Em I hope you're ok Sad. You're DH was really not on with that at all! I'm not surprised you're angry, I would be fuming. I don't think DH has ever actually shouted at me before (yet?? lol). We don't really ever argue just sort of bicker about stupid things sometimes. Anyway your DH deffo needs to apologise cos that's not on.

Today it's gorgeous here.

NSD. I actually went to work for an hour and a half so made some money instead of spending it. I asked my manager if he's ok to be a reference for me when I start applying for jobs soon and he said yes and that'd he right lots of nice things about me Grin. So that made me smile. (I'm such a goody-two-shoes loool.)

One of DH's colleagues was assaulted yesterday at work. Luckily he is fine but he was punched in the head and blacked out so they had to check his brain and things. It wouldn't have happened if they weren't so understaffed as he radio'd for help earlier but they were all busy on jobs so he had to radio again and by the time someone managed to get there he was being hit. A bit scary because next time it could be DH :/ It is actually dangerous working in healthcare at the moment mainly because of dangerously low staffing levels.

Laska I love your stories about building things with the duplo and that. I'm not very creative because of Asperger's but I love seeing the amazing things the kids where I volunteer make with the big blocks they have there. A lovely little boy made a huge mansion type thing last time and was showing me the garage, the swimming pool, the big bed, everything haha what a lovely imagination.

ememem84 · 25/05/2017 13:28

Bought a new dress and a top today. Dress is a size bigger than my normal one and fits nicely so I'll wear that to the wedding at the weekend. £40 in newlook.

Local dept store has a 20% off brands. Had a look at sunglasses. Decided against a pair of Chanel ones (even with 20% off they were still £240).

No contact yet from dh. I'm going to walk home. It's a lovely day and if I walk I don't then have to find the car and be accused of hiding it (yesterday because he'd forgotten where it was parked despite texting me in the morning to tell me) or scratching it and also don't have to speak to him.

Am still fuming. But am sure it'll all work out. This morning I was tempted to accuse him of doing something he hadn't. Just to see how he likes it. But that would just prolong the argument. All I want is an apology.

Anyway. Lunch over. Back to work for me.

Laska5772 · 25/05/2017 13:44

Coppersulphate · 25/05/2017 13:49

Oh Em, sorry about DH being twatish. I know there is no excuse but most of the time he is good.
How is your DH Wreck? I think this DH twatishness may be catching.
Bloody hot here. 26 degrees.
Had to get some more compost (£10) and some screw in thingys to hold wisteria up.
And £1 for cup of tea with friends.

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/05/2017 14:18

Currently sat Mnetting as waiting for my toe nails to dry (first paint of the year)

Spends:
£62 debenhams on a handbag, t shirt for DPs birthday and a top for me (£25 gift voucher)
£25 H&M on belt, shorts for DD2, two tops and one was mango-tango coloured Grin (£20 gift voucher)
£26 in John Lewis on two things for DPsrents for their big anniversary (£20 gift voucher)
£4.50 Boots reduced Disney hairbrush for DD and reduced Essie nail varnish (paid with Boots points)
£5 in M&s on nice salad for lunch and chicken for dinner (£1.30 gift voucher)

So I spent a lot, but used a lot of gift vouchers (mainly from online surveys)

I really shouldn't go in department stores, they are such a weakness of mine! Saw some tumbler glasses in JL which I want to save up for with survey credits

ememem84 · 25/05/2017 15:03

And we have an apology!! And a Danish pastry delivered to work. 😀

And our offer was accepted on the other house subject to sale of our place. And dh used his angry energy to really rattle our estate agents cage. So hopefully things are going to move forwards.

And I've filled in forms to change my dr.

and done a bit of work

Have spent some time this afternoon frigging around with a spreadsheet. Ick. And also reviewing accounts. Double ick.

WreckTangled · 25/05/2017 15:56

Ffs em what's with all the dickhead husbands right now? Pleased he's apologised and the offer was accepted!

Just had the childminder bill £534 😭😭😭

£4 something in Iceland warehouse on strawberries, tomatoes and some graze boxes.

Dh never apologised but I got fed up of the tensions so just started acting normally again 🙄

Coppersulphate · 25/05/2017 16:26

Had to come in from gardening as it's too hot. I hate the heat....well I hate it until it's either raining or cold.

mammymammyIRL · 25/05/2017 16:31

Ah wreck that's a pity
Great that yours apologised em
I'm holding out still for dh to figure out he was wrong HmmAngry

Annoying husbands... don't worry em, taking you off the insurance would be an own goal for him. When I moved in with DH I bought a car but refused to add him to the insurance until he'd gone for an eye test (he was in denial about needing glasses and I wanted to force the issue). Anyway, he held out for a few months and in that time I had to do all of the driving and thus none of the turn at drinking if we were out for lunch or whatever. But he still cracked before I did Wink. Glad you get your apology.

