The massage sounds well worth it, Girlie. Ipso, walnut oil makes a good salad dressing. It can even be added into juice or cereal/porridge. We used to get it for DS when he was little to supplement his omega 6 levels.

Welcome to the thread, PhoenixSmile.

Spends: £2.25 milk and bread top-up and 40p reservation fee for a library book.

Brightermornings · 21/03/2017 16:47

Hi thank you again for all your kind words and suggestions.
I did end up spending but on the Aldi candles which have caused such a stir and there for presents for people.
No chance of a walk I've been at work all day then dd is football training tonight. That means I'm out of the house for 2 hours as it's too far to drop her off then come home. I'm starting a course and I've got a workbook to fill in so I'm going to take that with me.
I've actually got a nice day planned on sunday my ds is coming home and taking me for brunch at my fav cafe. He recently got a car so we will be going in his car not mine. I also reminded him he was making tea. He also sent me a cryptic message which was to do with my present.

ememem84 · 21/03/2017 17:35

Haven't caught up. Will do so later.

Scan today. Baby is 12 weeks 5 days. Two hands. Two feet. Steady strong heartbeat. All good in the hood. I had a bit of a cry. Pretty sure dh did too.

And just one baby in there!!!!!!

Needastrongone · 21/03/2017 17:35

Welcome Phoenix. Smile

Ah the strange and slightly pleasurable pain of a sports massage Girlie! I'm getting towards needing one, they are hugely effective aren't they?

North Isn't feeling fitter and healthier a positive cycle? You feel better, feel a few results and it's the incentive you need to keep at it. My PT pushes me hard but I kind of like hurting a bit!

Hope your day went okay Seacow.

Ipso This is said as a genuine question. Do you think your stomach issues have anything to do with your anxiety? They are often linked I think? Did the dietician have any comment about all the exclusions from your diet? I just wonder if it's all linked together. It's fine to not answer if you don't want to.

£40 Boots
£20 Sainsburys

Awwww brilliant Em, we cross posted. Such a relief. Enjoy. xxx

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/03/2017 18:05

Phew! One baby is surely enough as a pfb? Grin

Do you see a little bump yet?. I could tell one of my colleagues was pg when she sat down even though she was a sturdy build. I didn't say anything though. First 12 weeks & all that.

ememem84 · 21/03/2017 18:10

Sometimes I think I can a bump. But then I'm not sure if it's just I've eaten too much! Haha!

Yes one is def enough! Everyone had joked that it might be twins. And I started to believe it might be!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/03/2017 18:12

Aww Em thats brilliant news, have you got an official due date now?

Yes Need my shoulder does feel loads better for it but there were points were I was biting down to stop myself screaming Grin the lady was really nice though! I have put an incident form in today as am sure its a work related injury, will see if anyone pays it any attention Hmm

Spent another £12 in Sainsburys on various bits and pieces. Gave dd £10 to get me something for mothers day but she is going to give me that back!!

Have a lovely tea tonight, did a bacon salad with noodles was so delicious!!

WreckTangled · 21/03/2017 18:16

Brilliant em! Bumps always get bigger at the end of the day when your tummy is full as everything is pushed further up. Gotta love the stage where you just look a bit tubby 😆

Wildernesstips · 21/03/2017 18:18

£10 top up shop in Aldi, mainly fruit. Excellent news on the scan and the promotion Em.

Seacow me & DS both suffer from nosebleeds - they can be quite frightening.

Mammy I use our library app all the time. Ours is free but €5 a year is less than the cost of one book if you bought it in a shop so well worth it.

ememem84 · 21/03/2017 18:20

Yes. Due date 28 sept. Eeek

SnugglySnerd · 21/03/2017 18:29

Brilliant, Em! Enjoy sharing your good news now.

Last day of DH's paternity leave today - eek! Bit scared about tomorrow as DD1 will be here too and the midwife is coming round, it'll be chaos I expect. Emergency Waitrose tiramisu in fridge for if it all gets too much!

Needastrongone · 21/03/2017 18:41

Em I've got a September baby and a summer born. Only imho but the autumn borns are at an advantage. At least to start with. They are much more ready for school that those that have just turned 4.

Ipsomatic · 21/03/2017 18:51

need yes I think so, but it's all bound up together with the sleep deprivation and the huge number of stressful things that have happened in recent years. I'm working with a dietician and a totally lovely clinical psychologist to sort it all out, and hope very much to emerge as a butterfly from this cocoon asap. Today's appointment helped a great deal.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 21/03/2017 18:57

That was my first thought need ! Autumn babies are so much more ready for school. I have 2 June babies, and they both found the start of reception tough going, dd2 is flying now, but ds is still adjusting (3 terms in, dd2 is y6).

em fab news. Its hard not to cry at scans, its such a miracle.

