Oooh le yum!

£30 in Sainsbury's but £9 of it was Tupperware and sun block

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/04/2017 16:37

£11.80 sains. Mostly posh cordial, alcohol doesn't suit me anymore & I can't say I haven't tried. I have tried really hard.

Sainsburys my coupons ends first week of May.

I hope you're ok Need.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/04/2017 16:52

I use my coupons quite a lot, that's a shame.

Probably is creme tis the biggest there is in the North and it was lovely and very, very busy. There is a horse at work event so we got a free trap ride. £6 on the fairground and £2 on sweets.

WreckTangled · 23/04/2017 17:15

Right I'm going to bed. Both dc have just zonked out they made it all day though. First day of new job tomorrow and childminder for ds. Back to frugaleering and weight loss Grin

Need hope Dh starts thinking more clearly too. My sister has bi-polar so I know a small amount about it.

Oh you'll be pleased to know WreckCat any ignoring us as I feared he would. He'd very happy to have us back (although Dh had to cut a massive knot out of his neck!)

mammymammyIRL · 23/04/2017 18:12

Just place marking again, I will deffo catch up with you guys tomo. Dh on nights this week,

Priced up next years holiday - accommodation, flights & car hire comes to €5000, child benefit every month plus €10 weekly will save this for us in time for August 2018. My dsis thinks her & her boyfriend might go with us. They would then contribute to car & accommodation so this would be some of our spending money. It's doable.
I was panicking thinking we'd need to wait until following year.

ChristmasSeacow · 23/04/2017 18:22

Where are you planning to go Mammy? It's a way off but that just gives you more time to look forward to it (as I am for our Scotland trip next year) Smile

Wreck you've all done well to get to the evening! Hope your first day tomorrow goes well.

needastrongone · 23/04/2017 19:27

Thank you North and Girlie...

Thank you also kind folk for your thoughts and good wishes re DH. He missed a super day and he might feel worse for recognising this, but if he isn't well enough that's fair enough. It's a bit tough here at present but it will pass as it always does and I have little to complain about and that's the truth and not me being an arse Grin Anyways, it did me and the DC good to get out and enjoy the day together.

We went to Dalby forest, if any northern frugaleers know of this, it's near Malton/Pickering, bit of a drive for us. Perfect if you have dogs, bikes, love being outdoors and walking etc. We cheated and bought M&S sandwiches as a treat at £15 and entrance was £8 but that's our day out for Easter really, as the DC have studied hard and the pony has been injured. Tons of trails and walks to explore. Good fun.

Well done Wrecked on staying awake so long and good luck tomorrow.

They look lovely Lonely, all those eggs go to good use with your baking skills.

Holly Does running go by the wayside when you are so busy?

Girlie How's DD, any better or still GP tomorrow?

Creme How are you feeling?

North Full on cricket season getting started now!

I am sorry if I have missed folk!

Spends as above but also sold 2 Joules tops for £15.

NSD

We had an omelette for dinner with peppers, mushrooms and onions. DD's not here so we're taking advantage of her absence (she doesn't like eggs).

We cleared out another few drawers in DD's room earlier and I also sorted out a load of paperwork. DH cut the grass and did a bit of work out the back garden. Feel a lot more organized now.

Good luck tomorrow Wreck

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/04/2017 19:42

How was the flight Wreck? i seriously can't imagine being on a plane that long, which is ridiculous as I have been to America a couple of times Grin these days about 2 hours in the air is my limit.

Thanks for asking Need she is better but seems low in herself iykwim, am thinking its just post being ill blues but will see how she goes over the next few days. If I can take her to the GP tomos I will (might be tricky due to work.) I would like them to check her chest is all clear now. Hope your dh picks up soon, I decided today you should do the London Marathon next year?!!!

We had a nice afternoon in the end, the morning was spent doing boring housework and so it was nice to get out. We popped to Morrisons and spent £17 but had a £5 off voucher so actual spend £12, got a fair bit for that.

Then went and had a lovely walk near where my mum lives, was a lovely day and dd was happy as she found some tadpoles to collect for our little pond!! Finished the afternoon off with a delicious roast dinner- yum!!

CremeEggThief · 23/04/2017 19:53

Sounds like a great Sunday, Girlie.

