Thanks for the suggestion Blue. I hope it isn't that too, but it is what I thought even before mum suggested it too.

She also asked me if I think I have arthritis? She has both rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis; both my sisters have rheumatoid. I have had problems with my hands for months.

Tryingtosaveup · 28/05/2016 23:34

Oh Audit plantar fasciitis is awful, really painful. I had it years ago when I used to run a lot. Insoles sorted it out though so I hope you are ok for your holiday.
Not too spendy..£32 on diesal, £6.50 for snacks on the motorway. I couldn't take sandwiches as I was on my way home. I usually take something to eat when I am going a long way as the service stations are so expensive.
I couldn't believe the price of fuel at the services. I am always surprised when I see people buying fuel there. Either they have no choice, ie about to run out, or their employer is paying.

Cagliostro · 29/05/2016 01:41

I did read that foot pain when weight bearing can be a sign of RA. I think given the hand pain as well you should see a GP and ask for blood tests to check for rheumatoid factor (or whatever it's called). Worth ruling out at least. Thanks

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/05/2016 07:20

Definitely worth your dr checking you with a family history like that audit. Is it both feet? RhA is symmetrical.

AuditAngel · 29/05/2016 07:29

Fluffy my hands are certainly bearing that out. Index finger on both hands. DS has realised that putting his socks on for him (he has always struggled with socks, I buy him a size up to make it easier) is causing me problems and for the last couple of weeks he hasn't asked for help.

Lots of work to do today, the girls' packing is done, mum did her own, DH, DS and I have all got our clothes out. Need to find more underwear for DH (if he would put it in the basket I would wash it, I refuse to pick it up off the floor in our room) and pack stuff. I need to find all the shoes, pack toilettries, towels etc.

Tesco delivery coming later, mostly to get packed to go away. I want to try and pack the roof box today, and het the stuff to go in the car ready to pack early tomorrow. I had planned on packing so D stuff into the Sar today, but my car alarm went off last night. No sign of anyone around, but not sure what else would have set it off.

WreckTangled · 29/05/2016 08:21

Yes audit get to the GP.

Feeling great after 10.5 hours sleep ShockGrin

Nsd planned it's going to be hot so we will be in the garden.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/05/2016 09:19

Hi all Smile

Audit ouch - def get that checked by Gp.

Fluffy Nooooooooooooooo don't tell me that, I bloody love the stuff and it has sorted out my skin. I do love bunnies as well though Sad

Going to see my dad today and take his birthday presents, planning a NSD/LSD that will hopefully involve sitting in his garden and drinking tea Wink

Managed a very cheap night out, £30 between us although that was only the train into town, a few beers and crisps which I suppose makes it quite expensive! It was at one of our very favourite beer places in town and we tried a few new ones so it was a bit of a treat.
Need to get birthday present for friend today.

AuditAngel · 29/05/2016 10:09

Have been using the gel insoles this morning, they seem to be helping. I was hoping to be able to swap them between shoes, but they have to be stuck in. I try not to wear the same shoes on consecutive days (due to stinky feet) so will need to get some more. Am going to try to get just the heel bits if cheaper.

WreckTangled · 29/05/2016 12:05

I'm thinking of going to a spinning class. Im a bit scared though Grin

PurpleRibbons · 29/05/2016 13:35

I've often thought spinning would be good for me as it looks kinder on the knees than running. I'm scared too though!

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/05/2016 13:46

Lots of people do it though. Try it, you don't have to go back.

I'm sanding the hall, stairway and landing walls today. Really wish I hadn't started this.

£20 wickes on paint, masking tape and sand paper.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 29/05/2016 14:29

Audit I have a rule of if its not in washing basket I don't wash it. Dh often runs short on clean undies for this reason

WreckTangled · 29/05/2016 14:47

I'll let you know how it goes! Won't be able to do it next week as half term.

Cheers SmileWine

Haven't caught up properly. But have just made carrot cardoman and rosewater jam. Surprisingly easy and tasty. Sweet but also savoury. Like a chutney marmalade. Maybe for toast or savoury scones. Or maybe with cheese....

Next up - raspberry amoretti and dark chocolate cake.

Today I am channeling my inner nigella. #domesticgoddess

The weather is OK here. Sunny bit windy. So we've thrown all the windows open and are lounging indoors.

CremeEggThief · 29/05/2016 16:11

NSD.

PurpleRibbons · 29/05/2016 17:45

It's unusually quiet here today, I hope that means everyone is enjoying the lovely weather.
Low spend day, £10 on a birthday present and £4 on ice creams in the park. We didn't realise until after we'd handed DD her ice cream that we hadn't packed any baby wipes. I managed to find a tissue in my bag but it was woefully inadequate for getting ice cream off a 2yo!!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/05/2016 17:53

It is quiet on here today, am guessing everyone is enjoying the sunshine Smile

We have had a lovely day, went to see my old man and did sit in his garden drinking tea Grin they also did a roast dinner for us which was a nice surprise. Went for a nice walk afterwards and spent £2 on a bouncy castle thing for dd, thats it though. My shoulder has been really sore again all day, very annoying. Hoping will improve before we go on Tuesday.

WreckTangled · 29/05/2016 18:07

Well after having a few drinks at our local we came back home with bil and I asked him to stay for dinner so ended up using a bit more food than planned but I think it'll be ok.

Dh is working tomorrow so I think I'll go to the wetland centre and use our annual pass for the first time Smile will take a picnic but might need to buy coffee.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/05/2016 18:54

I'm knackered after sanding down the walls. Painting tomorrow.

That'll be fun.

Cagliostro · 29/05/2016 19:00

Still catching up on the thread, but I saw the mention of FROZEN COUSCOUS?! This excites me. I love couscous with veg, but it's only me who eats it and it's a right faff to prepare just one portion - I'd love to bulk cook it and freeze some, how would I reheat though?

PurpleRibbons · 29/05/2016 19:31

I froze some as an experiment and just microwaved it, it was ok but it's so quick to cook anyway I don't think I'd bother unless I'd accidentally cooked too much.
Just about to have cous cous actually with roasted veg and halloumi. Mmmmmmm!

Ememem84 · 29/05/2016 21:32

I've had too much wine and cake.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/05/2016 21:35

That's an oxymoron.

CremeEggThief · 29/05/2016 21:55

How much cake and wine are too much? Especially on a bank holiday weekend?Confused I'm only having 1 large glass of vino, as I ought to keep the half glass that's left for my risotto tomorrow.
