So sorry to hear that Italian. What dreadfully sad news.
Let's all hope for a more joyous June as I think May has been pretty rough for a lot of us.

God what awful news Italian Sad Sad Sad

My godmother is going for another scan soon, she will then have a rough time frame. She has decided to go the natural route, meaning she probably won't have very long. I'm not surprised at all as it goes with her way of life, and I think she has come to terms already with what's going to happen.

Dying of lung cancer, having never smoked, how crappy is that?

SpottyTeacakes · 23/05/2015 15:41

£72.93 food shopping. In budget, but over what it would usually be, as its half term I've bought extra bits I wouldn't usually.

So very sorry to hear that Italian Thanks

sportinguista · 23/05/2015 16:36

Welcome to all new faces!

I keep not being able to post as much due to being really busy. Lack of temp contract has not been so bad as lots of freelance work has come in so should be able to cover, plus doing some exam invigilating which is dull but does at least pay.

Not too spendy, had to buy a birthday gift for Ds friend whose party he is attending Sunday. Luckily she is into Frozen big style so lots to choose from. Ds spent his Easter voucher so got some books and a ball that he wanted. Collecting the free Lego at the mo which gives a few more bits for Ds birthday despite having the embarrassment of buying the Mail.

Flowers to all those facing difficult times.

Will be trying out Lidl this month as they have a £5 voucher and some Douro which DH rather fancies. Anybody know what they are like for quorn stuff?

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 23/05/2015 16:59

So sorry Italian and all others including LaChatte's godmother.

£109 on two suitcases and £90 on hire car for our trip
to see family in Belfast.

Trying to cook and freeze all food in fridge tonight so that we don't waste it.

northender · 23/05/2015 17:29

So sorry for all of you dealing with sad news. Flowers

babsmam · 23/05/2015 17:30

Went to a new park near us. £4.80 on ice cream and £12.20 on takeout tea. Not going to get to aldi so will have to be a sainsbury delivery. More expensive but time poor atm.
Bless you Italian at least you were there which will mean something to the parents.

girliefriend · 23/05/2015 18:05

So sorry Italian* that is awful news Sad

Had to take my girl cat back to the vets today, they don't know whats wrong with her but something clearly is. She is not eating, drinking or moving much. I have to try and syringe some fluids into her tonight and take her back in the morning. I have a feeling they may admit her if she still looks this ill. Am wondering if she has been poisoned or something. Anyway that cost £51 today. Gutted for her, this poor cat seems to have no luck.

Also spent £1.98 on some posh cat food to try and tempt her to eat something.

Had fakeaway fish n chips tonight and stuffing ourselves with ice cream now! Its a saturday night treat Wink

Oh and my beloved camera has stopped working, not great timing with going to London on Tuesday! The shop said would be at least £100 to get it fixed so to really worth it.

Almost NSD here today, DH went out for a pint of milk and some chocolate digestives.
Sorry to hear you are having more cat problems girlie I hope she is ok.

AdoraBell · 23/05/2015 21:24

NSD for me today. DH spent and DDs wanted Starbucks but my purse was empty Wink so they had to share what DD2 could afford. Staff in there gave her a free alfajor, chocolate biscuit/cake type thing, so she's happy.

Unescorted · 23/05/2015 22:04

NSD here - there is an advantage to living in a village. No temptation & A faff to go anywhere.

Spent the day making cakes, bread & sauasages. Oh and eating my Bro's very fine food - it is a hard life but sumbody has to doit! Grin

lilacclery · 23/05/2015 22:11

So sorry to hear everyone's sad news.
Thinking of you all xx

SpottyTeacakes · 24/05/2015 08:19

Mumsnet won't let me start a new topic Angry it keeps saying I can't post right now or something.

Should be nsd.

blueteapot · 24/05/2015 08:41

Sorry to hear all the sad news :(

Haven't written in a while but have been following. We have spent the last few weeks decorating a few more rooms and the stairs / landing. Spend as we recarpeted the stairs and landing and one of the rooms. Still, just our room and the kitchen (gulp!) and we will have finished for now :) kitchen will be a while yet as we need to save up for it. Considering extending but that would be mega bucks!

Have decided to go back to work early, avoiding the unpaid months at the end of maternity. I had saved up to cover them, but to be honest with the way things are I'd rather we hung onto the savings - so I have set a new date with work. For the best but I feel bad for poor DD! DS had me off the full year, but he was the first and took some getting used to - I feel like we've hit the ground running with DD!

We are for a date night tonight, first in 4 months so I am rather excited lol :D
