Laska5772 · 29/03/2018 16:22

Un Ijust signed up and its already helped me with a SMI loans query (at work and was having a sneaky look on Mn Blush)

WreckTangled · 29/03/2018 16:23

Woo hoo Easter holidays! No work for two weeks Grin

Unescorted · 29/03/2018 16:23

Good. I get lost in there.

Cagliostro · 29/03/2018 16:58

£15 ice cream parlour. I had sticky toffee pudding! I discovered the other day that I like it (I’d never tried it before). This is a dangerous discovery.

£22 storage boxes, going to pack some more stuff later in between laundry

SunnyLikeThursday · 29/03/2018 17:01

That's brilliant Unescorted. I'm going to start reading those instead of the crappy BBC news website, which frequently gives me the heebie jeebies these days with news that is gross but unimportant.

I didn't get the job 😶

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/03/2018 17:13

Bugger. How do you feel?.

£15 asda. Mainly wine, pita breads, bread, foil.

Unescorted · 29/03/2018 17:15

Meh to be honest. I will be ok later.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/03/2018 17:23

It’s always a downer but a better job might come along now.

Wigwigeconomist · 29/03/2018 17:24

mrsoh that sounds such a good idea! Holiday savings and the food shop!

Yes I'm not a massive fan of noisy toys cag and em , when their battery goes-I'm so tempted not to replace themBlush I'm trying to get them into jigsaws and building blocks etc, here's hoping!

Sorry to hear about job unescorted

Chippy for dinner tonight £3
Set up an additional savings account
Got a healthy refund for an indemnity policy that I've been overpaying

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/03/2018 17:34

Mrs Have you taken advantage of the online supermarket shop new customer offers? They usually offer you discounts to lure you in. Waitrose do £20 off the first 4 shops but might not right now as it’s Easter. Sainsburys is £18 off a £60 shop. Not sure about Tesco or asda, they can be a bit stingey. If you have a cat try wilko cat litter, it’s really good but really cheap.

I’m using split peas for soups at the moment, about 70p gives me a lunch everyday. Made in the slow cooker.

When dd was a baby we lived with my mum and her rules were 'no plastic tat and no baby toys that make noise' Grin that worked for me as well tbh!!

Sorry to hear that unescorted I always think with jobs and houses if you don't get them its meant to be/ fate etc, still feels shit though!!

Kind of a spendy day,
£16 in Morrisons, got dd a dvd for Easter (Wonder anyone seen it?) and a few plants bits.
£3 coffee with a friend
£20 dentist, gave my teeth a good clean for that though, dentist told dd she will need braces and has ref her to the orthodontist, she isn't overly pleased about that!!
£30 last payment of dds school trip.
£5 on the school dinner account.

We are off to South Devon on Monday, staying at my friends parents caravan again. We have been a few times and always have a nice time, am praying the weather will be o.kay.... hoping not to spend more than £100 while we are away (hopefully less than that.)

SunnyLikeThursday · 29/03/2018 18:13

One of the perks of having a sound-sensitive child is that my ds actually goes around with a screwdriver removing all the batteries from the noisy toys. It's pretty good, that.

Sorry about the job, Unescorted.

Holiday sounds lovely, Girlie.

Spends: £12.27, between Iceland and Asda, on stuff I either forgot in my Sainsburys order or prefer in those supermarkets, like Iceland's frozen stirfry vegetables.

Wolfcub · 29/03/2018 18:28

Bloody long day today doing more than two peoples jobs now. Fecking fed up. Ds is coughing all over me which I do not need. Grumble. Thank goodness for for bank holiday weekend. We have lots of plans but that will depend on ds not being ill and me not getting it!
There may be gin later Gin
Dh has spent some money in Tesco so I need to input that into my budget and I have booked ds on summer camp £62
Nails tomorrow and theatre so will need to pay for ice creams etc and parking. Also need to pick up some jeans from Sainsbury’s.

Wolfcub · 29/03/2018 18:30

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/03/2018 19:19

Did anyone watch 'am I autistic?' last night? I am seriously wondering whether dd is more on the spectrum than I've thought she is now!!

ememem84 · 29/03/2018 19:28

wreck I🤖that!!! Love a Harry Potter gift. For our 5th wedding anniversary (wood) dh bought me a framed selection of replica wands. They are ace.

Laska5772 · 29/03/2018 19:30

Aw bugger Unescorted Sad

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/03/2018 19:39

So sorry to hear about the job unescorted Gin

wolf i’m going to move my ‘extra’ salary from this month into another account to save towards doing some studying. Still thinking about what/when I study as it’s between accounting, or a masters in HR. I almost started the masters last year but couldn’t quite commit to the time required.

Today has been a laundry day. And my house is so dirty but thought i’d save that job until DP was home as we clean together.

Feel back to normal now.
NSD

wolf are you doing the old job and the new job now?

Happy bank holiday weekend everyone!

Hope our missing frugaleers are all ok? need, lonely, meadow, audit to name a few of you Flowers

Wolfcub · 29/03/2018 19:46

Love old job but at the same time being asked to start educating myself on the new job (I also have a board paper to write for the new one) and cover for a team member who is out sick. It was a busy job to start with and it’s also Easter so my staff have leave

Cagliostro · 29/03/2018 19:49

Ha brilliant egg cup!

Sorry unescorted :(

Girlie :o I am being a bit of a snob this time round and basically only plan (for now at least) to buy naice things, and not get beepy flashy things. That is partly because I remember buying a lot for the other two and it was pointless. I know she will be given things like that anyway so may as well buy what I want myself :o trying not to buy loads in terms of volume (because we have so little space) and I’m really enjoying being choosy!

Cagliostro · 29/03/2018 20:12

Oops sorry girlie I took so long replying, the :o was actually at your mum’s toy rules, not the autism thing! I haven’t watched the programme - I tend to shy away from that sort of thing until I know what people think of it, like wanting spoilers! I think I will watch it as it sounds ok.

It’s certainly got people talking, but I have already had to share a “no, everyone is NOT ‘a little autistic’” post, as it really really winds me up when people say that. Everyone has traits, maybe even traits that make them struggle with something (like eye contact), but not everyone has enough to ‘pass’ the diagnostic test, which is a representation of the fact that they have enough traits to significantly impact their daily life. A lot of autistic people find it really hurtful as it minimises what it means to actually really be autistic 😳😂

ANYWAY. 😳

So Girlie, I know you’ve mentioned that she has an SPD dx, it is very common to be a dual dx with autism (actually am really impressed she has that diagnosed as a lot of trusts refuse now apparently!) as sensory issues are such a huge part of it. Also it’s worth noting that especially with girls, increasing pressure at times like moving up to junior/secondary school is often a cause of symptoms/behaviours suddenly becoming more apparent. Girls who have been able to ‘mask’ their issues find it harder as the pressures pile on and the mask slips IYSWIM. But what I mean is you might be seeing more of the issues now, obviously most kids find it hard to move up to a big secondary, but for autistic children it can be extreme. TBH it was moving from a tiny infant school to a massive five form entry junior that suddenly brought out lots of my DD’s issues (only took a term and a half for us to start home ed).

So it may be worth looking into further. Always happy to chat here/PM 💐

Speaking of PM sorry I haven’t replied yet sunny am about to run around like a blue arsed fly (as my DH would say Hmm) trying to get everything ready to go to mum’s for easter!
