Wolf Enjoy my lovely.

What kind of sicko threatens kids? Sunny I bet everyone just wanted to go and get their kids straightaway.

Cag Dh gets odd thyroid readings when he’s ill.

£1.55 gravy.

CremeEggThief · 28/03/2018 19:59

Found out via Facebook that the primary school in the village we lived in for a couple of years 'til last June was one of the ones threatened! It's a deprived pit village in the middle of County Durham, that even lots of people from County Durham don't know exactly where it is! Honestly, what is the world coming to?Hmm

NSD.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/03/2018 20:20

Hi all signing in after a hectic couple of days, not really caught up - hope you you're all okay.

Finally finished work today for a week, thank god!! Am so knackered, dd has enjoyed the holiday club but is also tired. She has managed to get a skin infection so is back on antibiotics (the second lot in 2 months) they have given her tablets this time and she has done really well at swallowing them.

Payday Ystd 😊

Ystd Nsd.

Today £38 petrol
£2 snacks
£2 lunch
£6 subway tea for me and dd.

Am normally very good at taking food to work but gave myself a break as it's been a ridiculously busy week.

Laska5772 · 28/03/2018 20:27

Still no news on either front.

Wolf can I join you for gin? Single biggest day for the year.

Laska house of commons library briefing papers... Instant expert on a range of topics. We also have internal briefs. If I need to know a subject there is a team of people to put it together... including working raw data and mapping.

Sea hope you get back to sleeping. With all you have going on you could do with unbroken sleep.

Wreck you can port your discount to another non rural property. Ask your ha.

Em join means wolf for gin. Makes the worst mil encounter more bearable.

Hope everyone else makes speedy recoveries from poorlyness except mammy's d h who if he isn't poorly should be.

Wolfcub · 28/03/2018 20:32

Unescorted · 28/03/2018 20:37

You are in luck...we have some.

The gin is kept in the freezer so you may have to warm it up

Laska5772 · 28/03/2018 20:41

We have rhubarb gin also.. (a present to DH from me ,but he wont mind, hes not here to see.

No takers for a Negroni? . I can whip up a pitcher and get out the salted almonds.... Grin (but it is school night.. )

Wolfcub · 28/03/2018 20:43

God I love salted almonds.

Laska5772 · 28/03/2018 20:44

Actually what I would like want is a soda syphon or soda stream .. anyone got one? . is it worth the bother

Cagliostro · 28/03/2018 20:51

I have a soda stream that DH was given but we don’t use it as most of the syrups have sucralose in 🤢

Unescorted · 28/03/2018 20:52

I have a recipe for homemade beer nuts.... easier than you think. Plain salted is just egg white with shed loads of salt in. Or you can put pepper or go full spice mix of your choice coating. Toss almonds in lightly whisked egg white with shed loads of salt in. Drain in a sieve put in a single layer on a baking sheet cook in hot oven for 5 minutes ( line the tray) turn them over and blast for another couple of minutes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/03/2018 20:53

We got a message from school saying they weren't affected but the authorities had been in touch to say it was a hoax anyway.

I'm not too far from crème

Unescorted · 28/03/2018 20:58

Ours are on holiday so it has passed us by. But what a strange thing to do.

Laska5772 · 28/03/2018 21:01

Ooh sounds good and simple Un I might give that a go ,.. but one of the advantages of buying the packets is that they are quite small....

Roasted chickpeas are also good.
Drain out of tin and dry on kitchen roll.
Dump in a bowl and add a goog glug of olive oil and whatever salt spices you fancy (cumin and chilli good) .
Then bake on tray in hot oven (200c) for 10 mins or so checking and rolling them around a bit until they starting to look 'dried ' and done , Yhen out on a plate and as they cool they go crispy..!

Laska5772 · 28/03/2018 21:23

Nope.. I had a look, I think soda siphons are just too expensive to run, I cartridge for just 1 ltr.... no wonder we are inundated with plastic Sad

Laska5772 · 28/03/2018 21:24

and thats after buying the siphon itself of course at about £35 upwards

CremeEggThief · 28/03/2018 21:32

That was good of the school to do that, Life.

WreckTangled · 28/03/2018 21:40
