Little traitor sitting on dads lap 😹

Mines binned me for the radiator bed, the radiators off so it's not even cosy.

WreckTangled · 23/09/2017 20:41

I know! I'm on the sofa too so more room.

This is the sausage casserole recipe I use

SnugglySnerd · 23/09/2017 20:43

How good was Debbie McGee???

I have a cat on me. He's lovely and warm.

thewaitresses · 23/09/2017 20:47

Debbie McGee was brilliant!

ememem84 · 23/09/2017 20:53

Catface. She's slowly wiggling over to kick dh off the couch.

She's also just farted. 🐈💨

I may have to leave the room.

Omg Debbie McGee was amazing!

WreckTangled · 23/09/2017 20:58

Biscuit never farts Hmm

Fluffy I emailed coral and they sent back a generic email saying that as stated in the t's&c's they expire after four days...

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/09/2017 21:03

.Well you can complain to the CEO but keep the account because coral do lots of offers.

I tell fluffy cat daddy loves you very much but not as much as mummy & you remember that.

ememem84 · 23/09/2017 21:05

Catface knows she's my girl. She'll go to dh for pats and snuggles if I'm not in. But when I'm here...she's all my girl.

Taytocrisps · 23/09/2017 21:23

Since I posted earlier, we discovered that DH got paid (he wasn't due to be paid until Monday). He also got his annual bonus. So we hit the shops. I got my runners (€88) and we got 3 pairs of shoes (boots for me and DD and Doc Martens shoes for DH). The shoes came to €135. We also ordered a fridge. I think I've posted before that our current fridge is freezing all the veg. and one of the shelves broke a few years ago, so we don't have enough shelf space. Unfortunately, we've a fitted kitchen so we were restricted in terms of the height and width of the new fridge. Most of the fridges were too high and/or too wide for the unit. In the end, we opted for a 60/40 fridge freezer. It was €405 including delivery charge.

We treated ourselves to a Chinese meal. We shared a starter (ribs) and I had scallops with green pepper and black bean sauce for the main course. We skipped dessert and coffee but they brought us a selection of chopped up fruit with our bill. The meal came to €73.70 including a tip.

CollieBobs · 23/09/2017 21:28

Just did some Xmas shopping on The Entertainer. There were some good offers! So that's DS and DN sorted. Tadaaa! Star

LonelyOversharer · 23/09/2017 23:31

Mn threw my post out earlier. So I sulked and ate a whole bag of licorice allsorts. But we skipped tea and had olives and cheese instead.

Did a lot of pulling up nettles, I can almost see the garden again. Gave the chickens ds' plastic chad valley climber and slide to play on (totally outgrown and green from living in the garden), and my lovely neighbour my unused (ever) faded compost bin outs self and waves to neighbour so some stuff 'gone'. Still needed a jumper and jeans on laska lucky you for your weather.

I am finally not broody at all. It is a nice feeling (only took 4 babies, 6 yrs breast feeding and hitting my 40's).

tayto mcspendy sometimes we all need a little spend up. Fridge and needed shoes doesn't sound like frivolous unplanned spends though! Hope your tea was ace. We find the fewer takeaways we have, the better they taste.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/09/2017 00:49

Woke up to a screaming DD1 (for the second time tonight) who was very poorly all over the bathroom floor. DD2 then woke up too and demanded milk Sad

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/09/2017 06:43

Sorry to hear that Love. That's my least favourite kind of night. How are you all now?

I'm not broody either. I've seen two newborn babies this week, and it reminds me of the fog of sleep-deprivation and constant crying that was our early months years. If I get broody, I will buy a camera, or something else that can be put in the cupboard. not even brave enough for a pet.

WreckTangled · 24/09/2017 07:21

Oh no love is it a bug?

I love the newborn stage, the feeding, the snuggles

Spinning this morning. Dh is paying for me. Then we're going to the farm park and taking a picnic. Will be a small spend if the dc want to ride a pony.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/09/2017 07:26

Oh no love, rubbish night. Hope dd1 feels better soon.

I've never felt broody I don't think. Newborns are cute though. Saw a month old this week who was gorgeous. Don't want one though that I can't give back.

Footy today. Pray for nice weather.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/09/2017 07:28

DP thinks she may have eaten some off strawberries. He threw away some dodgy ones but gave her some that looked ok. She was the only one who ate them and the only poorly one.

DD1 and DP are still asleep (he slept on her floor so he is a Star). DD2 got up at 6am. Washing machine is already on- luckily looks like a good drying day. Nap time after lunch for us!

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/09/2017 07:31

Hopefully it's out of her system now then and she can rest today. X

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/09/2017 08:00

DD1 is up and awake and chirpy as anything. Not fancying food though. Children do bounce back quickly!

SnugglySnerd · 24/09/2017 08:16

I have 2 babies and I am broody! They are growing too fast and doing all sort of grown up things like rolling over and babbling. They are adorable but I feel like the newborn phase was over much too fast.
I agree with Sunny about the sleep deprivation though.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/09/2017 08:24

When DD2 was about 6 months old snuggly I was desperate for DC3. It seemed so easy as she slept through early. Now the logistics of taking a toddler on the school run and getting up at 5am recently with her etc have kicked in, not so desperate!

ememem84 · 24/09/2017 08:26

Baby update. Still no baby. I have been awake since 430 though. To put it nicely I don't think the raw red cabbage that was part of dinner agreed with me. It may not have been the cat last night... 🐈💨

Should be nsd today.

LonelyOversharer · 24/09/2017 08:32

love hope dd1 is over it, what a superstar to make it to the bathroom though! So much easier to deal with than in the bed/bedroom floor. Have a gentle day today.

Work and garden for me today. I shall be earth moving, so might nip out and treat myself to a new spade (I'm using the pick axe to break up the ground) as my only one is bent and buckled. Its dry and breezy here, so I'm going to risk the school uniform on the line outside.

I adored all things baby, which came as a surprise to me. I had 4 incredibly straight forward pregnancies, love newborns and feeding (time and sleep deprivation are definitely fuzzing the bad bits), but found very willful toddlers the hardest work. I'm really enjoying my 'big' dc now as well.
