You guys have been busy while I was out running. I literally sat into the car when the heavens opened so feeling lucky Smile
Going home now to either loads of apologising or more cold shoulder treatment. Honestly if he was a friend & not my dh I'd have dropped him long ago, plus he had loads of jobs for us to do yesterday so I feel like I had no Saturday at all, luckily I watched a movie with dc on fri night Smile
Was meant to be going to a bongo drums & Zumba session on beach this afternoon, that may or may not happen now.

Well done on overdrafts cag & lonely

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/05/2017 10:24

You can tell when a mans on the back foot because they get over-confident.

Love that fluffy :o

ememem84 · 21/05/2017 10:39

fluffy I love that.

Catface is up on the bed with me. 😻 But it's game over if I move. Guess I'm here for the day then!

Cagliostro · 21/05/2017 10:52

Oh shame em :o catface needs cuddles, you must oblige :) sorry DH has been a dick.

Right, outstanding Beavers subs paid (DS doesn't even DO Beavers anymore! Blush), ballet term paid, tap school emailed to check what needs paying. TBH the caglets' clubs are our biggest non-essential outgoing by far! But I'm happy with it, the difference this stuff makes to their wellbeing (especially since they aren't in school) is massive and worth every penny IMHO.

Holiday doesn't need paying in full for a couple of weeks - it wouldn't let me change the amount I paid when I booked, it just took the deposit. But I'll phone and pay tomorrow as I'll forget otherwise. So excited. Friend is lending us a rock hammer to help find fossils! Need to check out train fares still.

ememem84 · 21/05/2017 11:00

cag I'd oblige if she'd let me. She's a bit skittish at the moment. I had to get up for a wee and she shot under the wardrobe.

Dh has sort of apologised. But not really it started out well then turned into "but you need to understand that I can't sleep if you're kicking me..."

I've suggested that he should sleep in the spare room until baby is here. That way he'll be nice and rested and my night time toilet trips won't disturb him.

WreckTangled · 21/05/2017 11:05

Oh em what a dick.

Cag it's £10. We've decided not to go because the dc are happy playing in the garden.

I've seen a lovey shared ownership house I want. £80k for 25%. Probs don't earn enough. Meh. Have emailed them anyway. Would need to pay our loan off.

ChristmasSeacow · 21/05/2017 11:13

You've all been chatty this morning - and lots of people running! Putting me to shame.

Welcome Wrong

Cag I'm not sure when you're going but I've just remembered that when we were in Lyme Regis last September the museum was closed for building work. I have just checked and it opens again in July. Is that too late for you ? Sad there's still loads to do, but i was a bit sad to miss that myself. And have you read the Tracey Chevalier book 'Remarkable Creatures'? It's about Mary Anning and Lyme Regis, a very easy and excellent read.

I was up till 2am working on DS's EHCP document. I'll be hard at it today too, it is such a mess that it needs loads of work. Another late night (probably even later!) in store. I am a bit knackered as I am not sleeping well at all - I can't lie down as the reflux is terrible, I've been sick in the night a few times, so I have to sit propped up to sleep, which isn't exactly conducive. Grrr. I think it's tired times from now on!

For funs I will be touching up the skirting in the baby's room - I don't think the paint had time to cure properly before the carpet fitter came so it needs a touch of work. DH is taking DS out from under my feet for a couple of hours so I can crack on with everything.

Please keep chatting to provide me with some light relief!

Cagliostro · 21/05/2017 11:23

Oh no seacow thank you for the heads up, we are there July 10-14 as that's when DH had the week off. I'll check.

Cagliostro · 21/05/2017 11:25

Also I will look up that book for reading thank you. Can't read at the moment, it makes my nausea much worse Confused :( I have a paperback and a kindle book stuck halfway that I can't face reading at the moment!

ChristmasSeacow · 21/05/2017 12:10

Audio books?

Cagliostro · 21/05/2017 12:20

Might be worth a try! I've struggled in the past to concentrate (my auditory processing is a bit shit) but it's a good idea thank you! If DD will let me have a few minutes to myself that is. She has regressed hugely and hasn't been sleeping until midnight or later since we came back from holiday :( very clingy and stressed

LonelyOversharer · 21/05/2017 12:23

All my plans have disintegrated into sorting laundry, washing up, and drinking coffee! Plus a whiny/teary, then screamy boy required waffles, so made a batch. They took too long apparently. The dds got them with choc syrup, m and m's and marshmallows on though, so they were happy at least!

We are off swimming in a bit, so that we do something definate today. Just got the pork to put in the slow cooker first or there will be no tea.

Am sad for poor catface em she'll come round quickly I hope. Your dh might be in for a bit of a shock when ds arrives! Some babies will just not sleep in cribs/sleep at night/sleep at all! Luckily we are pre programmed to adore our offspring so much that we'll put up with anything. You might get the illusive baby who feeds and sleeps like a dream. I had one out of 4! And now she's hormonal and keeps bursting into tears for no reason!

ememem84 · 21/05/2017 12:23

Catface just crawled into my lap. 😻 She's forgiven me (still hissing at dh) he's gone off to the gym because I told him to get out as he was annoying me. Kept trying to compete at tiredness levels. I'm winning

Ive tried twice to submit my gp invoice to my medical insurance but so far no luck so will try again tomorrow when I'm at work. Have also asked how I go about claiming my "baby bonus" so will see what sort of info they need. A couple of people at work are miffed because they've had kids and didn't claim and now can't retrospectively. To be fair I wouldn't have done it as didn't know about it until Thursday. When we got the policy docs from work I didn't bother reading the preg bit as it wasn't on the cards at the time. Just a distant future wish.

