Em - you are going to get quite a bit bigger, I'm sorry. I know you think you probably couldn't get bigger, but you will. But it will be totally worth it, I promise. But it's okay to be getting fed up. You will still enjoy the bit of time you get when you finish. I remember those 2 weeks really fondly, it felt like the calm before the storm.

I'm doing Metafit again tonight, you are doing a fair bit too at the minute Life?

I'm going to go to the track too, get my nails done, the DC need to be taken to a couple of things pre holiday, cook a curry to use up the random bits in the fridge, clean out said fridge. Best get a move on!

ememem84 · 03/08/2017 08:08

life ong that lady! Yes. I'm almost quoting her letter to the local paper verbatim when I say" I don't want to go out and have a coffee and see women breastfeeding. There's no place for that outside the home. And what's with all the prams? Why so many. You can't walk down the street for seeing a pram with a child stuffing their faces"

Woman is entitled to her opinion. And if I'm honest I don't particularly like it when people go all gung-ho boobs out everywhere on public breastfeeding. No problem with people doing it but I was out the other day and saw a topkess woman feeding baby. No cover nothing. And she was having a go at people for "looking".

What I disagree with is the comments on Facebook about posting old nappies through said lady's letterbox or all parking prams outside her house or staging a boobs out breastfeeding sit in outside her window. Sadly the lady agreed for her full name and address to be published....

ChristmasSeacow · 03/08/2017 08:12

Hi Need we've tried a dummy but DD spits it out Hmm. I think it would really help her to let go and sleep but.... no. She is pretty stubborn.

Sounds as though you are going to be very hot on holiday. The heatwave across mainland Europe is pretty dramatic - 47C in Córdoba is forecast today Shock

ememem84 · 03/08/2017 08:13

I've just had a moan to dh. And we've had a laugh at me. Essentially my moan is "I want to wear jeans what do up with a button and a zip and don't just pull on and I want to be able to roll over in bed without having to do a three point manoeuvre" and if that's the worst thing I've got to moan about I'm doing ok! Smile

northender · 03/08/2017 08:18

need I work 3 days a week and wouldn't entertain increasing that yet unless I had to financially. The dc need more support as they get older I think, but in different ways. Time away on holiday will be a good chance. To mull it over. As seacow said, as it is your business, that gives you more flexibility and control over what you do I imagine. Great news about the business performance too.
wreck hope you feel better soon, glad you could rearrange your spa day.
mammy well done on the weight loss.
Em hang in there, not long to go now.
fluffy and lonely reading about your matched betting is spurring me on to have a go. Ds is only 15 but really interested in sports betting, so much so that he's been looking at jobs as sports betting analyst. It's the first time we've found a job/career idea which really enthuses him and as it requires maths A level or degree, Dh and I are enthusiastic Grin nothing like a bit of motivation!
I'm on the app so can't read back, apologies to those I've missed.

Pil have now gone home so we have the house back to ourselves. They had a great time but at the same time manage to be so incredibly negative and moany about everything. Managed not to spend too much more than usual on food as they bought us all takeaway on Their last night.
Our holiday is now 9 days away, I've done a freezer audit & there is plenty to feed us until the holiday and afterwards. We will just need to buy fruit, veg and dairy.
Today I've got a PT session at 9, then a meeting with my cousin about our private practice, then am calling in on my mum who hasn't been well. I'm taking dd with me & might treat her to an ice cream as my cousin lives near a fantastic ice cream farm.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/08/2017 08:35

I know em, some people took it too far. Ikwym about people going too far the other way. I'm pro bf but a woman yesterday just made me cringe.

I'm trying need for 4 times a week 2 weight 2 cardio. Not always succeeding.

Totally understand wreck.

Our holiday is a week Friday and I'm soooo disorganised. Time for more lists

100yearsdotcom · 03/08/2017 08:41

Just to answer em yeah apparently if you ebf you can end up without a period for months, have heard of people going a year before it returns, even with weaning as long as you feed on demand from the boob alongside. However, if this occurs for you, don't get caught out by thinking it means you're not ovulating as you can still get pregnant!

needastrongone · 03/08/2017 09:28

How did I miss that Europe was having a heatwave?Confused

needastrongone · 03/08/2017 09:31

I totally get the comment about being 'moany' north, it can really drag a person down. It affects your own mood after a time. The career path for your DS sounds brill.Smile

LonelyOversharer · 03/08/2017 09:45

em I send you Flowers as you are going to get a lot bigger yet! And you might have another 10 weeks to grow yet, if they let you go 2 weeks over (they do here if you have a "boring and uneventful" pregnancy who are they kidding, it's magic ) You grow the most in the last few weeks. Buttons will be a memory! As will rings and shoes if your body decides to swell, most do!

But you will have baby boy at the end of it, and your body will fix itself in time. And you are doing brilliantly, btw.

I know I live in the no-one bf north, but I've never seen tits out feeding, I was a furtive up-the-jumper feeder. I've served customers in the shop and been feeding ds at the time (when he was tiny, not 2, that was at night only), I know they never noticed. So glad I've not been on fb this week. Too many sunny holiday pics, makes me feel guilty for not taking my dc away, so am avoiding it for now!

Am putting off getting on with today. Another coffee first.

100 yes, my truly amazing dd3 is proof of that! It honestly didn't cross my mind, but she was clearly meant to be.

