Yep it'll be everywhere. The only time I've had nice hair and nails is when pregnant!

I love risotto.

Cagliostro · 24/04/2017 19:11

Mmmm risotto. Sweet potato chip butty sounds awesome too!

ChristmasSeacow · 24/04/2017 19:13

Yes Em, and then as it grows back you get weird short fringey bits round your hairline Confused.

I am enjoying my better nails.

Cross-posted earlier - glad the first day went well Wreck.

Paintings are definitely not wanky Need.

Blizzard Lonely? Shock

northender · 24/04/2017 19:55

The sweet potato chip butty sounds amazing, might have to try that. It would probably just be for me though as sweet potato isn't universally liked here.
Glad you survived your first day wreck, every credit given your jet lag.
lonely a blizzard?? It's blowing a gale here but sunny, I think we're a bit further south than you so no snow

allthebestplease · 24/04/2017 20:10

I went into town to give blood I'm B- so they always want me.
I didn't get job at dd school I applied for, very down about it. I'm not sure I want to work, but don't know if we can afford in the long term for me not to. But then I font want to get ill again at work. Anyway ill have a think.

ememem84 · 24/04/2017 20:10

Wow lonely crazy weather.

A friend of. Afriend just posted on fb the snow in Inverness. Insane.

Risotto was amazing. With a nice healthy leave spinach and tomato salad.

Now watching house of cards with dh.

Coppersulphate · 24/04/2017 20:14

Just got back from meeting. Very tired and stressed. And DGS needs open heart surgery in the next two months. Just been told. Really worried. DD and SiL in bits. They knew it had to be done but when you are actually faced with it and the paediatric cardiologist is spelling out the dangers it is scary.
Need, enjoy your paintings. Not a bit wanky. Your money is allocated. Enjoy.
Glad you had a good first day Wreck and that you like it. Aren't you still jet lagged?
Seacow, I think you are brilliant with DS. So glad you gave him the train. You sound a very calm person. I'm sure he'll be fine in the end. And don't beat yourself up about not sending him to preschool earlier. Hindsight is wonderful.
Snuggly. Hope you are ok. You are a star coping with 3 little ones. Put him/ her down and have your cup of tea.

Cagliostro · 24/04/2017 20:16

Don't worry about the hair falling out em it generally gets thicker during pregnancy anyway so you're basically losing the excess :o

And eeeek I hope you feel little flutters soon. Absolute magic. As need says it does get crazy towards the end. You can see the kicks and everything. Soooo weird but amazing! :)

Cagliostro · 24/04/2017 20:18

Oh gosh copper that's so scary :( poor DGS. Big hugs. Sounds like they are having good care though. Thanks

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/04/2017 20:25

Sorry to hear that copper Flowers

Jealous of your nice hair em. With DD2 I ended up with this weird greasy slick in my hair. I'd wash it with normal shampoo but whilst still washing it in the shower it still felt like a grease slick. Had to buy t gel to sort it. Very unglamorous.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/04/2017 20:29

I'm sorry all about the job FlowersCake. It's so hard when you get almost emotionally invested into jobs that you apply for that you really want, so you have my sympathy

CremeEggThief · 24/04/2017 20:36

Copper, that's tough.BrewCake. It will all be for the best, but it's hard to see that right now.

thewaitresses · 24/04/2017 20:47

We had risotto too! Got back into it recently, good to have with salad and adaptable for children/babies. My hair is a post-partum tragedy Sad!

Sorry about the job all. What was the job? I'd say if you really want to work in your dds school go for anything advertised - after school club, lunch time staff, volunteering, as a foot in the door.

Snuggly WineBrewCakeFlowersGin

thewaitresses · 24/04/2017 20:48

And copper...Flowers

SnugglySnerd · 24/04/2017 20:58

Sorry to hear that, Copper and sorry to hear about the job, All.

