Haven't been on the old thread for a few days so thought I'd start a new thread as it's nearly full.

Ah, ok, thank you re the biopsy information. They gave him antibiotics and paracetamol fluffy

We take it in turns to host various parties throughout the year, we do New Year quite often, but others do other events. Village life eh?!

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/12/2015 22:32

I could be wrong though. I got co-codamol 30/500, tramadol, paracetamol and 400mg after a minor gynae op.

Does his post op leaflet say no ibuprofen?.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2015 06:48

Thanks fluffy I'll speak to my dentist.

That's interesting about the biopsies. I can't imagine how stressful it is for you all need Thanks

I think dd might be getting a chest infection. She has asthma, has been coughing all night and is crying that her chest hurts when she coughs and breathes deeply. She's quite wheezy. I never know when to get it checked out or how long to leave it.

Anyway we are thinking of going to the garden centre soft play today which is pretty cheap and dh will pay.

Ipsos · 20/12/2015 07:26

Hi need, I just had a dig for information on what they do with biopsies and this pdf is really helpful:

www.cancer.org/acs/groups/cid/documents/webcontent/003185-pdf.pdf

Page9: What do doctors look for in biopsy and cytology
specimens?

Ipsos · 20/12/2015 07:30

I used to be a molecular biology bench scientist and did a lot of the kinds of test described in that pdf. If I can help with information about any of it then please do ask.

babsmam · 20/12/2015 07:40

These is a Christmas event on at the local pub today so might go there. Overspnt on the panto as they didn't want the snacks I bought they wanted the over priced stuff.

Need if he is sore can you ring the ward and see if they will prescribe anything else?

I love scientific stuff

colliepirate · 20/12/2015 08:20

Our new NT memberships have arrived yesterday. So that's what we are doing today! Also have to pick up DSs new clothes that I ordered from Next. I read that Next will be having their online VIP sale soon though. Hoping I didn't pay full price for stuff that's going to be reduced.

Bought a DVD last night from Amazon for £3.47. It's for one of the presents that needed bulking out. So thats really good and it'll be here for Tuesday.

Must get wrapping paper today. I want it all finished now! Xmas Grin

Ememem84 · 20/12/2015 08:26

Work party last night. Far too much to drink too much dancing.

Had my hair coloured yesterday. The colour didn't take so am going back again on Tuesday to see if they can fix it. It doesn't look bad. But not what I wanted. Wasn't charged for yesterday though.

babsmam · 20/12/2015 08:49

Llanhydroch by any chance collie?

A good dance is fab though em.

Ursulatodd · 20/12/2015 09:19

Morning everyone Smile more spending on building work but other than that a NSD yesterday. Christmas has started for us with Round 1 at PIL's house. Lazing around followed by roast beef today!

On an aside...I'm sitting here with DD at the table. She's eating porridge and watching Milkshake on C5. Recently she's watched this more than CBeebies. She has just repeated word for word an advert for aqua beads Confused I wasn't even aware she knew what aqua beads were. Advertising = unrealistic expectations of what Father Christmas may bring!

Need I hope your husband is feeling comfortable this morning and is managing to take it easy.

Spotty, my mum is currently having some cosmetic dental work done...much more expensive and complicated when you're in your 60s so if it's something you think you will definitely have done at some point, it may be more frugal to get it done sooner rather than later Wink

colliepirate · 20/12/2015 09:21

Haha babs yep! Love it there. The woodland walks are beautiful too.

Received my Next VIP slot and looked at the preview of what's in the sale. Everything I bought DS on Friday is half price! I'm going to call Next and tell them to cancel my order and I'll re-order the items on Tuesday when the sale starts!

Whataboutreindeer · 20/12/2015 09:34

Collie did you get a message about the next sale? I've just logged in and booked a slot but no message at all :-( I've got 5pm on 22nd and don't know if it's rubbish.

Ememem84 · 20/12/2015 09:48

Update from me. Was paid yesterday instead of tomorrow. No idea why. But hey ho.

Spent £32 on petrol which will probably last us about a month (small island - we don't use much!)

£42 on hair - was charged for just a cut and blow dry. Will pay for the colour on Tuesday when it gets redone, if it works. Remembered yesterday that I had a voucher for hair. So it'll be £60 less.

And £20 drinks kitty for works party.

During party was asked to choose an envelope from my boss. He had one for every person in attendance. Red for staff. Green for partners. Lucky dip style. My envelope contained a voucher for local department store £200. Dhs was for 6 bottles of prosecco. So chuffed. V generous.

Too much drinking dancing and McDonald's on the way home.

Today am looking at bank accounts and am squirrelling money away for the inevitable January slump.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 20/12/2015 09:54

Can I join you all for Christmas week? - I think a bit of festive frugaleering is just what i need Xmas Smile

Hopefully a LSD today as going to my Quaker Meeting this morning whilst DH and DC at home (might put £2 in the box) Then I'm hoping to get DC to do a few Christmas cards to their Aunties, Uncles and DGP's to get last Christmas post tomorrow (is first class mind you - is that allowed on here - just a few)

Possible they could make a start on them whilst I'm out but think that's maybe in another universe Xmas Grin

Ememem84 · 20/12/2015 09:57

Hi juggling don't just join for Christmas....

Ipsos · 20/12/2015 10:02

That's one heck of a job you have em.

I didn't get a Next VIP sale invitation. Ratso.

Pointlessfan · 20/12/2015 10:05

Hi juggling!
Frugal fail that I'm cross about. Bought DD summer clothes for next year in the sales. Just looked at them and they are already too small. They say 2-3 on the labels but the trousers are too short already and she isn't two yet. Think I'll just pass them on to a friend with a baby!
Isn't it a lovely day? Park later.

Ipsos · 20/12/2015 10:06

Welcome juggling

Ememem84 · 20/12/2015 10:23

ipsos I was surprised at the generosity.

Last year I was in a job where I worked silly hours and was treated as just a number. It's nice to be appreciated. The bosses actually said thank you almost fainted

Ememem84 · 20/12/2015 10:26

Am planning on using voucher to buy some lovely clothes from Oasis. Couldn't justify replacing clothes before. Now I can. but will wait for sales in January

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2015 10:32

Welcome juggling

Wow em that's so cool!

MrsDeathOfRats · 20/12/2015 10:51

Hi Juggling I'm relatively new too!

Lsd today. Just £1.30 on some icing sugar.
Making some Christmas biscuits for friends with dd and found my baking cupboard was without icing sugar!!

Will catch up on thread shortly, been mega busy the last 2 days!

SpottyTeacakes · 20/12/2015 10:53

£13.50 on a bloody chocolate coin maker for dd as she's convinced Father Christmas is getting her one (he wasn't going to). Cheapest I've seen it anywhere. Had asked bil to get it but as ever I'll give him a suggestion as requested and he will get something different Hmm

colliepirate · 20/12/2015 10:58

Yeah I got an email & a text!

The earliest I got was the same as yours what I think it's fine & pretty early. Make a note of what you want before the sales start though. Last time I spent so much browsing that the stuff was selling out at the same time. Fail!

Welcome juggling :)

Ememem84 · 20/12/2015 11:03

spotty you know this will be the year Bil listens to your suggestion....
