and harder to maintain.

I suppose the question is, how dotty does a person have to be before it's time to rock up to the GP and come clean on it?

QuitewantstogotoBlackpool · 17/11/2018 17:27

Wolfcub · 17/11/2018 17:46

‘Spensive but nice day.

Sainsbury’s £25 wine, breads, crisps, doughnuts, cinema sweets and winter candles and diffusers (both on sale but unplanned spends. Bad wolf!) house smells lovely and winter is always my favourite range.

£60 hair, more expensive than planned as I remembered my hair oil has nearly run out and won’t last six weeks until my next cut. It does last about 8 months though so I can’t complain

£29 IMAX we took our own coffee, water and snacks

Currently planning on totally blowing the day with a takeaway while we watch strictly, ds has had a lovely day too and is smiling and I want to capitalise - emotional spending on a whole new level

Wolfcub · 17/11/2018 17:48

Autumn unless it’s your best friend in the who world with whom you have a complete honesty policy I wouldn’t say a thing. The fact that they are already getting upset when you mention it tells you all you you are on thin ice already

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 17:58

That's a good thought Wolf. A very good thought indeed. So it's not my problem to fix this situation, but I should just keep carpet bombing with kindness whenever there's a slip. Good thought. I like it.

LonelyOversharer · 17/11/2018 17:59

Well, I've had a lovely day.

Picked dd1 up (she wants long horn cows...beyond brilliant fun that she's volunteering at a farm, but cows ?? Suggested she marry a farmer. Had to go to Penrith to get my driving license done. All good, took 2 minutes (and £21) and then she CUT MY LICENSE IN HALF!!! I nearly had a panic. I tried to explain to her that I'd had that in my purse for 10 years, and was kind of attached to it, but she shrugged and said "Oh, we have to destroy them" end of discussion. I feel sort of naked without it.

Then we went to Morrisons and did a £135 shop. We did buy a lot. The shop is much better than ours (it got rebuilt after it got burned down, so is ver swanky), and we mooched and choosed a lot. Home Bargains isn't a shop I've ever been in, but we had great fun, bought some odd ball pressies £23.

Came home up over Hartside as it was such a beautiful day. Got a little bit lost too.

And I bought a £50 Amazon gift card. This should buy all the little stocking fillers and dvd's for dd1 in my basket. And removes the need for using the credit card. If I buy one each week, by Christmas I'll have it completely covered for next year.

Just had a fried egg sarnie for tea, with white plastic bread! Now waiting for Strictly.

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 18:00

I'm going to go and celebrate with bacon.

LonelyOversharer · 17/11/2018 18:04

wolf keep today tucked up warm in your memory. When ds is being filthy you can think of it. The good will outweigh the bad by and by. I went through an awful phase with dd1 (without any external trauma, she just went through complete puberty in about four months) and used to treasure the good moments.

These days, five years on, she is such a joy to be around.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/11/2018 18:18

Quite I'm the polar opposite of glam but I'm so out of touch with makeup it's better to get it done. One of those occasions is by a make up artist, the other a 12 year old both talented. Makeup artist says I use so little make up she feels guilty charging me full whack Grin

Wolf glad you & ds are having a good day, we are too Grin

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 18:32

That's great that today went so well wolf. Sounds like a good one to reminisce about with ds in future too.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/11/2018 18:50

Evening all,

autumn are you in contact with your friends next of kin? Could maybe have a conversation with them otherwise I don't think there's much you can do unless you feel they are a danger to themselves.

I've been working today, managed a nsd and had time to catch up with lots of stuff so that's good.

Going to watch strictly tonight

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 17/11/2018 19:02

Thanks em I will have a look later.
Wolf and mammy nice to hear you are both having a nice day.

Well I decided on the No7 range, got a couple of samples too. £23.50 3 for 2.

Did go in Superdrug and there wasn't any of the radiant range, for combination skin, it is on offer, buy one get one free.
But did see one of my old school friends working there and she gave me 2 full size B.Confident CC cream spf 45, so that was ace, they have discontinued it, so I now have sun protection too.

The body shop will be having good deals on black Friday, the sales assistant told me, so if any of you are fans...
Didn't get any bras as all the ones I tried on still seemed a bit big.
Lunch for me and dd2 £8.
So not as spendy as I thought.

AutumnLeaves12 · 17/11/2018 19:15

Not really Girlie. There's no danger involved fortunately. Just an imminent social engagement coming along which dfriend may struggle to cope with. I want to protect dfriend from being embarrassed, because dfriend is very proper. I think I have a better idea of how to proceed now though. Wolf gave me very helpful perspective.

I can't really say any more with outing self and others - always the difficulty on here, but I am learning not to say too much at least.
