Morning
£31 in Morrison's yesterday but £20 was cash back to pay the cleaner.
Sea, do what it takes to get you through.

Need WineFlowers whatever you need today.

LonelyOversharer · 05/05/2017 07:44

need I second life, today is a 'get through it' day. You'll be strong and hold it all together, but it's hard sometimes. I take it your poor dpony has an infection from the wound, or was there bony damage? Be kind to yourself today.

We popped out to vote (used to be next door but they sold the building) with ds quite late on, am glad we did. Wanted to make sure we were on the electoral roll for next month.

I spent a peaceful hour sorting out my big greenhouse last night. Very theraputic. Just wish my tomatoes would start growing. Clear blue sky here.

ememem84 · 05/05/2017 08:04

Take care of yourself today need

News from the estate agent yesterday which has put me in a bit of a sulk. Our sellers seller (if you see what I mean) said initially she was going into a rental. Now has changed her mind. And can't find anything she wants to buy. Grrr. Our completion of end of June is looking unlikely. Annoyingly our buyers have started the legal stuff and have given notice on their rental. So we have to pause the process. Eugh who said house buying was a piece of cake.

Gah.

Today is a cheese and ham croissant for breakfast sort of day. And a coffee. Fuck it if it sends me over my caffeine allowance. Coffee is necessary.

In other news I felt baby move a bit yesterday. Amazing stuff. It's not enough for dh to feel it yet. Just flutteryness. Sadly baby was hopping around when I was busy looking at spreadsheets and accounts at work. 😭😭😭😩😩😩 it's going to be an accountant like its father isn't it!!-

WreckTangled · 05/05/2017 08:07

Morning. Ds is still unwell so not going in today. He's very grumpy and feeling very sorry for himself. Had to go shopping this morning going to lidl. Going to try and make it cheap but also need shampoo and conditioner.

Bacon I would just put her to bed and keep returning her without engaging in conversation.

SnugglySnerd · 05/05/2017 08:47

Aww, exciting Em. I love watching the babies randomly waving their arms and legs about and thinking that is what they were doing inside me!

Thinking about you today, Need.

Just making soup. Had leftover bits of broccoli, celery, a leek and a potato plus some stilton so its a broccoli and stilton/leek and potato hybrid with celery. If it's horrible I haven't wasted anything as it was all odd bits that looked a bit sad anyway. Good frugal start to the day!

RavioliOnToast · 05/05/2017 09:56

I'm going to aim to have 3 no spend days a week. That's my target from next week. Also, I'm putting the difference between what I am going to get on MAT leave and what I get now away to pay for bunk beds etc for the two DDS. And my driving test. 😑😑 I'm having a proper shitty stressing about money day today. It's so crap. We have so many outgoings.

SunnyLikeThursday · 05/05/2017 10:19

Laska I know just what you mean about the difficulty of getting to know people. I have lived in lots of very different places and in some it is very easy to get to know people (usually places where everything is walking distance from the house) and in others it's really hard (usually places where we have to drive everywhere). It's great that you do your bit at the polling stations though. That is a great way to get out and get to know people's faces. Smile

Christmas I had that same pelvic pain very badly during pregnancy but I wore two of these bump bands that hold the pelvis tightly together and it made the pain go away entirely. They're well worth a go:

I'm hoping for a quiet day of recharging the batteries today. It's been all go all the time recently.

SunnyLikeThursday · 05/05/2017 11:50

Is anybody watching the election results? The conservatives seem to be gaining an awful lot of council seats. I'm hoping that's not a foreshadow of the general election to come. Jeepers.

WreckTangled · 05/05/2017 12:24

Eugh. Lidl hardly had any of the bits I wanted so ended up going to tesco as well. Spent about £90 all together. Humph.

SnugglySnerd · 05/05/2017 12:55

Yes I'm worried about that too, Sunny. We are waiting to find out who our mayor is here in the West Mids.

