Off on my hols today!
Have a good week everyone Smile

SnugglySnerd · 16/07/2016 06:32

Morning all! Have great holidays Need and Badders.
DD has had me up since 6 so I am blearyly starting next week's shopping list.
Plan for today is to return things I bought on Weds then go and look for bargains in BHS closing down sale, apparently the lighting is all reduced and I'm going to have a look at the children's section too. DH is looking for work shirts.
Have a lovely Saturday all!

babsmam · 16/07/2016 07:33

Dreadful nights sleep here too. Stress.
Going to catch up on the news now.
Potentially Spendy day. Might put new table off for a couple of month, especially as I Might be stepping down a grade next week.

lilacclery · 16/07/2016 07:43

creme and badders have a fantastic time on your holidays.

Good move ipsos and you can save for the project. I'm going to continue to throw all I can at debt to clear it asap.

I had €200 put aside for car deposit & am saving for car tax payment at end of month. Using the €200 would mean I could buy 6 months instead of 3 & save €6, putting it against credit card debt will save me much more in interest so guess which I'm going to do Wink
One credit card has balance of 926 & other one €1200 same interest, which would you throw it at or split it?

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 16/07/2016 07:57

Morning!

Finally got paid yesterday, however it's not an accurate sum so I think my pay will be all over the place next week..

Lila what interest are your cards on?

lilacclery · 16/07/2016 08:02

They're 13.76% & 14%. I've tried to move them to interest free but they're not widely available in Ireland. And last time I tried was told I couldn't apply for another 6 months

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2016 08:06

I'd pay the highest interest first. That's what mse says to do. Can you balance transfer to 0% interest then pay it off at the same amount each month?.

Yesterday was

£20 butcher
£20 aldi
£3.50 Iceland
£3 homebargains hair remover and Zoflora
£4 morrisons.
40p thin bleach in sainsbos.

Today is already £23 practice hand for doing shellac nails. I did my nephews partners last night and it took 90 mins to do a French polish with grapefruit sparkle overlay & a cream puff accent nail.

Boden and shoeaholics have confirmed my refunds.

Had a clearout, took a rug and two pillows to the tip on my own. It was tip the rug or vacuum it so I tipped it. Stripey fucker that it was.

lilacclery · 16/07/2016 08:27

Just did a search & found kbc are offering a cashback cc with 0% for 6 months on balance transfer have applied for it for one cc would like to keep TESCO cc active as putting many spends through it to gain enough points for free ferry for hols next year.
Every week I must pay my returns to my self employed employer going to try do this on card now too. Every €100 gets me 50 points which translates to €2 against my ferry next year, trying not to think of all the payments I've already made Angry at same time I lodge the exact money to my card so that my balance doesn't increase. That's ok right?

Pics of your nails portfolio fluffy if it doesn't out you!

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2016 08:31

Ooh creme & badders you is on holiday. It's very dull here creme so I hope Crete is sunny & you are stuffing yourself with breakfast.

Will find nail pic.

lilacclery · 16/07/2016 08:32

If you click into my pics it shows your net worth Grin
Where's Laska? She'll understand!!

Going to do my tax return this month bring in some more money Smile

needastrongone · 16/07/2016 08:57

Morning.

This post may be disjointed, as I flick through, trying to read all the recent posts Smile

Are you OK babs, you last few posts have worried me a bit tbh? Flowers

Creme and Badders, have a fab time. Loving the cheap white wine Creme, and I also love that rush of heat you get stepping off a plane.

Ipsos A jet wash machine is actually not too much to buy outright. You will honestly not believe the difference jet washing the drive will make. DH does ours a couple of times a year (we tend to drag a bit of mud back from the farm in the winter) and it always looks brilliant afterwards.

Grin at the 'stripey fucker' rug Fluffy. We have one in our room that has raised circles. Looks brill, but a bastard to vacuum.

BHS do, or used to do lovely lighting Snuggly, hope you get what you want.

Yesterday I spend £25 on getting lots of spare keys cut and some suede protector for some new shoes.
£65 on petrol.
£5 on DS karate.

needastrongone · 16/07/2016 09:00

My dogs yesterday on our walk. Lucky to live where we do.

