Also, bought 2 bottles of Aldi Monsigny champagne yesterday (£9.99) as it came out as a Which Best Buy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/11/2016 08:09

Cag Are you on the Christmas threads?. I wouldn't know what to do with a palette.

Wreck Go for it but use a proper orthodontist who knows what their doing.

ememem84 · 27/11/2016 08:22

need it's funny - I've cantered no stirrups before and have trotted no stirrups no reins (both sitting and rising - that was a particularly mean day!). Never attempted a canter until yesterday. It was quite exhilarating. I spoke to pony and told her what was happening asked her to canter gave her a leg on and off we went. No one else in my group managed it.

I was getting a bit fed up with it all. As there are new people (kids) in the group now and they don't listen and they mess about and I felt they were holding me back. I spoke to my instructor who said she understood what I was saying but to use it as an opportunity to really hone the basics and work on the little things. Sort my positioning out etc. My toes always turn out.

cag if no make up then yes to scarf. Or maybe a hat? Some great ones in accessorise.

ememem84 · 27/11/2016 08:24

fluffy urban decay tells me I'm meant to be able to create the perfect smokey eye with the pallet. Also a great "day" look sand a great "night" look.

I'm just working my way through the shades. No time for shading contouring or and of that

mammymammyIRL · 27/11/2016 08:44

Hey all lovely scarf wreck
Spendy day yesterday went to see Santa spent €16ish in cafe, €55 on dinner out & €38 on drinks.

Staying in a hotel in Dublin dh was gifted it for his birthday

He turned into a complete ass after we came back from a great night out so we ended up in separate beds for the night. I'm fuming, his last statement was that he wanted to leave early this morning to get home to see dc(he's still sleeping Hmm) this is because he knows I wanted to browse the shops until lunchtime as we're never in Dublin & it's a month before Christmas & ive done all the present buying so far this year Angry

Counted my chance actually €24 on drinks Grin

SnugglySnerd · 27/11/2016 09:16

Sorry to hear that, mammy, what a shame when you have a lovely night away.

Plan for today is baking including making mince pies for the freezer in the hope they will last until Xmas without getting eaten!

ememem84 · 27/11/2016 09:28

mammy food looks ace! What's the very green drink??!

Having scrambled eggs for breakfast. Yummy.

Dh is still sleeping.

He's going to make a Christmas cake today. Fruitcake is his weakness. He will eat it before Christmas.

WreckTangled · 27/11/2016 09:38

Oh no mammy that sucks. Food looks awesome though!

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/11/2016 10:16

I'm doing well today, talked myself out of ordering moisturiser & sunscreen.

That's £30 saved.

mammymammyIRL · 27/11/2016 10:23

It was called Namaka Punch, I'd three of them! Malibu, spiced Bacardi & I don't recall what else perhaps augoustura bitters too?

ememem84 · 27/11/2016 10:27

Sounds awesome mammy

CremeEggThief · 27/11/2016 12:03

Just having croissants with roule and a pot of coffee for breakfast, nom, nom, nom. Some of you get up far too early for a Sunday!Wink

Sorry to hear about last night, Mammy. Was he drunk?

Hoping for an NSD.

CremeEggThief · 27/11/2016 12:03

Have fun on the Polar Express, Life.

CathodeRayTube · 27/11/2016 13:28

We've slightly spiralled into chaos here. Ds enjoyed writing his santa list so much that he is now planning birthday and Christmas presents for years to come, and wondering else he could write letters to with list of toys that he wants. I wonder when that wears off?

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 27/11/2016 13:39

Well he can write as many toy requests as he wants as long as he knows it ain't all gonna happen :o

Cagliostro · 27/11/2016 14:04

I've decided today will have to be a needlessly spendy day. Hmm Caglets are going stir crazy as am I, DH is at work. Going to head to Asda for dinner stuff, go to the park for them to let off steam, and maybe see if we can find a nice scarf or similar for aforementioned 23yo (thank you all for the ideas! :)). Really glad I don't have any more Christmas shopping to do now. Except I still need to sneakily find character underwear for DD's stocking. I ordered some MLP ones which arrived today from M&Co but they are MASSIVE, like so big they'd almost fit me (and I'm not skinny understatement :o) sizing is soooo inconsistent. Hmm

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/11/2016 14:08

Hi all, sorry to hear that mammy men can be a pita at times can't they.

We are back from town, did quite well I think...

Spends.
£6 in Next on 2 long sleeved tops for dd, had a £6 gift card so should have been £12.
Dd got herself the new David Walliams book, in true frugalleer style we compared the price between Smiths and Waterstones and as she had a £2 gift card for Waterstones went with them, she got it for £4 when full price it should be £12.99!
£2.20 in Wilkos on sink hole unblocker and rubber gloves.
£12 in The Works, got a book for each of my brothers for Christmas and a 2017 calendar for £2!

Home now and chilling for the rest of the day, got a headache which is annoying so have downed some solpodol and coffee to try and get rid of it!

Interesting re the riding Need dd had a lesson ystd and the pony was spooked by some twigs in the road Hmm anyway apparently started rearing up and generally panicking, they were doing work with feet out of stirrups so dd just had to use her body to regain control and not fall off!

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/11/2016 14:12

NSD

Friday is my caustic soda down the sink girlie. My life is non stop glamour.

ememem84 · 27/11/2016 14:49

girlie pony was spooked the other day by a crisp packet. It's crazy how it's she's fine with cars going past etc but something small like a scary leaf or a crisp packet makes her go all weird.

My legs and abs are hurting today. And it'll probably be worse tomorrow.

Am toying with the idea of buying myself some Christmas gifts from dh. To avoid a repeat of last years lemur onesie debacle.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2016 15:28

Barbour coat has gone back as not warm enough. Search goes on for a warm, waterproof Parker.

CathodeRayTube · 27/11/2016 16:25

I just tried reading mumsnet classics to ds and he roared with laughter for an hour. That's a pretty good free activity.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/11/2016 16:35

Ha Fluffy this was for the bath (the shower is over the bath) and it was totally rammed with hair nice and clean now though Wink

AdoraBell · 27/11/2016 16:43

em do you have a joint account you could use? I'd do it in your situation. I've just ordered a reduced Jeager sweater for myself on DH's behalf so that I get points.

Well done not spending £30 fluffy 👍

Hope the park worked for calming DCs down cag

Had a lovely morning at the Christmas market Xmas Grin bought fudge, £10, cheese, £15, chocolate, £7, decos £20, gloves for DD2, £12, dried lavender bunch also for DD2, £6. The sausage company didn't have GF, to avoid cross contamination, so I will order some next week. Feel all shopped out ATM.

allthebestplease · 27/11/2016 17:06

Did lidl shop £34 and bought a snow globe in there for £6. Then looked around tk Maxx and bought a nice note book reduced to £3 and nice stedler coloured pens reduced to £6, I dont need either so not frugal, but they are lovely to write and doodle with.
I'm going to do more clearing out of stuff, ive been reading the minimalist blog and its inspiring me. I dont have things to sell but still have stuff everywhere. I have 5 scissors and 4 rulers... I mean why?!
