I can't keep up with you people Blush

£3.76 in Holland and Barret, pore strips, chocolate covered raisins and a free kilo of peanuts. Till spat out another voucher for free peanuts Grin good thing DHL likes peanuts. Then I spent £13 on lunch due to erratic teenagers Hmm

We're full of cold but I have supplies.

Cagliostro · 18/04/2016 00:46

Ooh, I love peanuts!

Well done need & co!

Thanks Ipsos we have a drill etc but not sure if we can put things up on the outside wall. There is a tiny, much cheaper indoor alternative that I'll probably get sometime but it won't be nearly so awesome :o [mysterious]

Tesco order done, it's the last week of the saving vouchers - couldn't find the coupon book but remembered the code!

Finding more home ed resources online. It's bloody amazing how much there is out there for free! Was also a little sneaky and signed up for one education website with two different email addresses so as to double my download limit Wink Blush considering persuading DH to do the same

With the apple thing they go off the serial number. So as long as it's apple branded it will be fine. The website is pretty good for fault diagnostic it msy save you the journey to the apple store.
Star wars buying today.

babsmam · 18/04/2016 06:57

Congratulations need DD and pony. 5 am feeds are not funny though. Hope the stables are not too far away for that extra.
Well done on eBay and insurance results

Ememem84 · 18/04/2016 07:00

new Ebay tips:

Schedule listing to end on a Sunday evening - around 830-9pm
Do you have the receipt for the bag?
Dust bag?
Serial number? (There's a website somewhere (can't think of it off the top of my head) where you can type them in and it'll tell you if it's genuine.
Put a reserve price on it.
Take pictures of the serial number.
Offer free postage.
Post signed for/recorded
I also wouldn't over stress how genuine it is she who doth protest too much and all that...

Hoping for nsd today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2016 07:33

I wouldn't sell such a high value item on eBay. Buyers will scam you and eBay and PayPal will take their side.

There must be a way of safely selling such an item.

Ememem84 · 18/04/2016 07:39

fluff I think you're right actually. Don't sell it on eBay unless you are happy with a lower price.

Are there any "designer" charity shops near you/ pre loved shops? There's one near me which splits the sale cost with you. But obviously you have to wait for it to sell.

Colliefeatures · 18/04/2016 09:37

NSD but am looking for a few new bits of clothing. Desperately need jeans, jacket and a jumper!

All our local shops are a bit crap and designed for tall, slim ladies with giant boobs. I'm short with no boobs! Grin

WreckTangled · 18/04/2016 10:00

Same here collie!

Lsd here. Ds has jabs this afternoon so only spend will be on some chocolate stars or something for him afterwards. Have a lemon drizzle cake in the oven first attempt though hope it comes out ok! Have stripped all the beds and will hang it all on the line once the cake is done.

AdoraBell · 18/04/2016 10:12

I saw a feature on BBC about a website for selling designer goods, but I can't remember the name, sorry. I agree with Fluffy, eBay isn't the right place for expensive items.

AdoraBell · 18/04/2016 10:16

Found it

www.hardlyeverwornit.com

Hope that link works

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2016 10:25

60p fish fingers
27p mint sauce.

Flipping love morrisons saver range Blush

Ipsos · 18/04/2016 10:31

Collie what shops do you have that do clothes for tall slim people? I'm twig shaped and find getting clothes really hard.

I just tried doing a tesco order where I only chose things that were under £1 if at all possible. It came out a lot cheaper. I suppose that will work for a while and then suddenly the freezer will empty and it will all rebalance with one huge expensive shop. I'll have a go.

WreckTangled · 18/04/2016 11:43

Sometimes being frugal I get really fed up of boring lunches so I treated myself and bought sesame seed bagels, Philadelphia(own brand) and bacon. Most delicious lunch ever. Or maybe brunch as its still before noon Blush

Colliefeatures · 18/04/2016 11:58

I wish we had Morrison's! Mmmm that bagel sounds so good.

WreckTangled · 18/04/2016 12:06

It was! Plus lemon drizzle for afters. I think I'll try a different recipe next time though.

Off topic, but ds has his place in reception! Was a bit worried as we are 8.5 miles out of catchment, and only get by on sibling thing. Plus the year will be rammed, nursery has swelled to 29! Was 15 after Christmas. Such a relief.

fluffy I shop at morrisons a lot, tend to buy their own brand, is their saver brand about as good?

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 18/04/2016 12:14

Best ever lemon cake is the one in Raymond Blanc's kitchen secrets book. Not quite drizzle, but just the best ever. Want cake now... have lemons in the fridge.

I must not eat cake.

Mrscog · 18/04/2016 12:16

Hi everyone, did not do so well over the weekend - spent £12 more than I meant to at Waitrose, because I had DS1 with me on his own (we normally have DS2 being wild as well) and he was so well behaved and sweet and enjoying doing the 'scan as you shop' that I allowed a few extra treats in the trolley!

Then, yesterday was meant to be a NSD, but I ended up spending £22 on Amazon because I needed a £2.99 add on item for DS1's birthday cake. However I added on a garden fork which is something we really needed and would have possibly ended up buying anyway, so I shouldn't feel too bad.

So, on to today - aiming to just spend £1 on a snack from the work canteen (brought most food with me).

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2016 12:19

I've never had a bad savers product. Lots of rumours on moneysavingexpert forum that it's normal own brand in saver packaging. At least you won't have to do two school runs like Lucsy has been doing.

Life's too short to avoid cake.

SpaceKablooie · 18/04/2016 12:19

Okay, I've listed a few things on eBay Smile. And I have lots more to list too - I'll probably do another batch this week.

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/04/2016 12:27

I tell a lie, I didn't like the teabags.

Sainsburys SMARTPRICE tea is nice though.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 18/04/2016 13:00

I can't do any value tea but Sainsbury red label and aldi red label are both v good.

We have roast chicken tonight will use half chicken then tomorrow or wed night will have it with daphonise potatoes (aldi ready made from chiller) as quick after work dinner boys dont like/can't have the pots but on work days have a snack as eaten at nursery/childminders.

Cagliostro · 18/04/2016 13:03

Thank you for the iPod advice. We have an Apple store (or is it an iStore? Is there even a difference, I've never set foot in either Confused) but will definitely see if I can find out more online first. I've no excuse for not doing it earlier TBH, I just left it on the counter for months and silently grieved for the games I'm really missing Blush

Also, printing - does anyone do this printer subscription thing where you pay monthly and get basically unlimited printing, and they send you ink etc?

We have a regular wireless printer, but it's sat unused for a really long time as the ink kept running out so quickly (despite minimal use) and it was so expensive! So we've been getting by with the odd trip to the library as you can get free homework printing on some afternoons. But obviously with home ed we are wanting more and more printing now. Not sure what the least expensive option is!

I like my laser printer. I buy the toner on eBay. The last one was a genuine brother part for under £10.
