My DH would never open post addressed to me Fluffy
Would kill him if he opened my parcels-I dont order much so even lightbulbs would be mine !Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/02/2018 11:01

It's ok he was told to. You could google Amazon uk CEO email address and complain. Long time loyal customer inconvienienced twice despite paying next day delivery, parcels lost etc etc.

Two shoe dyes ordered, midnight blue for leather & black for suede. Bought on eBay using nectar points.

LonelyOversharer · 14/02/2018 11:17

fluffy I love a top up shop using dp's money too! I sent him with a list to asda yesterday and he was chuffed and stunned it was under a tenner. I wrote "asda own brand seeded white batch loaf, it's in a purple bag...do not buy hovis" etc on the list. He got the message!

I'm going to take the 3 dc I have here on a super exciting trip to the builders merchants, and possibly lunch in tescos. Crikey, we know how to live! But it's kind of raining ice chips, so I think a jolly walk is off the cards. I know dd1 is going to an exhibition with my parents today I quite fancied it but mum didn't ask me! so it's nice she's having a treat.

ememem84 · 14/02/2018 11:21

£25 boots. On swim nappies and two swim outfits for ds. Eeeek. We may go swimming tomorrow. First time.

ememem84 · 14/02/2018 11:34

mammy nope. He’s playing with ds and watching Netflix.

I didn’t find boots. Did I really need them?! Nope.

Ooh exciting em we are taking R swimming in a couple of weeks, as she will have had her last lot of jabs by then (I know you can take them earlier really, I just decided to wait). Hopefully she will enjoy it, she’s the first of my babies not to scream blue murder in the bath anyway 😂😂

Laska5772 · 14/02/2018 13:37

Ok not as exciting as Love's news but I have just submitted a request for Flexible Retirement at work !! I hope they agree. It would mean working 3 days but also getting my work pension .. id actually be better off ! ! And still have foot in door of work .. they are making cuts and i know others have been allowed to do this so hopefully they will agree..
Keep all fingers crossed for me .

WreckTangled · 14/02/2018 13:40

laska that sounds great, ease you into retirement rather than working one day and finished the next. Best of luck with it

Hi guys, I've lost track of the thread. We are in the middle of a tricky disciplinary procedure and short staffed because of this, business would be easy if you didn't have staff believe me.

However, I am putting in a formal request to be fluffy's agent.

And congratulating laska and love on the (hopefully for laska) on new jobs or revised hours. Both seem to have been much needed.

Also cag, so pleased that you are feeling stronger and more able. That's brilliant news. Maybe you should keep having babies, you'll be right as rain after a few moreGrinGrin

Lost track of spends a bit but nothing spectacular.

This was my menu plan from the weekend. My friend texts her family on the Sunday and asks that objections are made formally in writing by Monday morning or the menu stands and no complaints are upheld. Liked the idea for my older family. So it copied it ha!

DS has given up sweets, chocolate, crisps and sugar for Lent. My fruit and veg bill will be massive..

To be fair to em and her DH, my DH was due to be off Thursday and Friday, it's our anniversary tomorrow, 19 years. There's no way he'll be off now, some folks work is just like this, it's hard but that's how it is.

needastrongone · 14/02/2018 15:37

laska, I've ordered a few bits from Hush, I got a 10% voucher. Couple of pairs of cropped harems, a top and a couple of sale sweatshirts.

Love it wreck I had to explain the concept of “everyone fed no one dead” to DH the other day (also “hangry” as he’d never heard it) :o some days it’s all I can aspire to! Blush

Exciting stuff laska hope they say yes! My mum did part time for a while before fully retiring and it was the best of both worlds for her.

Thanks Need hahaha NOPE :o DH said “never say never” the other week, he’s lucky I didn’t chop it off Hmm Wink in all seriousness though I am absolutely amazed at how things have improved - lots of people said that pregnancy can sort of ‘reset’ people who have illnesses like mine (a friend of a friend even managed to get rid of the wheelchair she had been using full time Shock :)) but I didn’t let myself believe it. Still having the odd bad day but it’s really good to think about just how much better everything is now. :)

NSD here. Roast chicken later woohoo!

ememem84 · 14/02/2018 16:23

I’m excited to take C swimming cag hopefully he likes it!

Im just disappointed by dh. I know he’s busy. It’s just this is the third time he’s done this.

Massage moved to Sunday.

mammymammyIRL · 14/02/2018 16:29

need My work is like that too, I could plan my day for Sat and end up last thing Fri eve cancelling to come to work. That was tongue in cheek at em's dh Smile

Not all dh's are bad Smile

needastrongone · 14/02/2018 16:44

Blush mammy. I get the work thing totally though. X

My DH wins the prize though, working on our booked off anniversary. We were going shopping, having lunch etc. Ho hum. Shit happens. He wouldn't if he didn't have to I guess.

Wow cag, that's interesting. It does seem like you've been reset somewhat doesn't it?

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/02/2018 17:15

Cag are you taking Vit d? I was reading up on it yesterday & they said people with ms, fibro etc should take it. I'm low & my legs ache when I walk upstairs.

Need It's just the demands of running a company isn't it?. It won't be nice for him either. I bet you get a huge bouquet on the day.

There's a second hand super car business here advertising for sales staff because the applicant they offered it to didn't want to work weekends. It's a six figure salary. I suspect most six figure salary jobs aren't mon to fri, 9-5.

I'm picturing Love Trying to look professional today but wanting to grin.

Quite How is the gas consumption going? On the front of your meter does it say M squared?. Some properties, if their old, have the old imperial metres, I think they say F squared (I don't know the mathematical symbol for squared, 2? 3?) anyway if you have metric but they don't convert it to metric you have huge bills.

QuiteCleanBandit · 14/02/2018 17:42

Fluffy
Have bollocked household sternly
Maybe prematurely Blush??
Will have a look at both meters in daylight.
Heating still off
Out today with friends for a walk at NT place and soup for lunch £4.95 (it was cold and windy)
Sainsburys £58 -triple points voucher used and slippers for DD for Christmas Blush in TU 25% off
DH had done all the cleaning when I got home

needastrongone · 14/02/2018 18:05

fluffy the employee involved in the disciplinary procedure would like a 6 figure salary on a 9-5 hours contract. It doesn't work like that....

Btw, employment law if where you need to be at. £250 per hour for the lawyers time, charged in tenths of hours if required. This whole business will cost us over a grand.

needastrongone · 14/02/2018 18:07

Yeah I know, I don't mind. I'm used to it over the years and we get the financial reward. Many do very long hours for pennies.

Here's my card for DH, who says romance is dead eh?

needastrongone · 14/02/2018 18:08

And won't post from the iPad...

Wolfcub · 14/02/2018 18:23

Need that is exactly the sought of card I would have bought dh if we were exchanging cards this year

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/02/2018 18:31

That card is hilarious need as is the mug wreck love those leggings as well.

We have had a nice day, met up with a friend this morning, plan was to go to the kids club cinema but it was sold out so went bowling instead, spent £13 ish including drinks and going on the arcades.

Went to b n q to buy stuff to paint dds room, £64 as I needed all the brushes, rollers etc as well as the paint. Used £40 of money I've made by selling stuff recently so didn't feel too bad! Sold dds toybox today as well so that's another £15 in the pot.

Painting day tomos 😐
