How funny that so many of you are so tidy and I really am not. Smile I could do with about a million cupboards I think, because I did once have a really tidy place but it was just one huge room that I occupied by myself, with lots and lots of storage. :-)

Girlfriend36 · 15/11/2015 18:06

Thanks Fluffy its £12 on Amazon, is that about right? The reviews sound good!

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/11/2015 18:10

yes, boots do it on 3 for 2 sometimes.

Whatabout · 15/11/2015 18:45

£70 on sainsbury shipping and £5 on gymnastics and a coffee for DH. Still waiting for the nursery and Clarks to give me my money back so I've had to move some money from savings into my main account to stop us going overdrawn. It makes me very uncomfortable to have done so poorly with money this month. I have nearly all the Christmas shopping done and almost all the Christmas food shopping done. I just need a few last gifts and the meat and fresh vegetable for the big day. I'm considering buying a sack of potatoes / carrots / onions from the farm shop. Does anyone do this and is it worthwhile?

We are off to centre parcs tomorrow. I have already booked and paid for all our activities and plan on cooking all our meals. We have £25 of vouchers to spend. I'm hoping not to spend more than £100 but I'm actually hoping we spend nothing. Previously we wouldn't have thought about eating out multiple times whilst there and spending frequently at the supermarket.

Pointlessfan · 15/11/2015 19:02

Have a lovely time what.
Just whizzed the leftover casserole into a small portion of soup, DD can have it for lunch on Tuesday. That feels like a proper old-fashioned bit of frugalling!

Whatabout · 15/11/2015 19:13

That's brilliant Point! I must do that more.

Fluffycloudland77 · 15/11/2015 19:44

I hope you enjoy centre parks what.

I've bought sacks of spuds but not onions. I'm sure they'd keep.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/11/2015 19:46

My dad hangs his onions in the car port. They last ages.

ipsos · 15/11/2015 19:49

The rule with spuds seems to be that they keep as long as they are not washed. I've never actually done. My onions keep for ages in the shed.

Whatabout · 15/11/2015 21:07

Thanks gang, I'll price it up when we are back. Now I'm making dinner for three every night and lunch 5 days out of 7 I feel it will be worthwhile to have a stock of vegetables. I'm also going to try to see if using the market will work out in our favour. My toddler will certainly enjoy it so it will be entertainment too.

We are being very frugal with our petrol costs for this holiday, it's a 15 mile trip! We've been twice before and it suits our needs perfectly. I'm able to budget and pay for all of our activities in advance and my oldest is 2 and adores swimming and being outside so he has a lovely time. Some friends are joining us for a couple of days so that'll be lovely. I've booked myself into the spa and for a massage one evening, I've been singlehanded with a newborn and a toddler for three of the nine weeks since the baby was born so I'm looking forward to it. It'll be only the second time I've been alone in all that time!

Sorry I'm rambling away!

Girl - I have days like that, you think you haven't spent too much and then it really adds up to more than you expect. I haven't had lunch in norrisons in ages, it's always my favourite supermarket for that! We have a new one and they have toddler cars that are trolleys so we often go there for a mooch and to buy the odd loss leader.

Ememem84 · 15/11/2015 21:17

Nsd.

Studied practically all day. And am now in bed suffering from serious neck and shoulder pain. I think I must have been doing some serious hunching.

Dh has tried to rub the knots in my shoulders out but they're huge and hurt so it made me cry.

Currently in bed with hot water bottle and travel neck pillow. Looking a bit pathetic.

Tiger balm tomorrow for work and must find my neck warmer microwave thingy.

Payday on Friday so hopefully nsds until the.

What sounds lovely Envy would love to do Centre Parks some day, have a wonderful time. I like Morrisons for lunch as well although today was a bit if an impulse lunch as I was hungry!

Em sounds horrible, can you book yourself a massage at some point?

My Morrisons delivery is coming bright and early tomorrow!!

Ememem84 · 15/11/2015 22:03

Massage is booked girlfriend for the day after my exam. I can't really justify taking the time out until then...

Going to go to the gym tomorrow and run on the treadmill for a bit hen sit in sauna and steam for a while to see if it loosens up.

But have found hit neck collar thingy. So will be taking that to work with me tomorrow.

CremeEggThief · 15/11/2015 22:15

Good for you, Em.

Enjoy your break, What. DS and I had a lovely break at our nearest Centreparcs 4 years ago. He still talks about it quite a lot.

Pointlessfan · 15/11/2015 22:19

I suffer a lot with the same problem em, I sympathise. Physio helped quite a bit, the gp referred me.

Collieputthekettleon · 15/11/2015 22:42

Just popping by to say I made a few pounds on eBay. And earned 2000 nectar points for selling an item so I'm very pleased.

This week is going to be so stressful with various stuff going on :(

Whatabout · 15/11/2015 23:01

Collie - shoulder squeezes ahoy.

AuditAngel · 15/11/2015 23:03

I'm the messy one in our house, but supposedly cleaning the house is my job and the garden is his!

NSD today.

Em - tonnes of luck and I hope the pain eases.

AuditAngel · 15/11/2015 23:21

DH claims I once agreed to this unequal division of chores. Not flipping likely. And, then he thinks I'll help outside when there's a lot to do Confused

Yesterday I had done the dishwasher early, then emptied and re-stacked. Got home to find a board DH had used to eat his pizza from. This really winds me up for 2 reasons . He is too lazy to see if it can go in the dw, and it is covered in disgusting oil from the stinking anchovies that I always end up covered in. I made him go and put it in himself.

babsmam · 16/11/2015 06:48

Good luck with the exam em.
Have a good time what.
Audit maybe time for a new agreement?

Collie hope the stress is not as bad as you think. We are on your side.

Creme glad you managed to see a couple of friends.

I think I need an antibiotic for My head full of gunk. Took me an hour and 40 minutes to get through to the doctors last week and an hour wait once there. They are in temporary accommodation after a fire so I understand but it's bloody annoying.
Seeing an old work friend today and she lives near a Smyth toy shop so could go either way tbh

lilacclery · 16/11/2015 06:52

Place marking I'm currently in bed with my bowl of porridge trying to put off getting dressed & going to work in 30 mins when I'm rushing to get last minute things before going out the door I will regret this.

Whatabout · 16/11/2015 07:14

Audit - I told my husband off for leaving dirty dishes on the draining board and not scraping them. The dishwasher is below the drainer and was empty. I told him this was stupid. Why? Why do they not open the dishwasher to see and stack it? It takes two seconds and everything looks far better for it.
