Small boobage here so at least I get to buy cheaper bras. The only time I have decent boobs is whilst pregnant.

You know I had an awful cold that lasted two weeks? I seem to have it again and feel horrible yet again. I’m meant to be working on Monday in my new job to help out during my notice period. They are going to love me as snotty mcsnotface Shock . I really hope my new job with sensible waking up times and less reliance on frozen chips makes me less susceptible to these things!

laska I think my CS pension up to 2014 will stay where it is as it covers when I mostly worked full time and it’s available at 60 and currently worth about £5k per year. I’d like the option of an early retirement and you never know what could happen healthwise. The bit of pension from 2014 needs to be considered as the scheme got worse and I worked part time and was only worth about £1.5k per year. I need made to make a quick decision whether to make an additional lump sum payment but that one is only available at 68. I think DP ported his second bit of CS pension last year when he left but he was moving it to LGPS so worthwhile.

NSD yesterday but only as Tesco express had no strawberries or raspberries

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2018 08:43

Might be spending today, might not. Going to do some house stuff and get furniture _500 but savings will cover it

QuiteCleanBandit · 17/02/2018 09:01

Its interesting that cup size is often bigger in cheaper bras ie they are wider than in more expensive ones.
For example a 36 D in M&S looks massive compared to a 32FF .I was wearing the wrong size, both in band and cup and its made a huge difference to comfort and how I look.
No more upper back pain Smile
I particularly like Panache as they have good side support ,(non existent in cheaper bras)Im all out in front and they are so comfortable
Need veggies so planning to pop to the market but low spend as I have change in my coat pocket

Wolfcub · 17/02/2018 09:27

Ds is off out for the day (breathes sigh of relief), I have nails and brows later which will be spendy but I’m going to persuade dh that we can’t afford to go out for a late valentine lunch and we’ll just have soup instead. Romantic moi!

LonelyOversharer · 17/02/2018 09:31

So many people wear the wrong size band in bras. I want to hoick them down at the back when I see someone who's band isn't horizontal (riding up by shoulderblades). I keep my hands to myself btw!!! but I always want to tell them. I have to hoick dd1 sometimes, she's as 31F, so wears a 32, but likes them not on the tightest hooks. She is learning. My mum used to buy me 36c bras. The first time I was professionally measured I was a 30e (26 years ago) she was a bit Blush but bras and bodies embarrassed her terribly. I'm very much the other way with my girls, which makes them Blush.

Right, it's stopped raining here, so I'm off to check my handiwork and move the last few chucks. It looks like my coop survived a dark and stormy night. Maybe anotger coffe first...

QuiteCleanBandit · 17/02/2018 10:10

Lonely Im the same .
Cheaper bras just dont take into acoount different breast shapes either .
Mine are small in width but full out front and so I need side support but someone who has wide breast tissue but is less pronounced out front needs a wider cup.
Only a good fitter (not M&S they are dire)can ensure you get a good fit.
Those "moulded" cups in jersey fabric #shudder

QuiteCleanBandit · 17/02/2018 10:11

Can we have a pic of new coop?Lonely

mammymammyIRL · 17/02/2018 10:18

Lonely I think you'd be hoiking my bra at present. Bought two new jan 2017 & have worn only them since, noticed the other day the nude one's blackstrap is riding up Blush

Frugally added scrapings(60g would've been thrown out) of a Greek style vanilla yogurt to pancake mix this morn they smell lush, hopefully it imparts flavour too Smile

Signed dd up for a three week course of Relax Kids classes, they really helped last year & instructor is now back from mat leave. €25 in two weeks

Morning All.
Lonely I hate it when you see people with badly fitting bras (usually too small) wearing clingy clothes. Whatever size you are, there is a bra to fit and flattering clothes to wear grrrrrr!!
I'm in 40F but am now close to 38F which apparently will open up a whole new world of choice to me! We have 2 really good independent shops nearby so I always go to one of them. I pay more & consequently have fewer bras but they always fit properly.
Meta Power class done already. I'm struggling at the moment as I pulled my calf quite badly in circuits last week. Luckily the studio I go to is small and so I can still do most of the classes but they give me variations for the exercises I can't do, ie. anything involving running or jumping. I have put some weight back on over the past few months, which I'm really hacked off about. My eating has been really out of sorts due to emotional stress I think with my mum and ds having had various health worries. On the plus side, I've kept going with the exercise so I'm still a much better shape than I was a year ago. I'm just about back on track now, eating wise, and so hopefully I'll start to lose again.
Ds is having an amazing time away. Only 2 players in the squad will play in all 4 matches. The captain is one and he is going to be the other as he has played so well. Considering all he has been through & that he did so little in the build up, it's fantastic. I'm hoping it will give him a boost in dealing with all that is still to come in the form of GCSEs and sorting his jaw/orthodontics out.
Today I am planning to clean & tidy around & then am going to the football this afternoon. Am meeting a friend for a couple of drinks at the pub before the game (should be less than £10 spends). Dh and dd will be in so not spending, then dh & I are going to the cricket club for drinks. There is a Valentines pink gin bar but I'm not a huge gin fan so will stick to cider!
Tomorrow I'm on a late shift at work (1200-2000) which I'm hoping will be relatively quiet so that I can catch up with some paperwork. Have got all meals planned for today & tomorrow so apart from buying a chicken for tomorrow's roast dinner , there shouldn't be any spending on food.

