Fluffycloudland77 · 18/05/2015 18:09

When's moving day then?.

girliefriend · 18/05/2015 18:11

Pointless eek if not been using contraception I would think it is a definite possibility - sorry!!

TeWiSavesTheDay · 18/05/2015 18:14

Definitely possible! DC3 conceived very soon after stopping bf here.

minor good news, found DD1s raincoat so that will save me a lot of money!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/05/2015 18:15

Oh yes I was assuming you were using contraception Grin

Creme it's all happened so fast!

Iamnotanugget · 18/05/2015 19:02

£2 at playgroup. Order some birthday gifts from Tesco but used double up clubcard vouchers and get free delivery with delivery pass so cost nothing and even got a few pence cashback.

Sorry pointless dc3 was conceived within a couple of weeks of me giving up bf.Grin

Pointlessfan · 18/05/2015 19:06

SpottyTeacakes · 18/05/2015 19:55

I made this last night honey sesame chicken. It was really nice.

LaChatte · 18/05/2015 20:30

I'm sudiously trying to not read the Ikea thread in chat right now. I did so well last time I went, only spending €24, but now there are a zillion things I want need.

Crikey Pointless Grin is anyone ever actually really ready for another baby?

I've just been looking online for future schools for DS who is currently in the French equivalent of year 6, and is really struggling (massively dyslexic, with all the crappy stuff that goes with it, attention spa- ooh, squirrel!).

He needs to get into a different structure asap, somewhere he can do lots of work placements and things to do with what he wants to do.

In France there is a thing called MFR where kids can go to school for 1 week, then do a work placement for 2, and repeat, you choose the MFR depending on the domains that are of interest to your child.

The earliest he could do that is in year 8 (so just over a year if you think about it), which means I need to start thinking about financing it (roughly €250/month, but that includes full board).

I've filled in a form asking for documentation, so we'll see what that tells us.

ItalianWiking84 · 18/05/2015 20:34

Mfr is really good Smile and works really well with non "book strong" children

LaChatte · 18/05/2015 20:48

He could go on to do a Bac Pro after, which I really can't see him doing at the rate things are going in his current school right now. I'm going to have to sit down and have a serious chat with him abaout it.

The one I'm looking at has its open day on the 30th of May, so we'll go to that and see what he thinks.

I'm a little dubious as some of the MFRs around here are really dodgy, but this one looks nice enough from the photos on the website.

Passthecake30 · 18/05/2015 20:48

Any news pointless? If you can wait the eBay cheapies weren't too bad for me.

Just popped to my shiny new asda for cheese and lettuce and came out with a basket of fruit n veg priced at 10p each! Not sure if it's needed....but couldn't resist!

I'm a fuss pot and the nutribullet combinations don't sound tempting. .

So tomorrow I can hand my notice in on the job I've worked a fortnight. Any tips on how to ease the shock. ...

SpottyTeacakes · 18/05/2015 20:54

Bargain pass! Argh I would be so nervous I hate stuff like that. Go in drunk so they sack you on the spot?! Wink I'm sure they'll understand even if it is inconvenient for them. Do you have to work a notice period?

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/05/2015 20:54

Don't complain, don't explain Pass. Good luck with it though.

Just focus on that short commute.

Passthecake30 · 18/05/2015 21:02

Pmsl go in drunk! I have been playing with my phone and been spotted. ...so that's a startWink

My boss appears to be the young stressful throw toys out of pram or have a sulk type. ...hey ho, who cares!

Passthecake30 · 18/05/2015 21:03

Oh and my contract says 8 wks but I don't think they can hold me to it in probation? ?

Laska42 · 18/05/2015 21:04

hey .. well ive just totted up the cost of my weekend away ( inc cat sitting fees) and im £56 OD !Sad and its 11 days until pay day .. (oh shit)..We went to brighton to see friends and I only spent £35 all weekend as well . (on flowers, naice cheese and choc .. DH bought the WineGrin).. but i have also ordered a dress for my holiday (£59) although thats on CC which i wont have to pay for until next month (and i dont have anything else on the card) ..

Ah well ill get an extra £200 because of election work this month and so that will help, .. but looks like we'll be eating beanz though for rest of the month ..
Actually thats not going to happen as have DM&D and DB over for the day next weekend ( so wil need to produce a Sunday lunch ) I think ill can do a chicken pie though as have enough in freezer for that.. ill (or DH! Wink ) will also have to get petrol..

re: the car scrape . Well after the horrible call last night from her husband ive heard nothing more .. the woman had a v.v car and so I think that even if she does claim it wont cost much (and maybe she wont even have comprehensive insurance on it). Certainly i think the excess wil be more than any repair for her . It really was a storm in a teacup ,but its just upsetting to have someone screaming in your face when you know you havent done anything wrong.. And if the boys in blue do come round (as he threatened to get them to), i dont think it will be a problem.. no one was hurt ,there is no damage at all to to my car and im absolutely certain that she was at fault ..

So on to more important things .. I know ive missed important stuff here ,and i need to read back .. so forgive me for whittering on just abp out my small concerns.

But quickly let me add my good wishes for NKs DSM.. a good friend of mine had a major stroke (on the operating table) and is now so recovered as to have become a leadiing light in community regeneration .. he has lost a bit of sight but its amazing to see how brilliantly recovered he is ..
So heres hoping that your DSM gets all the help she needs.. (im sure she will) and that your DD feels supported also .

(going back to read more ..)

Laska42 · 18/05/2015 21:13

NK I meant your DFather not Ddaughter (im not very good at these acronyms)...

(also meanthat its its my Dmum and Ddad and Dbro who are coming over also next weekend)

Spent £7.50 on a Clearblue test as the supermarket had sold out of own brand ones - maybe there's going to be a population explosion round here soon!
Anyway it was negative which I'm kind of relieved about but also slightly disappointed as I would like munchkin 2 to come along. I'm now convinced I've got the dates wrong though so I might do another one at the weekend.
Had to buy chocolate cookies to help settle the nerves and also got shower gel and deodorant while I was there as we are running out of both so spent £12.60 in total. I need to get back on track with the frugality!

Pointlessfan · 18/05/2015 21:28

That's a lovely dress btw, Laska.