Ravioli it sounds like you have some sensible plans already to reduce your outgoings. Hopefully you'll notice things start to get better quickly.

My soup was ok. It needs something extra, not sure what. I might add a bit of salt to the rest.

WreckTangled · 05/05/2017 12:59

Snuggly I often add salt to mine once I've served up the dc's.

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/05/2017 13:07

Currently sat with all the windows of my car open on the driveway while DD2 snores away Grin

DD eventually went to sleep at 10.30pm, in our bed with us Confused . She did get moved in the middle of the night by DP who got fed up with the women in his life not sharing the bed! We tried putting her back into her own bed numerous times but she'd get up and scream, waking DD1 up too. Will not be repeating bed sharing tonight though. I think the terrible twos have hit. She did have a 1.5 hour nap at the childminders yesterday having not napped for the rest of the week. So now may be the time to limit the naps she does take.

£40 Tesco
£46 haircut
£61 for breakfast/ after school club

I managed a tiny negotiation yesterday about my working hours so I can finish earlier one day a week. Also my manager brought up working from home once every couple of weeks, which was a u-turn on a previous conversation. So a productive conversation for once Smile

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/05/2017 13:11

I think it was north who was doing the current account switch? I want to do it but don't have two DDs. If I set up two DDs, after just one payment comes out for the two DDs does that count?

WreckTangled · 05/05/2017 15:31

Good news if anyone remembers our damaged Lino. We are getting a cheque for £300 to cover the cost plus fitting.

SunnyLikeThursday · 05/05/2017 15:33

That's great wreck. Smile

I just went to school assembly to see ds blowing out birthday candles along with about 8 other people who also had a birthday this week. Arrived at the weekend now.

MeadowHay · 05/05/2017 16:36

Wreck Glad that finally got sorted and you got your money!

Today was an NSD although DH had to pay his bus fare on the way home from town. Went the hospital for my dermotology appointment for my acne. Got a new antibiotic to try now and have to go back in three months. Nurse was reluctant to prescribe the tretinoin because apparently it can often worsen mental health problems, and then I dropped the bombshell that DH and I are thinking about ttc soon Blush and it's really dangerous for foetuses. So I am absolutely crossing everything that this will finally clear up my skin after about a year of acne but I'm not holding my breath Sad. She said the NHS doesn't provide any treatment for my scarring either Sad. Sigh.

On the plus side afterwards we went and collected our new sunglasses. Grin

MeadowHay · 05/05/2017 16:36

Also election results are pretty grim. We didn't have any here though.

Cagliostro · 05/05/2017 17:30

Ah that's disappointing meadow about it putting a halt on baby plans!

Watching the election stuff on and off today like this ShockConfused

Spendy evening as DD is starting ballet. Sigh.

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/05/2017 18:04

Caroline Hirons blog is good for acne.

NSD.

So far I'm not doing well with matched betting. You need to do it exactly as they say, then it's free money.

I joined coral through tcb, so no free bets
My driving licence has expired so Betfair won't let me play.

So once I've renewed my licence I can start again. I have no passport so no 7 day renewal for me!.

I didn't want a holiday this year anyway I really did we haven't been away for 4 years

I hope you all coped today Need, I dread losing my cat, he's my little boy.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 05/05/2017 18:05

meadow i had some acne which cleared up with using the La Roche Duo cream, its quite pricey at about £15 for a small bottle but you only need a small amount and it completely sorted my skin out Shock might be worth trying.

Exciting that you felt the baby Em Smile I used to love feeling dd moving about, its a weird but nice feeling I thought.

Been a busy work day and am off to take dd to her Granddads for the wend in a mo as am working all wend.

Lsd £1.20 on sweets for dd and choc for me.

SnugglySnerd · 05/05/2017 18:29

NSD!

Good news about the lino, Wreck.

I keep thinking about Need and her DD. Hope you are all ok today Flowers
