Hi All,
Taking the liberty of starting a new thread, as I went to post spends on the old one and it's full.

We had a lovely day out at the seaside and visited an old lighthouse as part of it. As we rely on public transport, that's always a big part of our days out spend.
£9.60 bus fares.
£9.60 train fares (with the family railcard).
£6 lunch from Sainsburys ( £3 meal deal each).
£4.50 entrance to the lighthouse.
£7.10 coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in a café afterwards.

Oh and DS needed a haircut, which I think was £6.50.

wreck, re tcb I've had problems with things not tracking due to having adblocker set up on the PC. I now always. Make any transactions on the ipad and haven't had any more problems.

Cagliostro · 10/04/2016 10:09

I have a lot of catching up to do! Not been online so much the last few days. Real Life took over Shock

Need gosh that's horrible to see, poor pony :(

Ipsos yay glad you enjoyed Mathmagic Land! I love it so much.

Spends:

Friday:
£7.20 bus
£1 DH bought new reading glasses
£11.19 Co-op - lazy dinner and snacks, I was worn out by the time we left a friend's house

Saturday:
£4.90 bus
£12 board game (it's brilliant, and £35 elsewhere)
£2 DCs' pocket money
£28.50 dancing - that's a month's fee, annual membership and exam fee
£13.85 took DCs to ice cream parlour with a friend - it was dangerously delicious

Colliefeatures · 10/04/2016 10:49

Spent £8 at Wickes! And £10 in Tesco.

Such a horrible day here. Heavy rain and the wind has blown the garden to bits!

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 10/04/2016 10:55

My mum wants to do a food shop. I've decided to clear out fridge and see what we've already got.. I've cleaned and organised it. I get OCD really badly when cleaning things properly.

We also have a few onions left over (8 in total) so I'm currently dicing them and putting them in the freezer so they're readily available. I'm not enjoying the watery eyes though. I tend to do this with a lot of fresh vegetables when I find I'm bored lol.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 10/04/2016 10:57

We're also going away Friday till Monday. Will write out a list of what will be needed and what we've already got etc. And pack those early.

Ememem84 · 10/04/2016 11:16

Great idea dont.

I'm doing some decluttering and cleaning today. Didn't quite get it done yesterday.

Dh has lost his car keys again so we need to find them. I've had to lend him mine and don't trust him not to lose them (second time in a week his have gone missing).

will sift out more eBay/charity shop items today.

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/04/2016 12:45

Em Put them on a dummy key ring. Car keys are not cheap to replace.

North It wasn't me suggested it.

Whatabout Good for you. £200 is not to be sniffed at.

£32 on a BBQ chimney fire starter, tongs & two heat proof gloves off John Lewis. 3% cashback off Kidstart. The chimneys mean you don't need fire lighters or starter fuel. Plus they look really fun on YouTube.

I have £85 in refunds coming next week so I haven't actually spent too much it just feels weird to buy stuff.

I've not had a BBQ before & relatives all have gas ones which is cheating.

Found out you can use pizza stones on bbqs & hot smoke food. I need a pizza stone now & skewers and I'm set.

And Lumpwood charcoal Obvs.

Ememem84 · 10/04/2016 12:52

fluffy. This is the second time in a week. They're the clicker ones too. So probably about £200 to replace. I'm angry because he's so careless. And also because he has to now borrow my keys.

I have a feeling they've probably ended up in the bin. Or in the wash. Sigh.

Freezer is defrosting. I've borrowed dms food processor and made breadcrumbs. And have sorted a few more things for eBay.

Two loads of washing have been done and are hanging up in the spare room with windows open to dry (I hate having no outside space!!!!).

Ememem84 · 10/04/2016 14:18

Just sold my Nintendo wii on Fb. Was listed for £50 but have accepted £40. Yippee.

And have listed my sky box. We don't have sky anymore so no point keeping the box...

babsmam · 10/04/2016 15:53

Check your all out you set of busy bees.

I was quite restrained today as could have spent a fortune at good food show but didn't. £50 tops.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 10/04/2016 15:56

I've just been shopping with the DM.. I think we've enough food to last us the whole month plus more... now it will just be top up shops each week.

