Oh wow Em 😊💙👶! He's adorable 💙💙. What lovely news to wake up to on a dark Monday morning!! How amazing are you?!! So quick - well done you (and your DH of course!) x

Cagliostro · 25/09/2017 06:27

Hope little one gave you some sleep Em and that you are recovering and being well looked after. Bet you can't stop staring at him. You MADE this gorgeous little squishy baby! Well I suppose your DH helped a bit. :o So scrumptious ❤️

Sunny keep posting whenever you need, we are all here! Glad you've got some back up in place. It's less than 3 days and you can totally totally do this Thanks

Still horribly dark at half 6 ugh. Summer is definitely over. Can't sleep again but hope I can still have a productive day later.

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/09/2017 06:31

Congratulations em 🎉 And such a good boy for arriving at the weekend. Hope you have enjoyed your first few hours with your new little family

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/09/2017 07:03

On my usual early train but today I have the joy of staying on it for three and a half hours one way all the way Birmingham. My colleagues are due to join the train soon but hoping they don’t find me, will pretend to be asleep if they call Grin . Lunch better be good!

Hoping to use the time to learn how to match bet

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/09/2017 07:17

Awesome cakes Seacow and Need.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/09/2017 07:23

Congratulations Em, I see your usual efficiency applies to child birth too. He looks so beautiful 💙. I hope they let you go home soon.

Lovely cakes ladies.

WreckTangled · 25/09/2017 07:25

Wow em congratulation! You really did take after your mum with your labour. I'm pleased it was a straight forward birth can't believe how quick it was!

Seacow that cake is amazing!

Work today. Too excited about em's baby to post anything else Grin

CollieBobs · 25/09/2017 07:51

Oh man I love this thread! I wake up to cake and baby photos.

em congrats to you and your little family!! FlowersWineBrew hope EmCat settles down the with the baby soon. It took our CollieCat awhile to adjust but they are madly in love now. CollieCat lovingly headbutts DS so hard that he tumbles sideways (gently of course). Enjoy your snuggles. I fondly remember snuggling all cosy indoors during autumn and winter whilst DS was new. Now I'm madly in love with that time of year ( I was a Summer girl before that) Flowers

So today shall be a NSD! Smile apparently the autumnal weather starts on Wednesday (Atlantic stormyness) so I'm going to spend the day washing towels and blankets so they can dry in the garden.

WreckTangled · 25/09/2017 07:53

Autumnal here today. It's very wet and so dark that I had to go in and get ds out of bed. He was awake but thought it was still the middle of the night!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/09/2017 07:55

Congratulations Em. He's gorgeous. Enjoy all the cuddles.

Taytocrisps · 25/09/2017 08:19

Aww.... adorable photo of Baby em in his little dinosaur babygro.

It's a misty morning here. Hopefully we'll have a sunny day when the mist clears up.

I've to start defrosting my freezer soon in preparation for the new fridge arriving tomorrow. I'm mega excited about my shiny new fridge and a lot more storage space. I clearly need to get out more! The old fridge lasted 18 years and one house move. It was a very generous housewarming present from DH's aunt and uncle when we bought our first house together.

Taytocrisps · 25/09/2017 08:20

Oh, I meant to say fab cakes Seacow and north. Take a bow ladies!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/09/2017 08:32

Oh my goodnesss Em Shock you have a baby!!! Congratulations, wonderful news and I am Envy at how speedy it all was yes I am looking at you faulty cervix enjoy these first few days. Also be fully prepared to feel like your house has been invaded by a mini alien on your first night home Grin so exciting Smile

Those cakes are seriously impressive Star Star

Day off today, need to catch up at home and sort the ginormous pile of washing out but am also fitting in meeting a friend for coffee. Should be a NSD....

Thanks Mammy. We've made it through the four hours before school without turning on the telly. Smile

SnugglySnerd · 25/09/2017 08:49

I had to come back for another look at Em's baby!
Autumnal weather has already started here. DD1 is poorly and I've been up with her most of the night so it's wall to wall CBeebies and chocolate biscuits here today! Hoping the babies don't catch it.

needastrongone · 25/09/2017 08:50

Been a busy few days IRL here so I'm behind but...

Fantastic and wonderful, brilliant news Em. He's adorable. Take care of yourself and him and DH and enjoy. I agree, you don't imagine it's possible to love something so much in the universe.

Amazing cakes too!

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/09/2017 08:52

Urrrgh train is delayed 50 mins due to cattle on the line. And I need a wee but I will lose my seat (as I was reserved a seat on the wrong train) if I move. Ahhhh

needastrongone · 25/09/2017 08:53

Snuggly Sounds like a plan. Both of my DC watched what would probably be deemed to be far too much telly when they were small, they appear fine... If it gets you through a difficult patch, why not? CBeebies was my saviour at times. Hope your DD is okay.

SnugglySnerd · 25/09/2017 08:54

She's feeling very sorry for herself Need. I think due to lack of sleep as much as feeling ill. I'm just having a coffee in the kitchen but I'd better go and see how they are all doing!

CollieBobs · 25/09/2017 09:13

I have been invited for another interview! Oh my days. And they are aware that I can only do part time. Yayers!!

Get well soon to your dd snuggly we've had a few of those Cbeebies & malted milk days.

love arggh! Focus on something outside of the train.

I need to read up on 30 free hours of nursery which DS's lovely nursery do (after I get a job, of course!). But I won't need 30 hours - I'll only need 20 hours and I don't think that's allowed. It's all or nothing.

Just because I have 2 interviews booked doesn't mean I'll have a job offer by the end of next week though.

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/09/2017 09:46

collie unless your nursery have odd rules, I don’t think there is any reason why you can’t just do 20 hours with the 30 hour’s scheme. You’ll just fill in a form to tell the nursery how many hours you want. You may have to wait until half term or start of term though.

Now hitting the Coca Cola to try and make myself wake up

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/09/2017 09:47

snuggly hope DD is feeling better, a CBeebies day plus biscuits sounds like the perfect medicine

ChristmasSeacow · 25/09/2017 10:16

Collie there's nothing in the govt rules about all or nothing, but some nurseries do have rules to try and fill their places completely. DS's preschool did but as they had some spare capacity they were prepared to be flexible about fewer days (but not short days as no one else can use the last couple of hours of the day!). Fingers crossed.

Poor DD has her first cold. Only a snuffle but she is having EVEN MORE trouble feeding! After the excitement of the weekend I am knackered so we are having a relaxing day today. I am planning to cuddle DD and gradually return the kitchen to normal. And eat the chocolate cake offcuts

Should be an NSD for me, cheating a bit though as I am sending DH to get baby olbas oil.

You can do it Sunny! I expect the time will race by
