Fluffy I haven't even started saving for Christmas yet Shock but have been putting money away for dds communion next year/ds's birthday so at least there's something there. We've always bought for lots of people, this year will be different H can buy for whoever he wishes to and I'm cutting back to dc & my parents & our au pair.

Unescorted catching up on our thread is a big job Grin

Em I echo what cag said thanks for sharing, you're in tune with what's good for you and self care, I'm envious of your height, if I wasn't so short my weight may not be such an issue.

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/07/2018 19:36

Eat Well for Less is on at 8pm
Hurrah !Grin

@Taytocrisps hope holiday is going well, I remember Westport house from a holiday when I was a child & have been to two hen parties in Westport it's a great town, enjoy holiday.

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 20:00

I'm grateful to you for talking about that too Em. I had no idea that so many people struggled with food and it's encouraging me to potter on with ideas here.

Still an NSD here, though I have now noticed that we are out of potatoes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2018 20:08

'diets' are not sustainable. It's about life style.
See I eat 1600 calories a day, doesn't sound much but I'm not large. That is nutritiously dense food to fuel my body. I also aim for 15k steps and 3 weight classes. I'm fitter and happier and thinner than I've ever been.
Steps are shit at the minute but I've been cycling more to and from work.
I'm teaching my kids to eat healthy, in season food but everything in moderation.

I tried sw to support a friend. O know it works for some and that's great but fucking hell I hated every second and the thought process of the group I was in.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/07/2018 20:10

How is this man on ewfl not diabetic?

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/07/2018 20:13

Life put your tracker on your ankle and it'll clock up steps! Mine are shit because I'm exhausted. Ran out of my revive active this morning, the stuff that brought me back from complete bedrest to working again €50.96 for a months supply, hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow

WreckTangled · 12/07/2018 20:15

They didn't know what an avocado was fluffy?! ShockConfused

I don't know why I watch this it infuriates me. They spend more a week on food than I earn! And the presenters want to get it down to £175 a week Confused I don't think I could spend that if I tried!

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/07/2018 20:20

I know. I bet she could go pt if they all got their arses in gear and bloody helped out with food.

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/07/2018 20:20

Omg this is TV gold shallow
£410 a week Shock
Snorting at reducing it to £175 Grin
Bloody hell thats ridiculous !
I kow Fluffy 3.5 litres of full sugar Coke .
I bet he is prediabetic but doesnt know it yet .

Wolfcub · 12/07/2018 20:23

I’ve just switched on. I think I’ll have to watch it again tomorrow. That is a ridiculous amount of sugar

cag I don’t usually share that stuff. Those who know know you know. But I’m doing ok. Luckily dh loves food and loves to cook. This is his way of helping me.

Dinner tonight was yum. Pea humous is delish. And with pea pakoras. And pittas. And salad. Mmmm.

Leftovers for lunch. Yay!

Busy this evening. Washing. Dinner. Bath for ds. Some good playing. Book reading. Washing up. Laundry. Now shower and listening to my book. I was listening at lunchtime. And Eleanor Oliphant made me cry. Oh god I feel for her.

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 20:34

What is ewfl?

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/07/2018 20:35

Eat Well For Less BBC1 right now.

We like to watch it and feel smug.

Wolfcub · 12/07/2018 20:38

Eat well for less Sunny. On bbc one now

Your dinner sounds lovely Em. I am knackered so I’ve had a bowl of crisps and a biscuit. I appreciate this is not sensible but I am done in. Parts of work today got into the personal stuff which was a bit emotional. I don’t usually do emotional in public

Have packed one holiday case and have unpacked Ocado shop. I was going to clear out the dvd cabinet ready for decorating too but I have just had enough all of my joints are on fire and I’m working tomorrow instead of my usual day off

The mum in this family seems like the toughest nut to crack

Thanks :-) Sounds interesting.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2018 20:43

Did that Mammy when I was wearing trousers. I had a dress on today. Good job I've got decent legs. Still no where near 15k though.
I need more protein powder but just can't bring myself to spend the money. I might get some sample sizes as don't use it that much now.
Sounds like money well spent on the revive stuff to me.

Rest up wolf.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/07/2018 20:48

I'd go to bed if I was you wolf. I'm in bed at 8 some nights. The mum is resistant but I suppose its a big change.

I'm interested in the corn flake batter.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/07/2018 21:03

Is joules any good for women's clothes. Just been sent a 20% off voucher and my clothes are mostly to big now. Thinking Jersey dresses for work, tips and skirts?
Seems like a public code if anyone wants it as it was on the front of a flyer

SnugglySnerd · 12/07/2018 21:14

My favourite comment on EWFL was when she wouldn't eat the yoghurt because "it tastes like sour milk". What did she think yoghurt is???

Just popped in Next to get a birthday present for a niece that I can post. £10. There was a lovely summer coat in the sale that I know DD1 would love but she already has a lightweight coat so I bought it in the next size for next year. £11. It could even be a birthday present.

Off to read the thread properly as I just skimmed.

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/07/2018 21:15

They seem to be really into stripes. :-)

Wolfcub · 12/07/2018 21:18

Good idea Fluffy I’ve just been to pick ds up. I will have a cuppa and then crash into bed