I picked up some bits and bobs in home bargains.. personal care bits etc. Spent just under £19.

WreckTangled · 10/04/2016 15:58

£12 on my sisters birthday present. It was in Feb Blush

My sister always texts me a photo of any small shops she has done (it started about a year ago when she sent it and said 'guess how much this lot just cost me as she thought it was loads) anyway I always get it right within £1 Grin I like to think it's thanks to this thread making me look at he price of everything!

Ememem84 · 10/04/2016 16:35

£1.12 on milk. We walked to the shops. Our nearest one is 30 minutes away walking.

Freezer has been defrosted. Dh is meal planning.

We still haven't found his keys. Angry

Ipsos · 10/04/2016 16:42

Bees The books I was selling were all pretty obscure. It was things like old tourist guides of tenerife from a student trip I went on. They only wanted the quite unusual ones. All my good, well written interesting books were rejected. I got £100 for two piles of books, each about a foot high.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/04/2016 16:56

Hello all, we have had a nice NSD!

Went to church this morning as a friends daughter was having a dedication (bit like a christening but less formal!) Was nice, we are not really very religious but I always enjoy church when we go!

Then hung out my mums all afternoon Grin she rustled up a nice lunch for us. Need to think about dinner now but having a little sit down first Wink

You lot are inspiring me to have another go at selling dds clothes, I did put some on recently but they didn't sell. Probably is worth preserving though!

WreckTangled · 10/04/2016 17:07

Girlie do them on a ten day listing starting on a Thursday evening (so ending a Sunday evening) between 8-10pm. I used to work for a company with three eBay shops. Don't worry if the title doesn't make sense it just needs to have words that people will search. Eg people won't search 'lovely/pretty/cool' they will search age, gender, brand, item, season etc.

Dinner is chicken and chorizo casserole with couscous. I put it in the slow cooker this morning so might have it in a bit as the dc are getting hungry. Dh is still at work.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 10/04/2016 17:07

I treated me and my mum to sirloin steak at shopping which was yellow stickers! £3 down from £8... I'm going to cook it later on with some onion mash.

I'm also going to make up my own cheese and onion sandwich mix.. I always buy the m&s ones when at work... They're lush!!

PurpleRibbons · 10/04/2016 17:42

NSD hooray!! Had a lovely afternoon at the park, 2 loads of washing dried on the line and making a roast (DH is having meat) with odd veggies out of the fridge - found half a swede, 1 carrot, some broccoli and half a butternut squash. Plus a nut cutlet out of the freezer for me. Feeling very frugal!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/04/2016 18:09

Can i have your top tips for getting the electric bill down a bit please!

Have just submitted my meter readings and my usage is still pretty high, I have turned off all but one of the storage heaters and turned that one down (weather is still pretty cold annoyingly) obv try and turn lights off, don't over fill kettle etc but is there anything else I'm missing?

babsmam · 10/04/2016 18:11

Anything on standby girlie? Tumble dryer, iron etc are pretty high usage. Turn off chargers when finished as they still take units. Will think on..

Fluffycloudland77 · 10/04/2016 18:16

Does the new house have mains gas Girlie?

WreckTangled · 10/04/2016 18:17

We got ours down by only switching the hot water on for a couple of hours every few days. We've got a massive tank that was heating up over night. We also turn absolutely everything off at the switch.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 10/04/2016 18:21

Girlie turn everything off at socket.

We had toad in hole for dinner made dairy free batter and was OK didn't rise as much but was perfectly nice (100gms flour, 300ml water, 2medium eggs)

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 10/04/2016 18:34

I'm currently pampering myself! Found a hair dye I bought ages ago and whacked it on.. Going to wax my own eyebrows too to make them last a bit longer (usually get them waxed but they grow back so quick! Damn being dark haired). Will most likely do DM hair dye later too. I'm on a roll today!

dementedma · 10/04/2016 18:39

Had to take out pet insurance on our new rescue cat and got £35 back by using top cash back
