Doggy smells can be got rid of as others say. How did the house feel/ fit the brief?

Gws poorly frugaleers.

Not sure then wolf. Might be worth a phone call.

Written 3 out of 6 examples. Just spending time reordering my scraps of notes too so they are I one place. Just having a cuppa break.

ememem84 · 30/01/2018 11:45

My ideal house was: country cottage, south facing garden, wood fire, three double bedrooms, ensuite.

This is the place. There is wiggle room on the price.

looks lovely can you turn that integral garage into a room? ours is a bit similar and used to have an integral garage ,. just not neccesary and a waste of house space I think ,

Apparently I'm fine. My nice GP put a finger oximeter on and tested my blood pressure and listened to my chest. He says whatever it is, it will go away.

Must remember to rest anyway though, because that is what is actually making it go away.

PollyShelbyLifeCoachServices · 30/01/2018 12:07

Nsd, goof day for a change....

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2018 12:34

Looks nice. Dining table in the garage/ utility is mad. I'd have made the snooker table go out there.

Taytocrisps · 30/01/2018 12:54

That's lovely em. I particularly like the garden. I was a bit freaked out when the Live Chat thing came up. I'm sure the Estate Agent is wondering why so many people are viewing that particular house Smile. Our house came with a garage so we opted to convert it into a room but there isn't as much insulation there as in the rest of the house, so it's freezing in winter.

Glad to hear all is ok Sunny

I went out for my walk so thanks for the inspiration em. I walked to the other end of the town, around the perimeter of the park, and back home again. Probably a little over 4 km.

ChristmasSeacow · 30/01/2018 13:14

Hello! It’s been busy on here...

Dog smell can defo be eliminated Em. Might need new carpets but that’s not so bad Wink

Sorry to hear there are so many poorly people. I don’t remember ever hearing about as much flu as this winter - loads of RL friends have been struck too Flowers

Wreck how’s DS’s mouth now? Sounds a bit grim

Very cute Cag she’s changed a lot from the early photos. Babies’ faces kind of unfold over their first couple of months, I find.

We’ve had a bit of turbulence here with sleep training. Sunday night there was a 2-Hour period of crying after one of her night wakings - DH couldn’t deal with it so I did. Tbh I only carried on because she would fall quiet now and then and I know she would go to sleep in one of the lulls... and also I thought I might undo my previous efforts and confuse her if I just cuddled her to sleep instead. So I didn’t but it was horrible and I cried a bit too. HOWEVER it does seem to have flicked a switch. For the rest of the night and last night she slept loads better and didn’t wake up every 90 min sleep cycle as she usually does. In fact she settled herself to sleep at bedtime at 7.30pm and only woke once to feed at 1ish (going straight back to sleep on her own) then up at 6.30. This is a miracle for her - previously we’d have had 3-4 wakings at least in that time, and she’d have needed to be held for hours and resisted being put down. She is also in the BEST mood today! I’ve had tonnes more sleep than normal but did wake up a couple of times and check she was actually alive. I could still sleep for a week but I do think we are getting somewhere at last!

I have just celebrated with an unfrugal trip to Mothercare where I bought a few clothes and a noisy toy that DD took a shine to (i Favour naice wooden toys so there’s not much beepy plastic in our house). But she is a GOOD GIRL. £48.

Not sure how long the good mood will last as she slept in the car for 5 mins and now won’t nap. But shes just stuffed her face with baked beans. I am not looking forward to that nappy.

Not sure how I’m going to get anything done today with no nap but I’ll just enjoy the mood I think!

Cagliostro · 30/01/2018 13:52

Aah that’s fab news seacow so happy that sleep is improving!

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2018 13:57

thats excellent news Sea - and a well deserved treat too.

Loveabaconsandwich · 30/01/2018 14:34

Two weeks in, I think i’m finally getting rid of my cold. But I do feel completely done in but just need to get through work tomorrow. Thursday I can give in!

My parents are looking after DD2 for a few hours as they wanted to see her. I have just come home and shut my eyes and rested. Got to get DD1 from school in a minute and then back to my parents to collect DD2.

