Pleased to hear that lilac 😁

Pointlessfan · 08/12/2015 12:26

That's meant to be a smiley face, not sure what happened!

Colliejollychristmas · 08/12/2015 13:02

pointless that smiley face made me laugh so much!

I've been feeling so low and lonely today. Most of my friends have moved away in the last year. Miss them all!

Ememem84 · 08/12/2015 13:05

£15 refunded to my cc today. Returned a book to waterstones.

Now tv has arrived I think. Dh will be happy

Pointlessfan · 08/12/2015 13:06

collie, just for you 😁😁😁

CremeEggThief · 08/12/2015 13:57

CollieXmas Sad. But at least you have us. Chocolate

lilacclery · 08/12/2015 14:01

Started wrapping last night, ran out of wrapping paper and the rest of it was in our room and attic, dh was asleep for work in our room and ds asleep in room leading to attic so couldn't continue!

We have a mouse, so I may or not have wrapping paper to use in the attic I guess!!

SpottyTeacakes · 08/12/2015 14:29

Rubbish collie. Shame you're not closer.

Spent so much but that's my Christmas shopping FINISHED!

£3.60parking thieves
£8 mothercare present for best friends baby
£4.50 pound land on chocolate for dh for Christmas
£10 something in Costa Blush
£25.96 in hmv one cd for me one for dh from the dc for his birthday
£59.98 in super dry on two tops for dh for Christmas
£5 something in boots but used points so I'm not counting it.
I think that's it!

Went into natwest to pay a cheque into ds' account and the man gave me an advent calendar for each dc which I thought was nice!

SpottyTeacakes · 08/12/2015 14:30

Oh and £1 in the bucket for the donkey sanctuary at the live nativity.

Colliejollychristmas · 08/12/2015 14:34

Thanks everyone! Chocolate I feel a bit brighter now after a little cry. Isolation is such a horrible feeling!

I just made two paper chains. DS is not bothered but I think they look quite cute.

I'd love to walk to the local shop which is down a really steep hill. But we would be battling strong winds and I doubt we could get home easily. Haha!

Ah sorry you are feeling down collie.
Luxy it's always bleeding something. I hate Christmas jumper day.

Whataboutreindeer · 08/12/2015 15:19

Luxy great news!!!

Collie glad you are feeling brighter, I have odd days where I feel isolated but mainly I'm quite ok on my own with the kids. My husband works from home so we are all here aside from the few hours of preschool DS does each day.

Colliejollychristmas · 08/12/2015 15:20

£30 in a week? Oh my God lux and none of its optional? Feck! Such gold news that your DD can stay in school though. Congrats on the grant.

I've almost earned £4 on Nectar Surveys and I got £1.50 back by using mycoupons so I'll be going to buy the Radio Times later Xmas Grin ho ho ho!

SpottyTeacakes · 08/12/2015 15:34

Collie I picked up the free stick man activity book earlier from the radio times. Too old for your ds but you might know someone who would like it? Dd loves it.

AdoraBell · 08/12/2015 15:48

Fab news on the grant Luxy and Hmm at the £30

Glad DS is back home lilac and you are feeling a bit brighter Collie
Sainsbury's delivery today £89 but that included champers for Christmas Day, a large piece of decor for DD1's room and 2 bottles of DH's favourite Chilean red, all on offer, plus half a lamb shoulder which is about to go in the oven. DD has had another day off, if she isn't right by tomorrow I'll see about getting to the GP. No idea what the surgery is like for appointments as haven't needed to see a Dr since the move.
No Willos here but I'll look in town for tinsel. I need to get a bottle of wine from Lidl to take to PIL over the holiday. For most people I would splash on a nice Wine but I know there'll be lectures about throwing "DH's money" down the drain Hmm so cheap it is, to go with the chocs I bought on offer.

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/12/2015 16:04

Adora. The creams la Roche posay effaclar duo. Excellent for preventing blemishes and due to the salicylic acid general brightening.

His parents think you splash the cash? have they ever met their son?.

luxy I am so pleased the grant got approved. School sound a nightmare.

babsmam · 08/12/2015 16:09

Good news on the grant lilac

lilacclery · 08/12/2015 16:28

Great news luxy well done on struggling through until now

Work paid me for last Friday without taking it out of my holidays when I was at the hospital with ds. They can be very fair like that. Yesterday then I can take unpaid or use holidays for. I might use a half day and leave my other 3 days for Christmas then

Lovetoknit · 08/12/2015 16:49

I am back again after several busy and couple rather spendy days, Flowers and Chocolate for anybody who is not feeling well or needs a hug; I am sorry but this thread moves so fast, I haven't caught up yet

luxy great news about the grant, both dds need Christmas jumpers and luckily I found some at the local market but last year for my little dd I just stitched Christmas tree on which I cut out from felt on top of a red jumper

Dd is 10 today so not only I made a birthday cake yesterday (tree stump with a little fondant fox - she loves fox and a hound) but also 26 cupcakes for her to take to school Smile

Dh made a doll bed for her Barbie dolls so I made the pillows, mattress and a little quilt and found out my sewing machine is not very happy sewing several layers - I wonder if I should ask for a new sewing machine since dh keeps asking what I would like for Christmas Grin

CremeEggThief · 08/12/2015 17:16

The cake and presents sound wonderful, Lovetoknit.

Great news about the grant, Lux. I can't imagine the sense of relief you must have now.

I have already wrapped Christmas jumpers for DS and I to wear on the day, but it looks as if we'll have to unwrap them, as he's been asked to wear one at school and I've been asked to wear one at my Pilates class (Confused) next week.

£2.56 on more mailing bags and some chocolate and £19.60 posting most of my eBay parcels, but I'm not counting that. I need to post 4 more tomorrow.

CremeEggThief · 08/12/2015 17:16

Glad you feel a bit brighter, Collie.Smile

Girlfriend36 · 08/12/2015 17:28

Hi all, Collie sorry to hear your feeling blue, feeling isolated is a horrible feeling. Are your children school aged yet? I made a few new mum friends once dd started school but am also lucky in that I have 2 good friends that I grew up with who still live locally. Am sorry am rubbish with remembering but are you sahm?

Agree with you all re schools constant demands for money! This week its been £3.50 for a school calendar, £2.50 for the school disco, £2 for Nativity show tickets and packets of biscuits for Christmas hampers! Once you include school dinners and the after school club it soon all adds up. Plus am still paying off for a school trip which is £20 a month.

Adora the cream is this one cream

Happy birthday mini lovetoknit, my dd will be 10 in February! Can't believe it really, doesn't seem like 5 mins since i was pushing her about in a buggy Grin
