Thanks for the new thread, Lilac Smile.

£9.50 on travel, £6.50 lunch out, £40.30 on clothes (basics for me and DS from Primark) and 52p on a stamp. I need to get milk on the way home too.

babsmam · 25/03/2015 18:03

Found you. Will read later.

girliefriend · 25/03/2015 18:33

Hello all, thanks for the London thread Needa looks great!

Lsd today £3.50 on bread, milk and chocolate buttons!!

Had parents evening tonight, all good although spellings and maths need some work apparently.

Ended up working 6 hours extra today which will be nice little bonus at the end of April added together with the rest of the overtime I have done this month. Tomorrow will be Morrisons shop. Think will do the £60 shop to get £9 off as although don't really need to spend so much I can stock up on household stuff etc plus food to take on holiday for pack lunches.

Payday Friday whoop whoop Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/03/2015 19:16

Thanks lila

Lac ring london and country, they are brokers who have a very good rep on MSE. May as well fix now while rates are so low.

£7 fish and chips. I painted the fence today and now my arms broken. I'm not cut out for 5 hours painting.

Laska4 · 25/03/2015 19:51

Hi there ..
Well i hung it bout but sadly the petrol warning message came up inthe car this morning and as i dont live anywhare near a station i couldnt get away q without filling it up.. so £51.61.. (with 5l screenwash also)

Then £12.47 in the co op.. but I got a a brilliant amount of good stuff we love and all reduced ...Look...!

1 large cauliflower.
750g turkey breast steaks
a 500g piece of cooked wiltshire ham
2 little gem lettuce
1kg dry roast peanuts (2 lge pckts)
packet of 3 peppers ( 2 of them red ones )
a mozzarella ball
2 large pineapples
2 packets grapes 750g (I adore frozen grapes and pineapple and they hit the Wine spot so stop me opening a mid-week bottle or two! )

What do you reckon? pretty Damn good.. i think..(for not aldi or lidl)

DS and I went to see a room in a shared house for him this evening .. its tiny.. (really tiny) small single bed only .,but sadly it s all he can afford.. ( and yes ill have to cough up £350 rent in advance.. )

However although small it seems an ok place, all bills and wifi inc, and the landlord seems ok .. So at least ill know he'll have somewhere to live which wil be a relief .. ( he has been 'sofa surfing' siince splitting up with last girlfriend.. )

So once thats paid that, will leave me only £90 in my savings account (plus whatevers left of my honorarium) .. and I was doing so well.. Sad

LaChatte · 25/03/2015 20:05

Right, just done an online shop (€87) to pick up on Friday (money won't come out of our account until pickup, Friday is paaaaayday).
DH had to get a new gas bottle today (€31), and in the weekly meal plan I've put Mc Donald's (€20) one evening (neither DH or I get back until gone 7pm, personally I'd rather eat cardboard, but the DCs will be happy).
All this added up means I'm already over budget (€100/week) however, the gas bottle will last for several months, and there are other things such as a mega pack of dishwasher tablets (will also last months) and some smoked salmon which won't last months . I'll just have to reign in next week's shop.

Intended spend : €100

Actual spend : €138

With a bit of luck DH and I will get some extra hours paid this month. Teachers' salaries in France are a bit, umm, unpredictable. You never know what you're going to be paid (unless you do the bare minimum work wise). I've had some months where I've been paid €1600 and other months where I've had €3100 (turns out they'd forgotten to pay me lots of overtime). So long as they don't suddenly realise they overpaid me last month or something like that (yes, they do that too, and they take it out of your salary all in one go - happened to a friend recently, she was left with €300 for the month).

Pointlessfan · 25/03/2015 20:06

Aha! Here you all are! Thanks Lilac.
It wasn't an NSD after all, spent £1.50 on a cuppa and and 89p on a kitkat whilst on a school trip. 89p!!!! Bloody rip off, it was gone in 30 seconds!

babsmam · 25/03/2015 20:09

1.40 on eggs. I can cook all sorts but turns out I can't boil an egg without cracking it. Dd needs it for school decorating and used up the supply here.

Yes I think it is aldi voucher day in the mirror tomorrow sporting.

Pointlessfan · 25/03/2015 20:15

I'm quite bad at cooking eggs too, always some problem!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/03/2015 20:18

I don't like eggs so have no idea how to cook them!

girliefriend · 25/03/2015 20:50

Babs I can't boil or poach an egg either Blush

Can just about scramble one and fry one though!

NK5BM3 · 25/03/2015 21:18

NSD.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/03/2015 21:29

Nsd.

AdoraBell · 25/03/2015 22:13

Another £17 for rest of week food but I forgot butter, Doh!

Will catch up properly a bit later. Hope To keep up To date with the thread now.

AuditAngel · 25/03/2015 22:26

Today £5 for DD1's karate lesson. Also went to buy her a leotard for her birthday, couldn't get quite what she wanted, which was a leotard incorporating a skirt. Instead I got a plain leotard and a separate skirt which is gorgeous, short, black and sparkly.

In London tomorrow, unfortunately will need to go to office as DD1's bike wasn't delivered today Sad

I need to try to book our flights for our summer holiday tonight. Am also booking for a cousin. Credit card bill was £1,005 but that includes about £200 of work expenses that will come back into my account any day now. Will need to scrimp on food this month to try to minimise spending.

The only good thing is that I'll be so busy with the show rehearsals I won't have time to spend money!

AuditAngel · 26/03/2015 06:17

Oh, and Yodel have sent DD1's bike to Sheffield? I can't see it arriving for her birthday Sad I can't call the to shout discuss them resolving their idiot decision until 8 this morning!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/03/2015 06:20

Audit I would be really upset and get the company to do a next day courier of a replacement.

Should be nsd, my friend is coming to me for coffee which means I won't be tempted to pop to sainsburys for lunch like I would if I went to hers!

babsmam · 26/03/2015 06:53

We are on eggs 5&6 now. Will try the vinegar tip. Pleased it's not just me who has problems with the evil little gits.

55p today on the mirror paper. Hate buying that rag but the vouchers are too good to miss.

Iamnotanugget · 26/03/2015 08:04

Thanks for the London thread need there's some really good ideas on there.

I've used some nectar points with the double up offer to buy some toys. I didn't need to but they'll be good for emergency gifts.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/03/2015 08:42

Friend has cancelled so going to toddlers instead. I don't want to take any cash out so I'm paying the £2 in 5ps Blush I hope they don't mind
