Mine was doing things wrong (she's fairly new) and every time I tried to nicely point out what she should have done she came back with an excuse as to why she did it rather than accepting she was wrong. She does it all the bloody time!

I've just put an apple crumble in the oven mmmm

ememem84 · 22/11/2016 19:23

Nope. Well yes they do. But you've still got to go and pick them out. So sort of defeats the point.

I have started buying a lot from Amazon. Washing powders, tea, cat food etc.

Feelunique used to be based here. It was great. I could order on a Sunday morning and they'd deliver on a Sunday afternoon. Someone would drop it round on their way home. Brilliant. Now I have to wait for the post like everyone else. Sad

I've put the cheese away. It was too dangerous.

ememem84 · 22/11/2016 19:27

Did she use either of the following phrases "but that's how I did it at my old place" "that's how I was taught to do it"

Those particularly get my back up. I had one today. Our contractor. I'd asked her to "prepare a payment to mr xxx". Meaning pay him. She did everything but the actual payment inputting. I asked why and she said "it's semantics isn't it mate. You asked me to prepare the payment. That's what I did. You didn't ask me to make the payment."

Firstly, don't call me mate. Or honey. Or doll. I fucking hate that. Only dh is allowed stupid pet names. Because his are stupid. Today's was "baby puffin" mine for him today "love chicken".

Secondly. Make the effing payment. You know what I mean. Aaaahhh

I am so glad tomorrow is my last day until Monday.

WreckTangled · 22/11/2016 19:31

No, she just made excuses! 'Well the lady on the phone was being difficult' er no, you were the one being difficult!

Has anyone had laser hair removal? Thinking if I save it would be cheaper in the long run than waxing and is £120 for six sessions

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/11/2016 19:41

£6 in b&q

Telling you lot as dh doesn't appreciated how excited I am. Been looking for a Bab stuffing station but they are out of stock everywhere. Managed to reserve on in Argos and it's reduced to £21.99 from £30. Thought Santa was going to fail there

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2016 19:41

Depends if it's laser hair REDUCTION or laser hair removal. One is worth paying for. The other isn't.

I had a home laser but sold it because the cat always managed to look at the laser while I did it & I didn't want to blind him.

ememem84 · 22/11/2016 19:47

Ahem.

WreckTangled · 22/11/2016 20:04

Thanks fluffy Smile

Le yum em!

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/11/2016 20:10

Looks good em

Martin Lewis is on itv. Good grief

Tryingtosaveup · 22/11/2016 20:13

Christmas, thanks for the link. You have just solved problem for Santa for DGS.
Wreck, I have had lots of laser hair removal and it is very painful but does work. I had it done in the local college where the students were learning how to do it. They are heavily supervised so it's ok and very much cheaper.
I wish I had had more done. I had some on my face and it was excruciating but I was pleased with the result.
£6 for lunch with friends.

WreckTangled · 22/11/2016 20:14

Oh no trying I had heard it wasn't painful Shock

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/11/2016 20:15
Confused

You're destroying hair roots. It hurts. The bit around joints is the worst.

WreckTangled · 22/11/2016 20:18

Well two colleagues at work today are currently having it and they said it wasn't painful!

ememem84 · 22/11/2016 20:37

wreck they're lying.

Someone told me threading didn't hurt either. They lied hurts like a motherfucker

Im a Bit sweary today. I apologise.

Wildernesstips · 22/11/2016 21:27

Wreck I had 5 Yorkshire puddings in my 4-pack. Maybe all food factory workers are innumerate.

£1.45 bread.

Lifelong intrigued to know what a stuffing station is.

SnugglySnerd · 22/11/2016 21:57

My cat has a cheese detector too!
£10 yoga, going to bed now. Will catch up properly tomorrow.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/11/2016 22:39

Hi all late post after manic day!

Spent £39 in Lidls on a weekly shop, £10 of that was two gifts so not too bad.

Work gave me a lovely, huge bunch of flowers today which was so nice. I have been there 10 years and am usually lucky to get a card Grin

Off to bed now, will catch up properly tomorrow.

Tryingtosaveup · 22/11/2016 22:49

Can I tap into all of your techie knowledge and pick your brains please?
DGD aged 8 has asked for these from Santa but I don't know if they're any good or if she has just seen them somewhere or if they are useless. Or if there is something similar which is better. Obviously won't get them all
Kano computer kit
Meccano Micronoid programmable socket robot
John Adams Hot Wire electronics kit
Thanks.
Wreck, trust me it hurts. Big time. It works, but hurts. Go for it.

ChristmasSeacow · 22/11/2016 23:19

I had laser hair removal a couple of years back and I would say it was more uncomfortable than painful - mostly like being repeatedly pinged with a rubber band, although more painful on bony bits like around ankles. I had legs, armpits, bikini and face done. Was expensive but worth it - I wasn't especially hairy but used to get nasty shaving rashes underarm and on legs.

mammy DS would love that clock. Problem is he would be obsessed with it. He got hold of my mum's alarm clock and we had to ration it to 2 hrs per day Hmm

I too want to know what a stuffing station is!

Apologies for not responding to all posters, I am shattered tonight. Will try to catch up tomorrow.

Almost NSD, just strawberries!

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/11/2016 06:10

It's a build a bear thing where you can make 2 teddies at home yourself.

WreckTangled · 23/11/2016 06:37

Hmm I will consider it when I have some money...

Girlie that's lovely Smile

Well today I have to have a blood test, go to the bank to pay £1k off dh's credit card, take ds to swimming (promised him something from the vending machine if he doesn't cry Blush) then I might go and get my foot X-rayed. Going to do chicken and chorizo casserole in the slow cooker for dinner.

WreckTangled · 23/11/2016 07:01

Oh and dd has a physio appt after school. I keep forgetting. Busy day.

CathodeRayTube · 23/11/2016 07:26

We have the hot wire kit Trying. It's really good. I don't know about the others.

SnugglySnerd · 23/11/2016 07:37

I thought it was something to do with stuffing turkeys, Lifelong!
Off to the supermarket this morning with quite a long list. DD and DH are both full of cold and I expect I'll get it so I'm stocking up on comfort food, fruit and veg and tissues, Vicks etc!

WreckTangled · 23/11/2016 07:37

Trying the hot wires set is reduced a bit on Amazon