More clicky-click spends on stuff for baby and DS. And after the party gift advice from you all I got a decorate-own-mirror and a cool Lego batman figure that lights up (I noticed it was a heroes party with batman on the invitation so hope that is an interest). Got Lego for family friend after all the Lego love too! Thanks all.

Also bought wall decals for both kids' rooms (DS's are babyish and long overdue a change so I got planets for him) and some really lovely mismatched ceramic drawer knobs for baby's new drawers. The room is quite bare and I thought different coloured knobs on the white painted furniture would look sweet and lift it a bit.

Other than that, just parking for SN play group £3. Odd to think that our time of going there will soon be over, the ladies from the borough who run it have been so supportive. Must think of a lovely gift for them too!

Boy it's hot and not much let up at night either!

ememem84 · 25/05/2017 17:58

He's also just called me and suggested that we go to the beach for dinner. Chippy tea!!!! Yay!!!! On the beach!!!! I'm having nuggets and chips!!!! Yay!!!!!!!

It must be the season for asshat dh's/dp's. Someone at work was also having issues with hers. Though hers sounded waaaaaay more serious than mine.

LonelyOversharer · 25/05/2017 18:33

I came home to a newborn chicky! It is VERY noisy, and still sat on my lap! Not sure where to put it really! Our mummy hen in the garden has 3 week old chicks, and the other viable on in the incubator isn't due fir 3 days.

Went to sainsburys. My mum got ds lego cards, so now he's obsessed. It did make him behave though! £70. Phew. New jammies, t shirts, shorts, sunhat for ds, a bra for me, and jammies for dd2. We got sandwiches for tea, so hot up here. Boiled all the way home, as my little cat has no ac! It doesn't usually matter!!

CremeEggThief · 25/05/2017 18:39

£4, on a g&t, as I had 40 minutes between buses, it's a sunny day and it's been tough. It's my go-to drink if I'm only having the one.Gin

Laska5772 · 25/05/2017 18:52

£34 diesel .. £118 in Sainburys! Shock..and thats not going to be it foodwise for the weekend either ..

Its DHs family coming all weekend ,so im going to make him give me the money!! But quite a lot of that bill was beer (for BIL, we never drink it) and wine (which we all do!!) ..

Though that did mean lots of Lego cards! I send a package of cards off to DGS yesterday and got a lovely excited phone call from him about getting a letter from me just now. Aaaah... Smile..

I now have to rush round tidying up this room which i usually use as 'mine' and is a bit messy.. and makin up bed for DMIL..oh and clean bathroom..

Exciting laundry news! i woke up early and put my big velvet bed cover in machine and then put in conservatory , and its dry!!

Oh heck fluffy will we have to breed with them?

Lonely geogeous chicky!! I dont know much about chicken chicks.(or any really) . how will it be fed? what does it eat?

LonelyOversharer · 25/05/2017 19:02

Have given the chick to mummy hen. She just ushered it under her, so fostered off! They eat chick crumbs, like hen food but smaller, plus any tit bits that happen along. Mummy hen will show it what to do!

Just picked from my greenhouse!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/05/2017 19:07

That baby chicks so cute 💗

daisydoosoph · 25/05/2017 19:07

Please, please, please can I join? I'm so annoyed at myself, since Christmas I've paid off around £800 on my credit card and around £300 on my next account and was so pleased I was doing well. This week I opened a Dorothy Perkins account and spent £260 on clothes for myself. I'm so disappointed in myself, why do I keep on adding to this debt? I can't even send it back because I've taken the tags off. Any advice?

AdoraBell · 25/05/2017 19:16

Everyone is welcome here Daisy , can you send any of the new clothes back? And well done on paying towards those debts 👍

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/05/2017 19:25

I'd take them back on a busy Saturday afternoon when the queues are long & they don't want any hassle.

Welcome Daisy, what triggered the spending?.

daisydoosoph · 25/05/2017 19:33

@AdoraBell I'm not sure, I think it's because I very rarely treat myself and I was desperate for some new summer clothes. I've no problem with charity shops or primark but I'm overweight and struggle to find things in my size Blush

ememem84 · 25/05/2017 19:38

Hi daisy!!

lonely ooohhh cuuuuutttteeeee

We've had chippy tea on the beach. It was glorious. This may out me as I've just posted it on Instagram. But....tada!!!!

Nugget on the beach!!!!

lonely don't show your little chickadee...

SnugglySnerd · 25/05/2017 19:40

Welcome, Daisy.

Love the chick and also Laska's sunglasses. I never find anything good on TK Maxx.

Really annoyed we were running low on formula so I walked round to the local convenience shop to get some and it was nearly 2 quid more than the supermarket. Double annoying because online shop is coming tomorrow with some.

daisydoosoph · 25/05/2017 19:45

Could just eat some chicken nuggets!
Love the sunglasses & a great price too! I used to work at tk max and I've not been back since I left, my local one is rubbish. I do like the home bits though.
Thank you everyone for making me feel so welcome x
