No, it's Sennen beach, Cornwall.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/03/2017 18:36

Automatics make it much easier, actual driving is easy. It's clutch control that takes time to learn.

Blue I think that would count as a purchase but ring them and ask. It's worth a punt.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 14/03/2017 18:45

need they're getting nervy and all want their bikes tweaked, and gels etc. I sign them all in, and give out numbers as well as doing the teas afterwards, so I'll see a full range from super laid back to very jittery on sunday!

trying will take pic tomorrow, it's just got dark, have done an hours digging (the other side of the patio). At least it's not underwater now.

Our big car is an automatic, it's amazing, basically drives itself. But it does about 36mpg, so a touch thirsty! My little manual c1 does double that, but only has 4 seats - swings/roundabouts!

Wildernesstips · 14/03/2017 19:05

NSD and only worked a short day so feeling quite chilled after my crazy week last week.

Cagliostro · 14/03/2017 19:48

creme Thanks

northender · 14/03/2017 22:10

On speaking terms with ds again.....until the next time!
polka Sennen is so beautiful. We're hoping to get a week in West Cornwall in October half term. Our half term is a week later than most again so low season prices. I'm hoping to get somewhere better than we usually would, maybe St Ives.

Needastrongone · 14/03/2017 22:12

I'm jittery and talk even more than usual knitting, at races but I'm not snappy just witter on and very buzzy. I'm racing on Sunday, 10 road miles, then cracking on with volume and trails/off road.

Just discovered Gu gels, more pricey than some gels, unless you search around but the flavours are fab. And Shotbloks.

Boot Camp was fun, tough but fun.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/03/2017 22:12

Quick post before bed, had a really early night last night as felt so knackered, went to bed at 8.30, same time as dd!! Felt better today for it though.

Ystd was a LSD £3.20 on a few bits for lunch and today was a NSD.

Em your mil really is a piece of work Angry exciting that you're nearly 12 weeks though!

MeadowHay · 14/03/2017 22:55

Creme I posted a thread recently in the section for Mumsnetters with SN asking if anyone who had coordination problems due to SN had learnt to drive as I'm hoping to give it a go on an automatic in the summer, and a few people posted and had learnt to drive successfully even on manual. But I am aware my anxiety may also be a problem so deffo aiming for automatic to make it easier for myself. I've also been watching I'm Different: Let Me Drive on bbc iplayer which has improved my confidence and desire to start learning to drive, it would give me so much freedom because my anxiety makes it hard to use public transport so I would be so much freer if I could drive myself to visit family and so on, it really would be life-changing for me I think.

Cagliostro · 14/03/2017 23:47

That's fab meadow! :)

I had a good afternoon in the end, did the lesson swap and earned some cash for the extra pupil. Friend showed me some flute stuff too. :)

ememem84 · 15/03/2017 06:56

Morning all.

Aside from my post office spend yesterday I also ordered slmemchewing gum as a gift for ddad from Amazon £13 for 30 packs. He was moaning he didn't have any but wouldn't go to the shop Hmm so I placed a surprise order for airwaves and they should arrive on Friday. Haha! he'll complain he has too much now

Started looking at baby stuff last. Ugh you online. Hypothetically spent thousands (cot beds, Moses baskets, peaks, car seats clothes bottles sterilisers dress up outfits (baby hot dog...?!) maternity wear etc etc) then before I caved and bought something made a list of the essentials.

Dh said he wanted to get an all blacks kit for baby while he was in nz. But didn't know what size to buy! So has left it. Must add that to list of essentials... so he/she can wear it while watching rugby with him. Haha!

WreckTangled · 15/03/2017 06:59

Beeneatingburnttoast · 15/03/2017 07:50

Good luck wreck

em love a bit of online baby shopping. But yes, an essentials list is the way to go

Stood outside the train using the free wi fi. Just discovered it works!

meadow I took a lot of lessons to pass my driving lesson. I was anxious as I was and still am a nervous driver. But I passed first time. I now only drive on routes I like unless I really have to.

Needastrongone · 15/03/2017 07:52

You know me well lifeSmile

Beeneatingburnttoast · 15/03/2017 07:53

Health visitor yesterday wants to refer little DD to speech and language. Little DD didn't say a word when she was there but didn't stop talking after she left. She doesn't speak three words at a time which is bad at her age. But she has definitely really had speech explosion in the last month or so, so trying not to worry

I feel bad though as I should've done more with her Sad

Beeneatingburnttoast · 15/03/2017 07:54

Just been pooped on by a pigeon! Shock

Cagliostro · 15/03/2017 07:54

Good luck wreck Thanks

Cagliostro · 15/03/2017 07:56

Aww bean don't worry about it. Some kids just take longer. Anyway you said she was talking after. It may be that SLT discharge her anyway if it was just that she clammed up in front of HV, but if not they'll give helpful tips and games anyway. SLT was amazing for us.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/03/2017 08:06

It's not your fault toast It's not like you keep her locked in a room on her own all day.

Good luck wreck, it won't be that bad. It never is.

blueteapot · 15/03/2017 08:13

Toast was it her 2 year check? DS was barely saying a word... nearly got referred - 2 months later it all came tumbling out. Now at 4 he talks constantly lol I need to invest in some ear plugs Wink

Needastrongone · 15/03/2017 08:49

Toast. DS didn't really speak at all until he was 3 and had speech therapy. Even when he could speak, he chose not to at nursery, just drew diagrams and trains in great detail and did shape puzzles constantly. His nursery teacher wasn't even remotely worried.

DS has just got 7 A*'s and 5 A's at GCSE.

I actually think that I did too much with him when he was tiny, and should have just let him be, I don't think we do let our DC just 'be' enough now. Both of mine have done better when I realised this.

DO NOT WORRY. YOU ARE A GREAT PARENT Smile

I am going to give £50 to the DEC appeal for the famine in East Africa, the radio appeal has touched me and we have so much in comparison.
