just popping in again, sorry ive not been around much to chat, busy week and now we have DGS for weekend (Dh and he have just gone down th e paper shop so i have 5mins)..

That doesnt look so bad sunny a bit like a slendertone (i have one of those somewhere , might get it out again.). I once ordered a pelvic floor machine as was told it was a good idea sometime in my 50s to do this once you had passed menopause ... and it had to be inserted!. I opened the box took one look at this huge thing sealed up the box and back it went the same day. ..NO way!..Shock i may be being a bit old ladyish here though

Luckily i am still ok ,but thats probably more luck than anything else..

SnugglySnerd · 14/04/2018 09:11

Pleased to know I now fit into the category of older ladies Wreck! Grin

I'm not thrilled about the news either girlie. Quite worried in fact.

Wolfcub · 14/04/2018 09:47

Dropped ds off at his activity and then did a weeks shopping for two. Frugal win it’s cheaper and it seems we’re a £40 per head per week kind of family if I look back on past bills and this one but I’m feeling pretty depressed as a result. I may have upset some other shoppers wondering round the aisles muttering expletives every time I came across man stuff

Cagliostro · 14/04/2018 09:50

Catching up on the thread wincing and doing my kegels :o

It must just be luck as to whether you get a prolapse, I have been lucky especially considering the size of DS Hmm oddly I feel more “not right” (this is code for “nervous about having actual sex” sorry DH 😳😂) after tiny Cagletini than I did after either of the other two, I still feel a bit floored by it all, but that may be the whole hospital/induction thing rather than the actual birth (which was actually only 10 minutes of pushing, compared to the 80hrs of poking and prodding Hmm). Plus hormones are soooo much worse this time round! AF seems to be back to normal which is a relief although annoying, but OMG the mood swings. Steer clear! 😡😭😳

I agree there should be more awareness of these things, I wonder if some of it is not wanting to scare people but really how terrifying must it be to go through this when you don’t even know it exists? Less stigma all round would be a win.

Errrm frugal stuff, could be NSD as I’m not going anywhere but do have some things to order. Much more decluttering and organising to do today.

Also thank you so much for the link to the govt saving account, looks like DH and I would both be eligible so we will definitely do that.

WreckTangled · 14/04/2018 09:50

I should probably have a shower and get dressed.

Wolfcub · 14/04/2018 10:10

I think there are frugaleers all over the country consciously and subconsciously sqeuuzing their pelvic floor whilst reading this thread Grin

Em hope your sister had a fantastic birthday I agree with others eat all of the food. Fruit is breakfast dessert

Love Ocado are brilliant, i need to organise myself though because I’m paying for a pass but for the past month I’ve been shopping in Sainsbury’s and Lidl which is silly

Laksa enjoy the day with dgs (and the peace in the interim)

northender · 14/04/2018 10:17

Well I miss a day and it has turned into a pelvic floor/prolapse thread Grin
mammy good luck with the house hunting
Em glad settling ds at nursery has gone well, another milestone.
scarlet well done on the weight loss
wolf sorry you're having such a tough time

We're in Devon today after driving down last night. It's a flying visit for the football today and then back tomorrow. Will have to get the boys to give them an extra cheer for your dad seacow. I will go to the pub before the game as there will be a group of friends there who we don't see very often, then possibly a trip to the beach with dd, bil and dnephew.

The only spends yesterday was £8 at services (M&S food). Today shouldn't be too spendy, just the pub.

In an update on the electricity, I contacted our provider (bulb). If we think there is a problem with the meter, we can pay £125 to have it tested. If it's fine, we pay and if there's a fault, bulb pay. We've got a bit more research to do yet & then we'll see.

SunnyLikeThursday · 14/04/2018 10:18

"not right" is an excellent code phrase for that problem Cag.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/04/2018 10:22

Any good things from boden? Just got a £10 voucher in the post. I like the ruched skirt I got last year. Are the t shirt tops any good?

SunnyLikeThursday · 14/04/2018 10:29

Wolf even my ds is doing pelvic floor exercises now. LOL! oddly, I am not.

I've just been having a go at playing my violin, which I haven't done for yonks, and it sort of worked. I was pleased with that. It doesn't cost anything to do that and gave me a bit of a buzz. Smile

WreckTangled · 14/04/2018 10:36

I never get boden vouchers Envy

ChristmasSeacow · 14/04/2018 10:41

Ah thanks North, i’d really appreciate an extra cheer ❤️

Breakfast sound amazing Em. I love a really good hotel breakfast.

Dad is going home today - they’ve got him swallowing again so he can eat and drink a bit. Mum is so happy, I think she thought he’d never go home again. I’m visiting this arvo.

WreckTangled · 14/04/2018 10:42

That's great news seacow 😊

SunnyLikeThursday · 14/04/2018 10:47

That's a real emotional rollercoaster there isn't it Christmas. We've been there a couple of times too. Glad he's coming home.

SnugglySnerd · 14/04/2018 11:10

Great news Seacow

ememem84 · 14/04/2018 11:15

So. Breakfast.

Waffle with maple syrup, smokey crispy bacon, sausages, fried egg, hash brown A’s course one. Then course two - pineapple, melon, strawberries. Then course three Blush croissant with butter and jam. Loads of coffee. Orange juice and a tiny Buck’s Fizz. Mmmmmmmm.

LonelyOversharer · 14/04/2018 11:35

em that sounds utterly delicious! Hope your sister has a brilliant day.

Hopefully a nsd. The garden and sorting laundry calls.

seacow have a good visit today. He will be much better off at home if his pain is under control?

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/04/2018 11:45

Good news your dad is coming home sea. Hope the visit good ok.

Sounds lovely em

northender · 14/04/2018 11:51

Em that breakfast sounds amazing
Seacow hope the visit goes well

Dh has just ordered 15 pasties for us to take home with us. It is a bit frugal as there is a bulk buy discount!

LonelyOversharer · 14/04/2018 11:57

north when we lived in Torpoint, we always used to have an Ivor Dewdney pasty whenever we went over to Plymouth. I remember waiting in the queue! Up north sucks sometimes, but we have a good pasty shop in Keswick its not the same at all

WheelyCote · 14/04/2018 12:15

Parking

ChristmasSeacow · 14/04/2018 12:25

Ivor Dewdney are the pasty of my childhood Lonely! I was just about to ask North if that’s what she’d bought Grin. Did you know they do mail order now?

Dad’s pain is better now he had a syringe driver. The visit might be good, or he might be ‘watching’ The blow-by-blow football commentary on his iPad Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/04/2018 12:37

Life I like their camisole tops. The shoes used to be good too.

So, £4 morrisons soya milk, wonky veg 87p for spuds and 40p for onions., pasta shapes for 30p! I can see morrisons wonky veg really taking off with prices like those.
£2 lidl garlic bread, dip, bread flour.
80p coconut.
£1.99 Dolmio sauce and 1kg tilda rice.

I’ve decided to make my own tikka curry paste because my allergy stops me buying it, also I’m going to attempt creamed coconut and poppadoms. Rather than moan I can’t buy things I’ll make it instead. I hate cooking.

ChristmasSeacow · 14/04/2018 12:43

What hours are you working nowadays Fluffy - have you got time to cook? And did you ever move over completely to doing nails? I might have missed that...

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/04/2018 12:49

I only work mornings so I have lots of time. It’s interest & motivation I lack.