I'm trying to name change but it won't work on my phone. Will try on the laptop tomorrow if I can get 5 minutes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/04/2017 21:00

Still reading but lonely I'm the same shoe size as you and always get a 6.5 in asics.

SnugglySnerd · 24/04/2017 21:02

Thanks for all the encouragement btw.

Need that JO book is fantastic isn't it? The 7 veg pasta/pizza sauce is a big hit here. I made a big vat of it yesterday. It's the best pizza topping. The freezer pesto also goes down well so I'm going to make that this week too. Having a freezer full of easy meals is important to me at the moment!

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/04/2017 21:04

Ah sorry about the job all.
Take care in the snow frugaleers
Need, art is an investment anyway.
I'm going to add risotto to my meal plan and look to get the jo book
The manager of the skate park is 20 ish weeks pregnant and she had the glow about her tonight. She looked lovely.
Oh copper that is scary but peads heart people are excellent in my experience.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/04/2017 21:05

Snuggly, you are doing great.

LonelyOversharer · 24/04/2017 21:09

copper Flowers that must be so scary, will this be a one-off fix or an ongoing thing as your dgs grows?

All beds remade with new bedding (even got this laundered in time for bed!), have put the old duvets under the bottom sheets as extra padding, as the girls' matresses are crap/cheap/worn out.

Might go and try some trainers on. I'm really crap at returning things, so they need to be the right size to start with.

LonelyOversharer · 24/04/2017 21:15

life after reading some reviews I had thought a 6.5. Have a nice mid range slightly trail-y pair in my amazon basket, to process order or not to process??? It's because they're for me I'm dithering, I'm awfully good at buying things for the dc. For me it's usually just yarn.

Laska5772 · 24/04/2017 21:36

Hi .. so much to read ! (and I havent yet
Thanks need for your nice comment about missing my posts which I saw the other day , Is that because I am so unfrugally naughty sometimes ?! WinkGrin

Anyway I have not long got in from late meeting so this is another quick pop in , . I just had (more) Election training, as we hve local elections next week and they decided this time it was going to be role play and guess who they got to stand out the front all the time as role play poll station manager and answer questions and deal with the the awkward imaginary voters.. I demand more pay for that !! (fat chance)

No spends all weekend! But today I spent £12 in Boots on meds and stuff ..
Then paid out £140 for a mattress for my DS's (26) new flat ..some of you may remember all my travails with him after he dropped out of college , but he did a modern apprenticeship and has now managed to get some higher qualifications and the equivalent of English GCSE grade C (which was what was holding him back, - he is dyslexic)

And he has finally managed to get a 'proper job' at last and is moving into his first 1 bed flat after years of sharing and bedsits ) So At the end of the week ill be raiding my savings and stumping up for deposit ( again) but he will be paying me back this time.

Ho hum.. so they do get there eventually ( at least I hope so.. )

I will read back and post more tomorrow , I am v tired now , its bed and book for me..

HollyTheHarrier · 24/04/2017 23:03

Quick post before bed. Spends today £2.50 on lunch (bad for not taking sandwiches) and £3 on a hot chocolate because I was at work til 9pm and missed my train home and had a long wait and it was cold (too many excuses) 😳

Need that's great going. I got to 4x runs every week last year which really helped. Determined to get back to it soon. Thinking of joining a gym for strength training, it feels extravagant as I could do it at home but I get so bored...and I really need to do more strength training. Are you aiming for a spring marathon in 2018?

Well done to your son laska and sorry about your grandson copper

WreckTangled · 25/04/2017 05:34

Holly you def needed that hot choc.

Laska that's great about your Ds Smile

Copper how worrying for you all Flowers

All sorry about the job. You'll find something suitable I'm sure.

I've been awake since 2:30. Annoying. Today I need to register at work for my expenses. Get 54p a mile.

Cagliostro · 25/04/2017 08:35

Moved more money out of my pathetic ISA to pay for next bus pass! Worth it financially though so it's the right decision if a little depressing