Have a good weekend everyone, whatever you're doing.

WreckTangled · 17/02/2018 12:07

Whizzed up a lentil soup for lunch. Frugal and tasty

Wolfcub · 17/02/2018 12:15

New slow cooker has arrived. Literally a third the size of the old one. Looks solid though

ChristmasSeacow · 17/02/2018 12:53

Ah glad you enjoyed the zoo Sunny. It is funny that we just missed each other!

Cag I’m sorry to hear you can feel PND peeping over the horizon. But good that you recognise it and have better support this time.

I am a 34 JJ or K at he moment Blush. I buy from bravissimo and it’s expensive but so worth it for proper shape and support.

North I to have put a bit of weight back on. Also stress, but especially sleep deprivation I think which dies send me to sugar and with more ups and downs. I am hoping I can tackle that now dd is sleeping a bit better. Still, at least the Green Army are having a good run Wink

I finished the 70th birthday cake at 1am. I basically had to put it away until DS went to bed because he could not be kept sufficiently at bay! I was quite pleased with it in the end though and had a soothing couple of hours paining fondant sea shells. Here’s some pictures of the top of the cake. Sides had ombré ruffles of blues and greens for the sea.

Kitchen is now covered in a fine sheen of icing sugar. We’re off to take a ride on a vintage bus and steam train now but I’ve a lot of tidying and cleaning to do later. I’m also making DH’s favourite prawn linguine dinner tonight to make up for ignoring him and the kids for much of yesterday Grin

Laska5772 · 17/02/2018 13:17

36 E .I would so love to be small of nork..hate mine Sad

SunnyLikeThursday · 17/02/2018 13:51

Mine are only a 36A. I just wear m&s sports bras adds an extra inch of padding to make them look real and it seems to be okay.

SunnyLikeThursday · 17/02/2018 13:52

I wore three padded bras to my wedding to fill the gap between me and the dress. GrinGrinGrin

WreckTangled · 17/02/2018 13:54

Made the JO flapjack things from 5 ingredients and substituted the butter for 118ml of oil need this makes them vegan, more frugal and just as tasty.

SunnyLikeThursday · 17/02/2018 14:16

My apricot coloured lenses have arrived. I am now literally seeing the world through rose-tinted spectacles.

mammymammyIRL · 17/02/2018 14:38

Laska it's nice to able to spoil him when he visits.
I've taken ds to a hospital appt leaving in the middle of the night while he was in his sleep suit & remembered absolutely everything we needed for 20 hours away except his shoes Blush

Wreck I hope to make courgette chocolate brownies or cake later today but flapjacks sound good too, they can't be made low sugar though really can they?

We're going geocaching in a few minutes hopefully they'll burn off some energy

Dh had a unexpected half day off, he's spending it doing jobs instead of having fun Hmm

Spent 2.5 hours this morning sorting dds clothes chest of drawers eliminated those that are too small. Amount of clothes has vastly reduced but they all fit Grin

Dresses in wardrobe will wait for another day

If any of you got measured in marks and Spencer do look at the better bra campaign & re-measure at home. They'd put me in a 34AA if I went in today. I'm a 28DD.

North You must be so proud of him.

Sea Lovely cake. It looks delicious.

£2.50 top up shop.
£20 petrol but I paid in nectar points. So I've put £20 into the weekend away fund.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2018 14:58

Looks sore mammy
Nice cake. Those shells look fab.

£52 Aldi, £22 Iceland. Still to do sainsbury. So much for a cheaper week

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/02/2018 14:59

Well done North ds

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 17/02/2018 15:34

Ouch mammy

Well done your ds north he has done so well.

Cake is fab seacow

Glad you had a nice few days away sunny do you think that will help you feel more confident about booking another holiday?

I have always been quite flat chested but think I'm poss a C cup now, I really should get measured properly but the last two times I attempted to go somewhere I left in tears!! Nothing seems to fit me 😥

Work day today but its been fairly sensible so was able to pop into dun elm on my lunch break! Spent £41 on some blinds for the bathroom and a new lampshade for dds room. My dad gave me some money to help towards decorating costs so used that.