Am also going to make a quiche for lunches next week. So must have a go at pastry.

LonelyOversharer · 21/05/2017 12:27

Oh cag your poor dd. Why can't people just be bloody nice ?? 'spirited' bossy bullies. Just pull your kids up on it, and teach them how to behave ffs. I take it the distance between you and these people is widening rapidly. Hugs to your little girl Flowers

ememem84 · 21/05/2017 13:35

Dh has apologised. Apology took the form of "I'm sorry for being a twat bastard I bought you these" then presented me with a chicken pot noodle. And a peanut butter magnum.

He bought catface a new mousie and more dreamies.

Cagliostro · 21/05/2017 13:50

Thanks Lonely Thanks that's exactly what DD says. She just doesn't understand why some people are mean! Yep although there's the odd thing that we will see them at, we are not going to arrange anything with them anymore. Too busy, what a shame. Wink

Oooh em peanut butter magnums are the best! Glad he has seen the error of his ways.

Sooooo I'm a twat. :o I just realised I photocopied/scanned the WRONG bit of my PIP award! I did the front few pages of the main letter, but I should've copied the two page 'statement of entitlement'. Duuuuh. Blush Will do that at the library next week, after getting a list together of how many copies I need for various things. Also need to get a passport photo for bus pass and stuff. Must. Get. Organised.

WreckTangled · 21/05/2017 15:47

Dh and I are in a really bad patch right now. Not quite sure what to do. I feel too annoyed with him to even want to try and work through it. He's just a bloody child.

Anyway. Lovely sunny day here the dc have been playing outside. I made them a banana milkshake using frozen banana (which I had from over ripe bananas ages ago), milk and honey, they seemed to like it. Haven't spent any money apart from the spinning. Cottage pie for dinner using 250g of minced beef bulked out with veg and lentils Smile

em I'm pleased Dh apologised, why is his sleep more important Hmm

ememem84 · 21/05/2017 16:10

Ah wreck one of the reasons was that he needs a decent nights sleep to feel "normal"

Not sure why he's the only one who needs this. He's obviously a medical miracle Hmm

We're currently on the beach. I purposely sat us near a family with a young baby. He keeps commenting on how much stuff they have. I keep saying "yep - get used to the idea"

I think he's blocked out the baby years and has mentally imagined baby boy to be a toddler so he can play football etc with him.

I am as uncomfy as anything on the beach. Have just ordered myself a beach chair. Yay.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/05/2017 16:31

Deffo need a c section if you're birthing a toddler who can pull his own trunkie.

£2 multi Vit & min
45p Bourbon biscuits.

wreck FlowersCake it's bloody awful when you hit these points. Be kind to yourself, and time will sort things out, one way or another.

fluffy you do make me laugh! em your dh does know he'll have to wait about 2 years for the football thing doesn't he? And then they don't kick it back until they're about 4!

Been swimming. A sucess. Ds is kicking independently with armbands and noodle now. Dd3 is still just about not drowning, but seems happy about it!

Mummysh0rtlegs · 21/05/2017 16:41

Baby bit is far easier than toddler bit in lots of ways :) it's all a journey. My boys slept through from 8 weeks (12 hours) but then were walking well under 1, swings and roundabouts.

Spent loads last night, £80 on dinner with friends, £30 on cocktails, £20 on taxis, £150 on new clothes for me and Dh... We go out very rarely and we had a nice time, and the clothes will get worn for years to come, but...

Loveabaconsandwich · 21/05/2017 16:43

So warm here today. DC have been running riot in the garden and we have been mowing the lawn and weeding. Going to have dinner in the garden for the first time this year

NSD though as we haven't left the house/garden Halo

Sorry to those with DHs being hard work/manchilds Flowers

cag could you pay an extra £10 or £20 towards the cc? The debt would then be gone sooner. I'm sure the month where you don't have to pay off £100 anymore off the debt is going to be an amazing feeling.

Cagliostro · 21/05/2017 17:02

That seems a good compromise love it would be great to do it that little bit faster! Basically given the length of the 0% we can do it in the exact number of months +2, so would need a couple of bigger payments anyway, but the more the better I reckon as even though it's not being added to with interest, 33 months is still aaaaages. Cagletini will be a toddler by the time we clear it. Shock

DH did set up a DD straight away at £100, as that's what he was paying anyway, but he's agreed we could even put what we're saving on electric (new amount vs. projected increase with previous provider - the reason we finally got around to switching - is about £30) because we won't miss it. I'm not sure how easy it'll be to just pay off random bits and pieces (it was easy with old CC because it was NatWest like the current account). I quite fancy the idea of thinking ooh I've saved £XX on such and such, let's just shove that difference straight on the bill.

I also have a measly £400 in my ISA, I'm not sure whether to add some of the lump sum to it, or not bother, or just take it out while we get all the baby stuff, or... decisions decisions!

Not had any luck with cheap train fares yet, looking like £130 no matter where I buy them. Even splitting tickets seems to save less than a quid. :o

Wreck sorry DH is being a dick also. x

SunnyLikeThursday · 21/05/2017 17:16

We've had another good sort of day. Went to a different church again but one where we have a second cousin, so that was nice. They came to our house for lunch and we had a good afternoon too.

Sorry to hear about the diplomatic troubles Wreck. I hope it comes right soon for you.