100yearsdotcom · 03/08/2017 09:47

Aww fluffy yay on the return but sad that you weren't able to say anything x

meadow yeah pretty grim although not as bad near the end. Hope your anxiety starts to recede soon. I also think of the drug! Grin

Cagliostro · 03/08/2017 10:16

Aw wreck I'm so glad they let you postpone, sorry you feel crap though. Perhaps you could create your own steam room in the bathroom!

Need you are not being a T :o (that's TWAT for whoever was asking - sorry fluffy I said it!). Agree that given that it's your company nothing is permanent but it's still a big decision! Exciting stuff though! And great news about the company performance though.

Awww em I love armadillos :o

Fab weight loss mammy Star

I think of the drug too meadow :o thank you for the kind words re: anxiety, I know you understand Thanks take it as easy as you can while going through all these big changes.

Was hoping for NSD today but I just had a phone call from antenatal and they have finally had a load of the glucose drink delivered so I can get my blood test done soon. So I have to go and collect that and I will renew the bus passes too. But need to go this morning as we are looking after a neighbour in the afternoon. Blah.

100yearsdotcom · 03/08/2017 10:16

lonely ❤ so sweet! I'm more of a 'furtive' breastfeed - that has made me laugh for some reason! I support the right to bf absolutely bit personally do not want my baps out on show to all and sundry!

seacow FlowersCake you deserve all the chocolate x

Cagliostro · 03/08/2017 10:24

Hope today is better seacow Thanks

£25 Amazon, finally ordered the laptop charger and got a great deal on a K'nex education set thanks to the bargain thread! DS particularly loves it, not sure whether to leave it for Christmas or do physics stuff with it earlier.

Cagliostro · 03/08/2017 10:31

I'm sort of in the middle with BF. I am happy to feed anywhere and this time round I have decided I'm not going to use any 'feeding rooms' - they were pretty awful last time (either IN or right next to the baby change ie nappy bins galore ugh). Also a horrible experience once in the one in the mall where a load of teens tried to bang down the door while we were in there. Obviously they were planning to use the room to get pissed or possibly worse Hmm it was horrible feeling stuck in there until they gave up.

It's different this time though as with DS I had toddler DD to keep contained safely and sitting on a park bench or whatever wasn't safe. This time the Caglets are old enough to play safely/kill time in a toy shop or whatever.

But I'm as subtle as possible basically because I don't want anyone seeing my boobs :o doesn't bother me seeing others at all, I just prefer to be well covered myself. The maternity clothes I get will mostly be designed for nursing too, other than that just loose tops I can lift up.

Laska5772 · 03/08/2017 10:37

Need I think that the decision will be more about how you feel about being not daily involved in the business which is just as much your baby as DHs.
My leaving work is easier because i am an employee.

However what I have been going through is the sort of the same . its how you think you might feel if you do give up, and whether the other things to will do make up for not working.. . Also in your case as its your business you are also giving up being 'half the boss' , so it may be that the work you do is still more than 'just a job'.. Of course you wont know these things until you give it a try.

Then theres the money side ,.. You'd need to know that you will have your 'own' money to spend as well as family money , (but it sounds like your DH is on board with that).

So yes, how about thinking of it as taking a sabbatical.. Try it for a year or at least until your DS goes to uni ..You at least can always go back or dip in and out as its your own company..
.
I do know when I go that is going to be it I wont be able to go back .. and also being older i am very unlikely to be able to work again in the field id be leaving..or anything else probably than shop work - unless I was to set my self up as a consultant ( which I dont think actually want to do or id have the confidence for!!).

But I am counting down . 19 weeks to go!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/08/2017 12:24

£2 milk. Skate park this afternoon under £10

Wheelycote · 03/08/2017 13:25

Lost my place! I'm rubbish at this not spending lark

Forgot to cancel subscription for hello fresh delivery....not had deliveries for s while but didn't press the 'end subscription' button😬

64.00 delivery box..,but they missed out the mince meat. I've rang them and they've refunded me 10.00. Small win.

100yearsdotcom · 03/08/2017 14:59

laska that's so exciting to be on your countdown now!

I'm mentally running round the room with my hands in the air whilst DD is feeding/napping! I've only gone and won the mumsnet/Ace competition! I literally never win anything ever so this is totally amazing! GrinShockGrin

ChristmasSeacow · 03/08/2017 15:22

What's Ace, 100 ? Glad you are pleased anyway.

Laska 19 weeks will go in a flash. It's only half a pregnancy!

Much better day today, I hardly dare say it as there's still 4 hrs till DH gets home from work so a lot could still go wrong! Grin. But my sister is hopefully coming to visit tomorrow, it would be great if she could. Next week either my mum or DH is with me on the days DS isn't in nursery as it is Pants Week, i.e. We will be ditching (daytime) nappies. Eeek!

Cag I PMd you about baby clothes, hope you don't mind.

Wheelycote · 03/08/2017 15:42

100 That's great!!! What have you won?

SnugglySnerd · 03/08/2017 15:46

Em I'd love to still be wearing maternity jeans. So much more comfy!

OP posts:
100yearsdotcom · 03/08/2017 15:51

Ace is cleaning products seacow and I think I've won a hamper of their products wheely but more importantly a £100 Treatwell voucher!!! Grin I'm over the moon as it's such a long time since I was able to treat myself to a massage and now I can afford a few! Grin

Glad you've got help next week seacow and good luck with the pants week!

100yearsdotcom · 03/08/2017 15:54

snuggly I may be wearing maternity jeans and leggings still despite having lost weight and them threatening to fall down more than once 😂 they are just so comfy! And I am not exactly the last great bastion of fashion!

Cagliostro · 03/08/2017 16:50

Yay 100 how fab!
