Haven't been on the old thread for a few days so thought I'd start a new thread as it's nearly full.

Oh no crème. There is loads of sirens round her so I image its similar. It's raining now. Stay safe crème

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/12/2015 17:00

Welcome Allguns.

I would love an indian takeaway.

Unescorted · 12/12/2015 17:06

creme and babs keep safe & warm. It is still raining here... so we recreated summer with a victoria sponge and bunting.

Hi AllGuns

Toad in the hole for dinner here. If I can be bothered to pour myself from the sofa.

ipsos · 12/12/2015 17:08

We went into town shopping today and it was oddly quite reasonable. I think people have decided it's too close to Christmas to safely go shopping and may be starting to stay at home.

Badders123 · 12/12/2015 17:12

I am still here lurking trying to block out how much I have spent on xmas!
I think I will need you all in January to keep me on the straight and narrow....
We are out for xmas day lunch then I have 12-15 people here for boxing day but have £50 in co op vouchers to buy the food for that.
I need to step away from Amazon!

Allgunsblazing · 12/12/2015 17:23

Thank you all for the kind welcome.
I've just chucked everything that I kept for when I lose the stone I gained. And everything that is 'ok'-ish, anything I did just tolerated. Not worth selling, trust me, I've had most of them for about 10 years.
I've spent £19 enrolling me and DD on the Swimathon next year.
And £30 on a pair of slippers and dressing gown for MIL (M&S did 30% off).
I am getting a Kindle for christmas, so I'll start culling books in the new year :)

Ememem84 · 12/12/2015 17:24

lilac it is awful. I say kid but the guy is 17. No less sad though. There haven't been any sightings now for a few days. It's awful for the family.

creme and babs stay safe.

Whataboutreindeer · 12/12/2015 17:26

Ipsos we went into the next town to pick up our Santa shits and race numbers for our Santa run tomorrow and it was very reasonable there too. We were commenting on how strange it seemed!

£11 in Aldi on bits and the requisite radio times :-)

Girlfriend36 · 12/12/2015 17:27

Hi all, welcome newbies Xmas Smile

So spent £7.50 on seeing Santa at the garden centre, was a whole experience though included a nice toy. Spent £5 in the coffee shop. Dd was complaining of feeling sick so came home early, hoping she is o.kay as still saying she feels sick.

fuzzpig · 12/12/2015 17:27

we went into the next town to pick up our Santa shits

hope you were wearing gloves [santa]

Girlfriend36 · 12/12/2015 17:27

needastrongone · 12/12/2015 17:28

Yes girlie, they are reindeer droppings Xmas Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 12/12/2015 17:34

Grin glad I don't have to pick up Santa shits.

Dh is being a twat. He said (after saying he would pay) I would have to use the joint account for the Indian. I said no we don't have any spare money in it and he said 'well I can pay but it just means you'll get one less Christmas present'. Nob. We aren't getting on very well atm Blush

babsmam · 12/12/2015 17:34

Santa shits Xmas Grin

babsmam · 12/12/2015 17:34

Oh no spotty [hugs]]]

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/12/2015 17:37

It's christmas spotty, a lot of people are stressed out.

fuzzpig · 12/12/2015 17:43

What a meanie, Spotty!

fuzzpig · 12/12/2015 17:44

Him I mean, not you

Whataboutreindeer · 12/12/2015 18:08

Suits! Santa suits! Bah I give up on my typing.

Spotty what a meanie. Coal for his stocking.

Pointlessfan · 12/12/2015 18:09

Love the reindeer picture!
Very spendy day today but I had a bit of luck. Had a massage this morning, I already had a £10 voucher but then they had a fuse blow during it. Didn't affect me really except the relaxing music went off, I wouldn't have dreamt of complaining but they knocked off another 15%.
Also spent £30 on two more Xmas gifts, £3 parking and £6 on soft play and a drink. Going out for food on Monday and work Xmas do next week too so really need some NSDs. Starting to feel slightly panicky about money despite Xmas savings. DH should be getting a pay rise this month but they haven't told him how much, it might just be £20 or something! Already thinking about frugal aims for 2016.

colliepirate · 12/12/2015 18:51

I was reading the thread thinking "Santa shits? What the heck!" Santa suits!! Xmas Grin

spotty Hope you guys sort it out.

I made pizza dough earlier so having a huge homemade pizza for tea. DH and I are going to watch a bit of TV then play Xbox Trivial Pursuit Xmas Grin we haven't played it for years and we always have such a laugh!

ipsos · 12/12/2015 19:04

Is anybody else stressing about the last week of term? Ds has nativity play and carol concert and class party and class Christmas lunch and we've already had the Christmas fair. I wish we could just get snow a foot deep and shut the school for the whole last week of term. Then we could still go and see all the kids, but just play in the snow for the whole week, instead of having all this "organised fun" tortuous social tension.

CremeEggThief · 12/12/2015 19:16

One event/day at a time, ipsos. No wonder you're overwhelmed if you think of it altogether. Brew

SpottyTeacakes · 12/12/2015 19:25

Yes ipsos! Dd has had Christmas fair, four performances of her play, next week she has panto, christingle, Christmas lunch and ds has his nativity and Christmas party. Oh and it's dh's birthday! I'm feeling ok about it though thanks to the pills

Zazedonia · 12/12/2015 19:29

I've now spent so much money over the past few months on picking up cheap but nice presents from charity shops that I might as well just have blown it on something really extravagant !!
