£2.50 sainsburys for dhs lunch.
£1 parking.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/08/2017 17:24

wreck I do like those boots. But I have a pair that someone on here me buy earlier in the year that were uggs and £50ish in the sale. You at least need a discount code!

Ended up staying home today and feeling worse. Such a bad head. Do wonder if I had far too much sugar yesterday and very dehydrated.

ememem84 · 19/08/2017 17:26

wreck omg those babies do not look happy in their buckets. Ha! 😂

Ffs. Dh can't get the pram to fold down. I did it before. Then went for a wee. Came back and it's all in bits (well the seats off). Now he can't fold it. He hasn't read the instructions. Sigh.

Loveabaconsandwich · 19/08/2017 17:34

Ah it is better you practice now without babyem though. Pouring rain plus baby and non folding pram is awful. Same with awkward car seats. Make the most of travelling easily for the last few weeks.

Ive just pulled out all our runner bean plants as simply cant eat freeze or pickle any more .. but what I am doing is saving the beans inside the ones that have got too big (and there are loads of them) to dry and use in the winter in stews and chillis .. It seems that ( according to Alys Fowler ), we inthe UK at are unusual in eating the pods only.. Hoping this will be a good thing Ill have loads!

NSD for me though Dh went to co op and bought some wine and pork chops for dinner.. we will be having them with homegrown salad and tomatoes and home grown sweetcorn (of which we also have loads this year)..

I am also going to need to think about what to do with all the apples and pears.. Its been a great year for garden produce..

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/08/2017 18:05

I just got rid of a huge bag of baby toys to our local toddler group, and also some cushions that we used to use for gymnastics in the living room. Now I have a free box for storing lego and half a chance of hoovering the living room. Victory!

I seem to be in spring cleaning mode with a vengeance. I wonder why?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 19/08/2017 18:07

OMG those boots, they are lush but £200 Shock I love boots but could never bring myself to part with £200 for a pair!!

Dd had a rubbish riding lesson in the end Sad she was on one of the 'naughty' ponies who wouldn't do anything she asked him to and she ended up in tears. Am pretty annoyed actually, i'm not sure this pony should be used in lessons as he is such hard work and all the kids hate riding him!! Would it be unreasonable to say something to the instructor or would that make me one of those mums?! Wink

Had lunch at mums, have ordered a canvas print as a Christmas gift which was £9.

Cagliostro · 19/08/2017 18:11

I used a bath chair for the Caglets and it was so fab I have already bought one for Cagletini! No trying to support slippery, wriggly little person with one hand while washing with the other. Absolutely worth the tenner!

Need to get some 'bump bands' I think, not sure where from as I haven't seen any. Getting stretchy pain now ugh.

£45 lunch, Caglets were at a birthday party so DH and I had a date!

Incidentally, no that is not me in the photo 😂😂

Em I remember hearing last time round that it's good to start using the nipple cream (especially if it's a Vaseline one) before the birth. I can't remember why but I'll probably do it anyway Confused

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 19/08/2017 18:14

I mean the Vaseline type (ie thick not a creamy lotion kinda thing) not that it's actually made by Vaseline. Typing on crowded bus ha. I'll be using lansinoh again I think

That chair's great Cag. I'm tempted to get one now. LOL!

Lansinoh was nearly the undoing of me. DS couldn't stand the taste and once screamed all night rather than latch on because of it. As soon as I washed the stuff off he was fine. I think all babies must just be different, just like adults.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/08/2017 18:24

Girlie I once road a horse like that and it bolted and I ended up going over its head and getting run over by it. I think it would be entirely reasonable to complain before that happens. I was ten at the time.

CremeEggThief · 19/08/2017 18:34

Gosh, you're on a roll, Sunny. As a big fan of minimalism, keep going. I bet you already feel loads better for getting rid of so much stuff. Star

Safe journey home, Need.

Girlie, it might be worth speaking up about the pony, especially if most of the kids seem to find him hard work. Your poor DD!

Spends: £3.06 Aldi ( I got salad leaves, plum tomatoes, a pack of 4 plain croissants and chocolate spread for that!Halo); £3.90 coffee and cake in a café and £6.24 on Amazon, for some school stuff for DS.

ememem84 · 19/08/2017 19:07

girlie absolutely speak to the instructor. Dd or you is paying for lessons not to sit on an uncontrollable pony, if she's not enjoying it (which I can imagine she isn't) she's not going to learn.

I demanded asked to switch ponies a while back as the one I had when I first started back was an absolute dream while re-learning and on the lunge line but because I hadn't ridden "loose" for a while she absolutely did her own thing and took advantage. My instructor put me on a more placid pony for about a year and now I'm back on or was before my "maternity leave break" the original one. I'm stronger now and have more skill to tell her who's boss.

We think pram may be faulty. So we're taking it back to the shop on Monday. 😭 we've also taken stock of everything we have so far quite a lot so now know what we need to buy.

cag we worked out that although pampers nappies were on a buyone get one free the boots ones (same amount of nappies) were way cheaper. Also the lanisoh - boots own same amount was about £3 cheaper. I've never used it before but the ingredients were the same.

