Hi All,
Taking the liberty of starting a new thread, as I went to post spends on the old one and it's full.

We had a lovely day out at the seaside and visited an old lighthouse as part of it. As we rely on public transport, that's always a big part of our days out spend.
£9.60 bus fares.
£9.60 train fares (with the family railcard).
£6 lunch from Sainsburys ( £3 meal deal each).
£4.50 entrance to the lighthouse.
£7.10 coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in a café afterwards.

Oh and DS needed a haircut, which I think was £6.50.

Grin

Greetings from freezing Wales, took 3.5 hours to get here yesterday in the horse box . Just about to get up and put the heater on. The ground is so flooded it's only hard standing and its chaos. My friends lorries are stuck and I am parked right outside the bar which was open until until 1am. DD and me had a big row last night. Ha the joys!

Glad you had a lovely time adora

em maybe you should use the courier firm more often, that way you get to travel the worldGrin

NSD

babsmam · 09/04/2016 07:15

Gosh em that is busy
Whoever was saying about services just say you need a manufacturer warranty service when you book it in and the garage should do the rest. Make sure you take the book for a stamp. There was a hoohar a few years ago about lack of competition from dealers do they are no longer supposed to insist you use then for services, if memory serves

needastrongone · 09/04/2016 07:18

Lucksy, I didn't take my kids camping because I did not want to, balls to what others think, what does that even matter?. Take no notice, I am sure, 100% sure you are a super Mum. Smile

Camping is wet and horrible this time of year anyway!! You are the sensible one!

lilacclery · 09/04/2016 07:49

Lucsy delighted for you with your couch success.
Those people are wallys! You are brilliant to your dc.

PurpleRibbons · 09/04/2016 07:53

That's great about your sofa Lucsy.
Have a lot of flat packing to do today, it's going to be a loooong day!
Going to get a supermarket takeaway for dinner as a cheaper alternative to an actual takeaway.

Right, low / mid spendy day here! DH needs a hair cut. He has Lego man hair Grin We need some housey bits and more storage for various crap.

Sainsbury's shop arrived last night. No subs! Yay! We don't have Morrison's or Ocado. Sad

Colliefeatures · 09/04/2016 08:39

Good luck with your packing today Purple

Need oh that sounds so stressful! You have my sympathies. We've been stuck in a field in a big vehicle and needed a tracked tractor to rescue us! Haha! GrinBrew

Colliefeatures · 09/04/2016 08:43

Arghh sorry for the seperate posts! Blush I know it's annoying as it fills up the thread quicker. But:

Fluffy Ive had the best response from BT already! On a Saturday! Thank you so so so much for the email address. Flowers

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2016 08:51

You're welcome!

What did they say though?

needastrongone · 09/04/2016 08:59

The tractor was on call last night collie, my lorry is lighter than the other so 3 big burly Welsh blokes pushed me outGrinI bought them a beer in the bar later, they were so lovely! My friend was towed out earlier and my other friend is still stuck at a precarious angle!

Ironically it's clear and sunny and warm now..

needastrongone · 09/04/2016 09:07

babs I'll wave back anywaySmile

WreckTangled · 09/04/2016 09:23

I'm so pissed off. Just spent £70 in lidl and have no meal plans the dc are just so fucking annoying when we go food shopping and so naughty. Guess what? Dh isn't even working today but he wanted to get his hair cut. I suggested we take one dc each but oh no, apparently the barbers is no place for children. I've got a splitting headache and the dc won't shut up AngrySad

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2016 09:42

I took out a shepherds freindly stocks and shares isa yesterday, the cashbacks tracked at £94.50 so I've done a price match claim for £100 as quidco is offering a higher rate.

DontLetMeLetYouGo · 09/04/2016 10:03

My mission this next week is to find a good service deal then. Does anyone know roughly a good price to pay? And questions I should ask lol. It it makes any difference I have a vauxhall. I despise the place I got it from though.

Not sure what we are doing today. Waiting for Ds to come back from a sleepover. I wad pondering whether to do an Aldi shop (I get everything for under 40 pounds).

However my mum wants to do a morrisons one because she gets an extra 10000 points on her match and more card (think that's two £5 vouchers) when she spends £80 or more........

WreckTangled · 09/04/2016 10:03

A lot of it was frozen actually I didn't need much fresh. Sorry for the rant but it was either that or I would cry.

Fluffy that's great what are the terms?

babsmam · 09/04/2016 10:16

Wreck I feel your pain, supermarket and dc don't mix. I would want to punch dh if he said that cos clearly supermarkets are ideal for kids.
Don't is it a major or interim service (your book should tell you) that will drive the cost as more is done on a major service. I can't remember how much they are as mine are done by an ex mechanic now the car is older. £150 and £300 spring to mind but I may be waayyy out. Why not ring Vauxhall for a price as your benchmark?

babsmam · 09/04/2016 10:18

Thank heaven for burly blokes need.
Good deal fluffy.
Collie I too am a multiple poster and feel slightly guilty for it but my memory is shit

Ememem84 · 09/04/2016 10:36

Just got myself out of bed. Dh made me tea and bacon on crumpets. He is a legend.

Yesterday was horrible. Far too much travel for one day. I usually don't mine London day trips. But that's because I usually get to talk to people and maybe get a nice lunch. Not a 4 hour round trip. Sigh.

spends today £25 riding. I'm borrowing dms food processor things as am defrosting my freezer. And want to make breadcrumbs from the ends of about 50 loaves which appear to have been hiding in there.

Other than riding. Nsd. Have house chores to get done. The weather is ok so we might venture out for a walk.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2016 10:39

wreck

Pay in £30 a month DD, get CB, withdraw isa fund fee free. Close isa.

dont what kind of service is it? The service book should tell you which is due.

WreckTangled · 09/04/2016 10:41

Fluffy is there a minimum amount of time you have to pay it in for?

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/04/2016 10:55

I think it's 3 months, I'll pay in until the CB is paid out. Then I'll withdraw.

WreckTangled · 09/04/2016 11:18

Thanks fluffy I've done it. It said 120 days for payment but that's fine. Who can say no to free money?!