Need, only been to Dalby Forest once, but it's a wonderful part of the world. Sounds like you had a brilliant day and maybe a day hibernating was good for your DH too? DS came back this evening, so told him about what had happened. He remembered meeting them at my sister and BIL's wedding. Sad

Good luck tomorrow, Wreck.

scattyspice · 23/04/2017 20:01

Sad That's tough Creme.
Working today (bank shift so quids in Smile).
£40 dinner money, £20 hoodies for us to share.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/04/2017 20:24

Is dalby with the drive then need/creme? I'm thinking of getting a nymr family ticket so could make a weekend of it. Although could be done in a day but is about as long a drive for us as you need but the other way iykwim need

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/04/2017 20:33

Worth not with

SnugglySnerd · 23/04/2017 20:33

Just checking in, it's been a looooong day! Spent £42 in Sainsbury's and roughly the same in Mothercare, I got a bit carried away.

Welcome home, Wreck and good luck for tomorrow.

Going to catch up with the thread now...

HollyTheHarrier · 23/04/2017 20:34

Need I do find it hard to get out for runs as often as I would like. I'm making a big effort to run both weekend days and normally manage that unless I'm away. But not running much during the week, which means I'm not seeing the improvements I would like to see. I'm hoping after this week things will start to ease up a bit and I might make it to my running club once in a blue moon! Anyway I got out earlier for a steady 13 miles in sunshine and countryside which was lovely. How often do you run?

thewaitresses · 23/04/2017 20:36

We've all come down with stinking colds Sad no spending but also no catching up on the thread either. Just in time for start of term...

Loveabaconsandwich · 23/04/2017 21:39

Feeling really down about going back to work tomorrow after two weeks off with the DC Sad

£10.30 in Tesco

Lots of housework done in preparation for a long week. On the plus side, the following week has the bank holiday at the start of it so focusing on getting to that.

LonelyOversharer · 23/04/2017 21:46

Woo hoo, a nsd! Am pleased, and enough pulled pork for tea tomorrow, any ideas what to have it with? We had it in bread rolls at lunch, it's got lots of sticky sauce with it.

All set for school in the morning, clothes all ready, pe kits found and sorted, but we're going to need several alarms to be up in time! I've been a bit crap with bedtimes over easter.

Mummysh0rtlegs · 23/04/2017 22:03

We put it in fajitas or in a ragu with pasta.

Coppersulphate · 23/04/2017 22:49

Just caught up.
Welcome back Wreck. You all did well to stay awake for so long.
Need, hope DH feels better soon. Bipolar is tough on all the family not just the sufferer. I bet your running keeps you going.
Been working all weekend in Manchester. Absolutely knackered now. Going to bed.
NSD

WreckTangled · 24/04/2017 05:42

Mmm pulled pork yum!

Girlie the flight was as good as it could be really. 36 hours door to door travelling! Could dd have post viral fatigue? Have they screened for glandular fever?

I'm going to have to pay for parking this week for work not sure how much it'll be but it's near the city train station so doubt it'll be cheap...

Need I'm pleased you and the dc had a good day together Smile

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/04/2017 05:55

Good luck today wreck, I'm sure you will be a Star

Bleurgh, did not like my 5.30 alarm this morning.

Hoping for a LSD

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/04/2017 06:21

Good luck wreck
Back to school and work here too. Not organised at all

northender · 24/04/2017 07:08

Good luck today wreck
I've done fajitas with leftover pulled pork or cooked it with onions, peppers and tinned chopped tomatoes and eaten with pasta.
Good luck to all those back at work/school after the holidays. We're a week back in now so fully back in routine & counting down to half term!

Yesterday was good. Dh and I had a lovely beach walk & then watched cricket for the rest of the day. Managed to fit in some house chores too. £4.50 on parking at the beach & I'm not sure how much on drinks at friend's anniversary party (I only had a couple of diet cokes so not too much).

Today will be spendy. Going to gym to work out first (paid for), then emergency dentist appointment as my tooth broke on Friday night (not paid or budgeted for!). Fortunately it hasn't given me too much grief over the weekend, but one-sided eating isn't easy.

Cagliostro · 24/04/2017 07:34

Best of luck wreck 🌟💐
