Hmm there's a job going at dd's school. Term job job would be amazing but I do love my job. Pay is crap though. Hmm

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/04/2016 15:50

Spends.

£4.20 swimming (did 30 lengths Halo )
£13.20 on food in Morrisons, mostly on things that were on offer and that I had forgotten to add to the online shop!
£1.20 local paper
£134 to settle the bill at the vets (insurance had already given me the money so thats o.kay)
30p sweets for dd.

Not got an awful lot planned this wend, dd very happy about getting Monday off!

needastrongone · 29/04/2016 16:54

Evening, hope you are all ok. I'm flagging a bit, and away this weekend again.... I'll be fine with wine, caffeine and a night sleep.

Glad you are ok Cag, no internet would appear to me to be a Serious Life Crisis Grin

Good swimming there girlie, polish your halo and eat donuts all weekend!

Wrecked I have a friend that works term time, she actually finds it very inflexible. Especially given doctors appointments, after school clubs etc.

Spends today

£20 M&S, food for the weekend.
£6 DD training.
£6 DS Karate.
£66 diesel for the horse box, less than I thought.

We are having beef stir fry for tea, I've prepped it all, DH can cook when he gets in, I need to sit down and do nothing tonight.

I am not going AWOL if I don't post, just away again in the morning. It's a shame really as the Tour de Yorkshire is passing through tomorrow and the village is making a big deal of it. The place looks lovely, there's bunting everywhere and bikes hanging from all kinds of places, the school has tons of scarecrows and the like out. Our street is having a street party and the whole village is having a fun fair.

WreckTangled · 29/04/2016 17:01

needs its three days a week 8:30-3:30 so I would assume that any appointments I need I would be able to make in the two days I didn't work or in holiday time. I'm getting ahead of myself though I don't even know if I want to apply.

CremeEggThief · 29/04/2016 17:34

NSD.

Ipsos · 29/04/2016 17:42

HI Creme, we're still at the same school but we have a new head. She seems very nice so far. :-) Sorry to hear about all you've had to deal with. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense that chronic fatigue could results from just going through more stress and work and hassle than a person is built to cope with .

Well done for phoning ACAS Cag. :-)

I've had a good and non-spendy day. I'm still building this climbing frame, which is quite a job, but enjoyable.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/04/2016 17:43

£4 on sausages but will get £1.90 back on shopitize. Dh has signed up.
£10 on petrol.

Well done cag

PurpleRibbons · 29/04/2016 20:16

Almost a NSD but DH went to get cat food and bought some beer to go with it! (for us, not the cat!).

WreckTangled · 29/04/2016 20:20

Lsd. £1.50 on a good luck card for one of the physios who comes into work. She's leaving and I really liked her.

Strange thing has happened dh just received a letter from Barclays thanking him for his previous letter and apologising that we're not happy with the decision re the packaged bank account and they will reopen the case?! We didn't send any letters though Confused

Comeonmommy · 29/04/2016 20:47

Creme - I have ME as well as Chronic Pain - it's s bugger isn't it!!!!

Bad week for spending this week as we bought another car!!!!!

My shopping bill has gone down since I've been paying attention and apart from 2 birthday pressies I am thinking there is nothing for us to buy....will see how that goes!!

beesarethebest · 29/04/2016 20:57

£20 dinner with friend I've not seen for long time. £30 train to London. Great meetings had. Feeling v positive about new place!

Ememem84 · 29/04/2016 21:23

Finished work until 10 May! Or have finished being in the office at least. On Sunday I head to Jerusalem. Or J-Town as I'm terming it. (Probably not appropriate....).

Off to visit the church of the holy sephulcher (sp?) and the wailing wall (whale in the wall...) on Tuesday. Super excited nervous scared excited!! Eeek. Am strangely calm about the flight.... Must be growing up.

Drinks with Dh this evening. Then dinner at Sri Lankan curry house. Yum.

Tomorrow will be packing riding packing and mani pedi.

blueteapot · 29/04/2016 22:02

2800rpm is amazing! Our washing machine does 1600 and I thought that was good. How much are they to buy?

What I wouldnt give for a sri lankan curry Em. Nothing so exciting available locally! Enjoy your trip. Ditto Need, enjoy yours.

Wreck i always imagine I would love a term time only school based job. This is in the fantasy land in my head where I change career lol. Worth considering!

Today I got DD new shoes in the clarks sale as shes gone up a size, and DS a pair of sandles - came to £40 but had that exactly in vouchers from their birthdays so free :) then in boots got a few bits for upcoming holiday (UV suits for them etc) - came to £39 and then I used a £5 off voucher. Got DD a brand new light summer coat in local kids charity shop for £2.99. DM bought us a coffee out. Was pleased with everything we got today for total spend of £37. DD is now completely sorted holiday wise and DS just needs a few little bits. DH and I on the other hand... Blush dont even know where to start!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 29/04/2016 22:13

Just spent £40 on Amazon, got my nephews bday present and something for my sil, have lots of bdays in June so trying to get organised now. Also got myself 2 books as need something new to read!

Have a fantastic trip Em it sounds brilliant.

Need hope you are o.kay and not burning yourself out

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 29/04/2016 22:46

need watching bike races are a bit of an anticlimax, tour of Britain came past us (stage that finished up Hartside) and everyone was out, they were all a bit "was that it?" !! Dp and his club pedalled up to the finish after they'd passed us (the shorter route), I wanted to go too but ds started nursery that week...still a bit bummed about it!

blue fluffy pointed me to ebay for the spinner, mine was £20 buy it now. AO and amazon about £115 new.

Decided to have a Maccy-D's for tea as dd3 won't touch spicy chilli (got my meal plan days wrong) so will make that tonight for tomorrow when they've eaten at my parents. Dp paid (as I'd left my purse).

Has anyone had any dealings with a Maine Coon cat?? Dp the pet collector has set his heart on one.

IdStillRatherBeKnitting · 29/04/2016 22:48

I think I'll go for it and only worry if I get offered the job. blue term time only NHS sounds great Wink I've just taken over the drug monitoring les and IFG patients admin and I'm really enjoying it, still only on minimum wage though which is shit because I'm doing such a good job (even if I do say so myself Grin).

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 30/04/2016 09:46

knitting no direct experience but from what I have heard they are great characters , they are massive though!!

Have just enjoyed a lush breakfast of bacon and eggs, am now sat in my dressing gown listening to sound of the 60s Grin I know how to live Wink

Quiet day planned, dd has riding but my mum has paid, no other spends planned...

WreckTangled · 30/04/2016 10:31

Dh is treating us to McDonalds breakfast. I've never had one before!

SpaceKablooie · 30/04/2016 11:11

I'm getting a KitchenAid today, I'm
so excited that I even started a thread about it Grin. They're reduced in Lakeland at the moment.

blueteapot · 30/04/2016 11:33

Ooh space! What colour?

Girlie dressing gown days are the best :)

Today /tomorrow is normally grocery shopping but I think we've got away with it this week for another few days at least. Just made quesidillas (not that they are in any way like the real thing but quick and tasty!). DS and I made cupcakes this morning (jam and coconut) and are about to have a go at making baked tortillas from the left over wraps... today is going to be a cooking day I think (DH is working and we have no car!)

blueteapot · 30/04/2016 11:35

Knitting lovely fire! We just have an normal open fire but you have inspired me to clean it out so we can light it later :)
