Tell me I am correct!

Cagliostro · 15/05/2017 20:36

Ooh xpost Laska they look fun!

Catface will make a lovely fluffy big sister :) :)

Laska5772 · 15/05/2017 20:40

cag no not looking , your mention was just memory lane for me.. I just had to rush to the dresser to see if we still had them! and we do!! ...shows how long its been since ive been in that drawer {blush] The boat one isnt too bad, but am going to have another go at Triple Cross ,, I dont remember ever actually finishing that one.. its fiendish!

ememem84 · 15/05/2017 20:40

laksa haha how did you guess!

Technically I am a lady... I mean dh ages ago bought me a sq ft of land in Scotland. So I can call myself Lady Emily if I want to as the land affords me a title. But I don't want to appear pretentious. So just slum it with the real people. Keeping it real and all that! Haha!

Catface is being a dick now. We're watching natures mini creatures or something. And she's just jumped in front of the tv and is trying to catch all the bugs on the tv. She's absolutely fascinated.

Laska5772 · 15/05/2017 20:44

I once had (very stupid) a cat who loved the horse racing , and would either sit on the top of the TV and try and catch them with his paw or go round the back to see where they went!

Coppersulphate · 15/05/2017 20:47

I have just been on the puzzle website and they all look good. Any recommendations for a nerdy 8 year old girl who loves reading?

SnugglySnerd · 15/05/2017 20:51

Em my cat isn't very keen on his human siblings! The vet suggested that DH bought home something each baby had worn so he could get used to their scent before they came home from hospital. Some people play recordings of babies crying to get their cats used to the sound.

Just went out for petrol and a quick top up shop but saw a top that went with it! Frugal fail.

Cagliostro · 15/05/2017 20:56

Ooh what channel is that on Em? (although I just realised I have no idea if you have the same channels as us Blush)
There's a dinosaur documentary on tonight but we're going to catch it on iplayer tomorrow. Caglets love nature stuff too though

ememem84 · 15/05/2017 21:00

I think it's on BBC two cag we have the same channels as you 😉 we used also have french tv but we paid extra for that. My parents still have it so it's nice sometimes to watch french soaps.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/05/2017 21:15

YouTube has cat videos, usually birds or mice but cats love them.

Forgot spends.

£20 petrol
£33 contact lenses.
£1.50 green and blacks mint choc. Will get 75p back off tcb.
£80 two weeks shopping incl cat food. Will need eggs, & a lettuce next week. Not paying their prices for eggs.

copper we pay 6 monthly because the DD they want is nearly double what we use. I still think either somethings gone wrong or the CEO wants a new yacht.

Has anyone been reading the how much do you spend on your holiday thread? Not jealous (much!) Envy

Loveabaconsandwich · 15/05/2017 21:32

Ooooh fluffy I've never tried green and blacks chocolate... yet. There's also a free sandwich offer for today on TCB, sadly I bought a jacket potato for lunch

Mummysh0rtlegs · 15/05/2017 21:51

£20 in decathlon - sports socks and three rucksack, I go to the gym 4+ times a week and need socks, they do them in good small sizes.

£15 in Ikea - potty, one of those sock hangers and three lots of food bags.

Hoping to only spend on shopping and petrol until DH pay day.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/05/2017 21:51

I haven't got the sandwich offer!. Try the milk & almond. It's the best.

I got up at 5:30 to do the shred and they've taken it off of YouTube! Will have to prime it Angry

ememem84 · 16/05/2017 07:49

Ok. So probably won't have any exciting announcements today.

Food shop today. My turn. Challenge is to get it under £55.

Also need to reclaim catfaces eye drops and vet appointment on her insurance. And send back a pair of wedges. That may be tomorrow's job though.

Lunchtime today I need to go to m&s and buy fruit. and have to pop into boots to get a new battery for my scales.

My bathroom reeks of vinegar now. I've got two horseshoes soaking in a bucket of the stuff. Pinterest told me that it'd get rust off. It apparently does. But man. The smell.

MeadowHay · 16/05/2017 07:59

Em DH sometimes uses white vinegar to clean things with, it works and is cheap but then everywhere stinks after!

Up early today which is rare for me. Exam at half nine Shock. Pretty nervous but coping. DH made sure to get me up out of bed before he left for work this morning so I've been up since 7.15am and I don't really need to leave the house til after 9am...waiting for the exam is grim for your nerves. Wish me luck!

Frugal-wise, today should be an NSD as just going to my exam and then back home.

ememem84 · 16/05/2017 08:09

Good luck meadow

Must also buy wonton wrappers today from the Asian shop. I'm making fried wontons at the weekend with Singapore noodle. It could end in disaster. But we'll see how it goes! Haha!

In other news the buyers for our flat pulled out. Bah. So we're back to square one. Although our mortgage has been approved.

Viewing tomorrow at 1230 and am open viewing on Saturday. So hopefully we'll have another buyer by this time next week.

ememem84 · 16/05/2017 08:13

Oh. And it's meant to be 22 degrees here today and sunny. I'm bare legging it to work. No more tights! Eeek.

My legs are super pale though so hope I don't scare anyone!! 👻👻

Cagliostro · 16/05/2017 08:21

Good luck meadow!
Em sorry about the buyers, so frustrating :(

Got a ridiculously expensive shop arriving shortly - about £125ish. Tried to be thorough so we don't end up topping up, and we've run out of some stuff. But yikes.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/05/2017 08:43

It's boiling here too. I've to go to the school for the whole morning, and I don't know whether to go in shorts or not. Smile

Good luck Meadow. I remember that feeling.

Loveabaconsandwich · 16/05/2017 08:51

Good luck meadow

DD2 just had a proper lying on the floor, flinging shoes off tantrum on the school run. Blush Feeling rather mortified and had to man handle her home Blush

Now recovering with Brew and getting up the courage to take her to the supermarket

WreckTangled · 16/05/2017 08:52

I'm bare legging it too.

Dd still has fever so off school. Took her to my step mums then my little sisters bus didn't come so took her to school (both opposite directions to work!). £30 fuel. I still feel sick and pretty fed up. Felt awful yesterday. Am just not going to eat anything.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/05/2017 09:09

Sorry to hear you're under the weather Wreck. I have a bit of a temperature this morning too, which is a nuisance as I'm meant to go and sit in the school with a bunch of other parents listening to a talk for two hours. I'd much rather be home sorting myself out.

Cagliostro · 16/05/2017 09:10

Ah love these things happen! I think for the most part anyone who looks on when that sort of thing is purely thinking "thank goodness it's not my kid this time" :o

Hope you and DD feel better soon wreck

Had to cancel a lesson this morning just still feeling worn out and ill and coughing everywhere. Ugh. Don't feel it warrants the antibiotics though as I don't think it's an infection. Midwife later though yay :)