The bath chair seems like a great idea. Where is it from?

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/08/2017 19:09

Thanks Creme, yes it is nice to have the space. I always feel bad getting rid of things as they take memories with them, bit it's good to have the space. I feel at the moment as if cleaning has got too much of a faff, and that's always a sign that a skip is wanted. :-)

SnugglySnerd · 19/08/2017 20:38

I loved Lanisoh when breastfeeding. It is also good for teething babies with dribble rash.
We didn't bother with a baby bath. I made DH dunk them in the normal bath (I was too scared of dropping them). If you really want one look in charity shops. Our local one always has baby baths for a couple of quid.

Sunny I'm a bit envious of your decluttering. Our kids' stuff seems to be expanding!

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/08/2017 21:15

Snuggly Gosh, yes you must have quite a lot of stuff for three little people, at two different ages. I've always been nervous of giving baby stuff away, in case of a second baby, but I think that is really not going to happen now, so I'm biting the bullet. The baby clothes are already gone, so that made a lot of space.

The next tricky part is that we have lots of boxes of misc toys in the attic, which ds loves to take down and root around in for half an hour, and then put back up. I think we might just rationalise those a bit though. He's very good about that sort of thing.

WreckTangled · 19/08/2017 21:19

Lanisnoh is also good for sore lips better than any lip balm.

We had a seat like cag's too. Think it was from mothercare or amazon.

Spent a fortune at Asda the dc were tired and acting up and dh was pissing me off because he kept wandering off looking at things instead of helping me and when kept telling me to all down etc ffs. £50 on school uniform and £95 on food.

SunnyLikeThursday · 19/08/2017 22:57

I need a new keyboard for my computer, but it's really irritating me having to spend the money as it's only one shift key that's gone. £30 seems a lot for a new shift key that will look the same as the old one. Confused

I think it has to be done though. It's driving me crackers.

Laska5772 · 20/08/2017 06:14

Ive given up on the Amitriptilyne already , 4 days in and i was like a zombie.. I havent taken it since Friday but the last two nights ive had to go to bed before 8pm! just cou;dnt stay awake and at friday at work the brain fog was far worse than pre migrane and was making me feel sick as well .. Obviously not for me .. but aftre crashing out just aftre dinner last night I was awake this morning before 5 __which is a bad thing because I was onthe Hush site again-- . but Im feeling more like myself again..

So far actually the sciatica pain is still dumbed down.. so maybe it wil have done its job.. I was only on the lowest dosage as well..

Sadly I cant tally join inthe baby talk ! and the last time I was on a horse it definately knew who was the boss. (I still remember it turning around baring its teeth at me when i tried to get it moving ) Grin

Sunny I have one of these wireless keyboards which i use when I have my work laptop here .. its really good..

Em I was thinking about catface.. as she sounds a bit nervy.. the cat we had at at the time moved next door when i brought my newborn son home and never really came back .. perhaps you should invest in some Feliway for the time you bring the boy home if you haven t already ?

WreckTangled · 20/08/2017 07:19

Spinning this morning then a family get together at lunch time. Joy.

ememem84 · 20/08/2017 08:34

laksa felliway was our saviour when we brought catface home almost a year ago. We went without it for a few months and she was fine but with us trying to sell the house and the noisy neighbours upstairs I've had to re-invest. She's doing ok though.

Last night she went back to usual routine of dinner, then snuggles on the couch, then a play with mousie/shoelaces/invisible enemy only she could see then I went to bed and she stayed on bed with me until apparently she decided dh should come to bed too.

She apparently goes back in the living room and meows at him until he gets up off "her" couch

This morning at 6 she hopped on bed and snuggled in them meowed for food. So she's been fed (back to normal food portions now) and has disappeared under the bed for a sleep.

Nsd planned for today. Payday tomorrow. Yippee!!

WreckTangled · 20/08/2017 08:50

£6.50 spinning but the sound isn't working so I'm asking for a refund

ememem84 · 20/08/2017 09:11

I've given up trying to sleep. And have been sat on the couch with tea, squash and fish fingers for a while. Am watching the doc on BBC 2 (via iPlayer) "no more boys and girls"

It's really interesting.

Cagliostro · 20/08/2017 12:31

Ooh I haven't watched that yet. I feel very strongly on gender stereotyping though and DD is turning out the same (disgruntled society tells her that girls shouldn't be into dinosaurs etc). Found some gorgeous science/space baby clothes in mothercare and of course they are in the boys section. Why?! Hmm

Did you watch the rest of child genius BTW, all I'll say is that the person who won was Not My Favourite. Thanks also for the tip about the Boots brand lansinoh, will check that out! We used Boots nappies with the Caglets, DH worked for them at the time so they were even cheaper. I might get some Aldi ones as I have heard great things but we can't get there so easily. Lidl is nearer though. I wonder what Tesco are like as we get our groceries delivered by them anyway and it'd be convenient. Bath seat was from Boots also, down to a tenner rather than £15 but there are similar online/mothercare etc.