I can't think of a witty title, so here is July's Frugaleer Thread! All welcome.
Fluffycloudland77 · 16/07/2016 09:15

Those dogs look on point need you need a cat to complete your pet family.

That net worth would frighten me.

wilko do quite nice lighting, there homeware is really good. Failing that eBay is excellent for John Lewis lighting.

lilacclery · 16/07/2016 09:29

Fluffy it was worse there were no 'assets' I also have some savings not in ynab that would halve the negative net worth

Unescorted · 16/07/2016 09:29

Morning
It is sooooo wet here. I am going to have a day of working out what to eat and a clear out of the kitchen cupboards. It will be a dull day in both senses.

needastrongone · 16/07/2016 09:37

I have a pony and 5 chickens, 2 teenagers and a husband Fluffy, what more could I possible need in life..........Grin

lilacclery · 16/07/2016 10:08

Dd going to a birthday party @ 2 for 3 hours - I'm going to be tidying my room unescorted Sad

WreckTangled · 16/07/2016 11:03

£25 petrol
£42 lidl
A few tears and a massive headache due to dd being a dick.

babsmam · 16/07/2016 11:18

Stripey fucker Grin love it fluffy

glorious sunshine here - come on around and i'll bake.

Wreck Flowers

no im not in a good place need at all. the last few months have been very stressful and i'm quite unhappy now and back on meds. i need to decide my next move - do i keep on with this job or do i give it up and not get the chance again as that's how our office works. If i wanted promo in the long run i would have to apply externally but part of me things the dc are still too young to have a stressed mum Love the dogs btw and the view.

SnugglySnerd · 16/07/2016 11:19

Didn't get any lighting but we did get a lovely fluffy new set of towels greatly reduced.
Found out my aunt passed away last night. Very sad. Bought a card for my uncle.
Returned items and bought a top and a dress in the sale. Top is lovely, I'm in two minds about the dress, it's a bit floaty for me but I can't return it if I bought it in the sale can I?
Need to do a little top up shop later. It's turning into a spendier day than I imagined.

babsmam · 16/07/2016 11:35

Don't if they have done an emergency advance it is usually 70% so they don't pay you too much. Or it is with our work

ItalianWiking84 · 16/07/2016 11:59

Lila: always pay the highest interest loan first, unless there's a debt you can clear off entirely. First lesson I learned while being a trainee in a bank
Need: your souroundings looks fab, I live on the country side too and it's amazing.
Babs and wreck Flowers to both of you. Hope your soon feeling better.

Dhs brothers are coming for a week tomorrow from nl. With all going on the world right now I am bit worried about them travelling but even more worried about my fil who is in Ankara given master classes. Mil is very concerned and it's hard for dh to be so fare away to not be able to truly calm her down.
We been trying to make a plan for outings for next week, so have hc andersens house, a castle on water, Lego land, soft play and a day visiting Copenhagen.
Have also found out that our year card to the zoo gives us 1 free entrance to 4 other animal parks so dh and I are planning on seeing them all with dd during our holiday ...

Taytocrisps · 16/07/2016 12:36

Very sad to hear about the attack in Nice. Unsettling news from Turkey too.

Hope all the holiday makers have a lovely time. I'm planning a few days in Dublin with DD next weekend. I'm thinking maybe a visit to Trinity College (The Book of Kells), a day at the sea (Howth or Dun Laoghaire) and a day at Powerscourt in Wicklow. I was looking up the website for Powerscourt and apparently they have a museum of childhood with a collection of doll's houses etc. I think DD would really enjoy a walk around it.

A quiet weekend here as we wait for pay day to roll around (Thursday). It's sunny and windy atm so I plan to catch up on some washing today. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Cagliostro · 16/07/2016 13:53

Tryingtosaveup sorry I've only just started catching up on the thread! Blush No, we didn't sort out a beekeeper visit yet as we never got round to sorting out the workshop either Blush (I really thought the days of 'end of term madness' would be over when the DCs came out of school, but it seems just as crazy in home ed!). But I still have all the stuff put aside and it would be fab to have a visit as well, thank you :) we are in West Sussex, if that helps Thanks :) :)

Not going out today (DH took DD to dancing) - planning on doing more shredding.