Isn't most normal veg oil rapeseed? Or do you need special cold pressed stuff to get the good bits? Genuine question as I use veg oil over olive oil nowadays. Use loads less than I used to. Have a coconut oil spray that I use a lot.

Went for school shoes, ds got shoes in clarks and a pair of sketchers trainers, having gone up a whole size to a whopping 9! He has teeny feet. Will look on amazon as the outlet had nothing that fitted dd2, adult size 4. Got the kids a maccy dees for tea £13, and a costa for me and dp £5. Dp bought the shoes.

Just took the dogs 4 miles on the bike. Crikey I'm unfit! Gravel track on my hybrid. Max speed 20mph on the flat part, and my visla kept up when I did that (for about 1/4 mile) boy can that dog run! Did us all good!

Needastrongone · 21/03/2017 19:04

Ipso I'm so glad that you are working on the stomach and the head Smile Thank you for sharing that, I'm glad today has helped.

Knitting tbh, DD didn't catch up until Y5/6. But she did catch up and I had the benefit of her being my 2nd born and you are so much more relaxed. I adore Vizla's, there's a guy that bikes round here with 2, it's fab to watch them run. Slightly mad dogs though. Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2017 19:05

There was a sleet shower at lunch but my town always seems to be in its own ecosystem. Cold wind though.
Nsd

Cagliostro · 21/03/2017 19:09

I agree too need there's a certain natural confidence that can go along with being one of the oldest in the school year. DS is August 30th and I'll never forget shortly after he was born, my friend came round with her little boy who had just turned one at the start of September. I looked at them both next to each other thinking OMG they are going to be in the same school year! And he did struggle, that's not to say all summer babies will of course, and in hindsight DS clearly had other issues going on, but it was hard having the same expectations on him as other kids who had been alive nearly 20% longer than him! It was weird seeing him walk into school when he had been a 3 year old until about a week before!

Still it all evens out in the end. And they have to have the cut off somewhere. In fact one of my friends just moved to another part of the UK where the cut off is July I think, so her eldest - who has the same birthday as DS - will suddenly be in the year below but will be one of the oldest. She has been struggling too so that's going to make a big difference to her. :)

Anyway, Ipso so so glad you got that appointment today. It sounds like the approach you're taking is attacking it from all angles and that's going to be brilliant! Totally agree too about the frugality generally giving you the money for this, the thing that will make the biggest impact on your quality of life. Awesome!

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/03/2017 19:16

Em, hurrah for the scan.
Welcome phoenix. Have you been through your direct debit and cancelled the ones you no longer need, checked for the best utility and credit card rates, kitchen inventory for meal planning.

I'm doing the rapeseed oil challenge and there is a web site with loads of recipes. Veg oil and rapeseed appears to be the same but processed differently. I prefer cold pressed rapeseed tbh. Especially when MN pay for it Grin

MeadowHay · 21/03/2017 19:42

Ipsos Hope diatetician's advise helps Smile.

Em AWWWW so glad baby is healthy and growing good Grin.

Spends today:
£3.10 on flavoured water & a bagel in the SU while I was at work. Was too disorganised to sort anything before I went Blush.
£68ish on a food shop from Sainsbo's that will come on Thursday evening.

Interviewed for my replacement at work today which was a cool new experience, then we decided fairly quickly who we wanted and rang her up to offer her the job. She asked for feedback which I wasn't expecting seeing as she got the job Confused.

Also got an e-mail saying I passed through to the next stage of the graduate scheme I've applied for - I thought that meant I had a place at the assessment centre for interviews, but apparently that's the next stage after us lot have been shortlisted. I applied in like December, it's the longest process ever, and I don't find out til the end of April whether I'm invited to the assessment centre or not! I hate waiting for things, makes me so anxious, because I'll be very disappointed if I don't get shortlisted.

Got an exam tomorrow, eek.

MeadowHay · 21/03/2017 19:42

Oh and welcome to phoenix!

CremeEggThief · 21/03/2017 19:50

Good luck with your exam, Meadow.

mammymammyIRL · 21/03/2017 19:57

Awww fabulous em

I'm just after doing mid week homework of 100 burpees & dh was counting them when I finished I said what was the time and he says 7.27, I said no way I did 100 burpees in that time & he says was I meant to time you Hmm so he timed one which was would make 12 per minute so I'm going to count it as ten minutes just to allow for slow ones,

I hated that stage wreck much preferred a proper bump where I didn't just look like I'd gained weight Smile

My payslip looked mega with my Christmas club paid out in it to pay for laser hair removal Smile

Wilderness that's exactly what I think about library so it will be well worth it. I have the app on my Kindle Fire as well as my phone.