Spendy day
£55 Tesco
£32 amazon on two birthday presents
£26 at new look on another birthday present
Should get £17 back from amazon as returned something

You do sound like progress is being made seacow

Hope shutting up for the final time isn’t too hard lonely Flowers

cag just before I was about to go out towards the post office I realised I didn’t have your address for the swim nappies

Sorry to everyone else I have missed. I do love hearing from all of you

Loveabaconsandwich · 30/01/2018 14:36

Our house smelt fine when viewing it, but in the weeks before purchase the owner had left his teenage sons there alone. So it was icky and stunk of pot when we moved in so you never know em

Cagliostro · 30/01/2018 14:41

Aargh! Sorry memory like a sieve 😳 will PM if that’s still ok but no worries if I’ve missed the boat 😳

SunnyLikeThursday · 30/01/2018 14:56

Cag we have started on the BBC Microbit and it's very good, and very easy to programme. Much easier than the raspberry pi, and still easier than the Arduino, which was previously the easy one.

needastrongone · 30/01/2018 15:18

Good news Seacow on the training! Fingers crossed you've broken the cycle. I reckon she's a very clever girl, she seems to have figured it out pretty quickly. Plus, toughing it out a couple of nights ago kind of give you the incentive to keep going forward with it and not undo the good work I would expect. A few of us on here have sleep trained in one form or another I think, no one seems to have regretted it. You deserve the treat.

Smells are removable Em, we once viewed a house that had 2 heavy smokers living in it. We would have had to rip out the carpets, curtains (if left) and even repaint but we could see the potential. The position and light and space were excellent.

I've had a LSD, £4 on a fitness class.

I also did a run with my best running buddy and have done a fair bit of tidying.

Sadly, both dogs were attacked on our walk by another dog. Both are okay but it will do ddog2 no good at all as he's extremely timid anyway as he was attacked very viciously as a puppy (broken leg). I don't ever understand why owners don't put their dogs on lead when they see other dogs if they know theirs are reactive, the bloke let us approach. Never even said sorry and just hit the dog - right, that's going to work a treat!

Tomorrow is my admin day as I'm not working so hopefully some frugal gains there.

needastrongone · 30/01/2018 15:20

That's the thing isn't it Love, it's tough when you can't give in to it as you say. Sounds like a bad dose you've had.

Moanranger · 30/01/2018 15:53

Flippin National Trust!
I was thinking to meet with old (25+yrs) NCT group at Petworth to view the William Blake exhibit, & they want £12 extra! Unbelievable. I could drive to London & go to Tate Britain for less-so much for that idea.
Cag-Duchess-Wreck -any other W Sussex peeps do I have a tip for you - the Trading Post in Barnham. Somewhat random selection of food & dry goods, but I shop there first, then go to Lidl, Aldi, Co-op, etc.
Some incredible, random deals, and the only place I can get caustic soda, for something like 68p to unblock drains. V good veg.
Re Hungry Guest - I don’t eat there, but do buy their bread, which is sold around & about the county - seeded sourdough & pain d’alsace. Not frugal, but tasty.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2018 16:07

Oh no need, poor ddogs. Scary when that happens

MissingMo · 30/01/2018 16:13

Well done @seacow on the sleep training hopefully continued improvement

@Need sorry about your ddogs, some people are so inconsiderate.

I've avoided leaving the house today to resist temptation to spend. Did have a browse on gaps website but stopped myself before I purchased anything. Tesco shopping came. Only one substitute which was lettuce. Gave me double the carrots I had ordered which was annoying in terms of cost and quantity. Will have to find a way to use them all.

SnugglySnerd · 30/01/2018 16:16

That looks lovely Em.

NSD. 2 in a row. Hooray!

WreckTangled · 30/01/2018 16:42

Love the house em!
*
Seacow* pleased the sleep seems to be improving. Ds' mouth is ok. Have attached a photo of the split lip tie, sorry to those who are squeamish Grin

Moan I like their pastries! Barnham is a bit of a trek for me unfortunately.

Ds has chosen jacket potatoes with tuna and sweet corn for dinner.

WreckTangled · 30/01/2018 16:43

Oh I see the bold is being shit on the app again Hmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/01/2018 16:44

Cag Shes such a little cutie. A wide awake one though.

Sunny I think it's the virus affecting the rythm if memory serves, I've had post viral rashes too. It looks just like meningitis & you get two GP's peering at you. From a distance.

Need That's awful. Poor dog being hit though.

Em Are you making an offer on that one?.

£15 in Tesco. £10 of that was two Dylon dye pods though. Black & navy. Might try dying my white sandals dark blue with some leather dye.

ememem84 · 30/01/2018 16:45

Have seen 3 houses today and it’s doing ds no good. Lack of routine and all that.

Tomorrow we’re having an indoors day.

He’s going through a very fussy stage at present. According to wonder weeks it’s leap 4. He has 13 days left. Eeek.

He’s changing so much.
