Adorabell that's the way I've been thinking about it, my parents are really shocked by the cost! But if I want to change my life - effort & money must be put in!

AdoraBell · 31/03/2015 11:47

I'm very glad you are doing this for yourself Kate Thanks

Passthecake30 · 31/03/2015 13:22

Asda delivery £50, included £12 litre of baileys and it's not even Christmas!

Got to get passport pics for kids later, £10?

Big Next order came for dp and he's keeping 8 items out of a potential 22. He's not had new bits for years (maybe 8 yearsBlush?)

Pointlessfan · 31/03/2015 14:53

How on earth did I spend £9 at soft play??? Went on the wrong day for their cheap offer so it was £4.50 then I bought a sandwich and a coffee. I know that's still not loads but I normally only spend about £3. Grrr.
We've gone quite over budget with grocery shopping this month but I've only put petrol in the car once so it more or less evens out. Going to do a big Lidl shop at the weekend and do some batch cooking for the freezer before I go back to work.

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2015 17:12

£1 deodorant.
50p dry ginger for Dh.

Babs, that's not bad for an mot, a retest & a tyre.

needastrongone · 31/03/2015 17:25

Oh my goodness, it is SO cold with that wind!!! I feel sorry for anyone that is holidaying in Britain this week Sad

£45 on hair, cut and coloured, had a fringe cut in, so now look like Claudia Winkleman! Also booked tickets for May for DH to see Rich Hall, who is a comedian that he loves, £36. Bit of an Easter treat that one.

Spent about £5 last night on drinks at the theatre with DD. To Kill a Mockingbird, which was brilliant.

babsmam · 31/03/2015 17:26

£126 in sainsbury on clothes In the 25% off. If anyone is planning on going today the double up is still on points too on clothes.

I know fluffy I thought it would be more. It's a really decent garage that won't have your eyes out

needastrongone · 31/03/2015 17:26

pointlesss How did you spend so little at soft play? Grin

Pointlessfan · 31/03/2015 17:37

I sneaked in a sandwich and fruit for DD! Wink

needastrongone · 31/03/2015 18:55
Smile

Obsessed with my chickens! They are free ranging over the garden. The dogs have been trained not to touch eat them. I could quite happily watch them all day. They all have personalities. Who knew chickens would have personalities? I have one that loves human contact. One that is very shy. One that is bold as brass.

There will be more chickens.

It will help my finances. I will spend all my days watching chickens and not shopping on the internet Smile

Pointlessfan · 31/03/2015 19:51

Aw, the chickens sound lovely. Pleased you are enjoying them. Are they giving you many eggs?

northender · 31/03/2015 20:13

Last March post for me.
£1.50 on eggs. Cooked lunch for mum today as she's having dd for 3 days when I'm working next week. House is finally looking truly decluttered and I'm loving it Smile.
Sausages and veg in cheese sauce for tea. Trying to use up stuff before we go away tomorrow night.
Good news is dh has had the go ahead to claim some mileage expenses back to July so should be a nice bonus in a few days.

SpottyTeacakes · 31/03/2015 20:19

SpottyTeacakes · 31/03/2015 20:19

Laska42 · 31/03/2015 21:50

£6.99 on coathangers.. (for DS not me)
£2 in the piggy..
BT bill for last month is only £4.85 That cant be right Hmm ( maybe its because ive paid the years rental in advance, but im sure i must still have to pay for the broadband? )

£82 transferred into savings . (32 of that was budgeted for BT , so I may have to get that out again)

You trying To draw attention To something Laksa Confused Grin

I tried on that dress I liked as I was in town at a loose end, it doesn't suit me.

Spent £24 on groceries plus £10 on a take away pizza for DDs, enough for packed lunch Tomorrow too.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 01/04/2015 12:07

Finishing off March:

£24.26 food yesterday.

March summary:

Supermarket/Chemist: over spent by £26.70 - okay with that we had a lot of guests!

Eating/days out: UNDER by 37p!

Gifts/clothes/parties: over by £193.94 - DDs party and gifts. Need to spend less in this category over the next few months to make this up.

Hobbies/Activities: UNDER by £36

Cash: UNDER by £42.50 (this is mostly better accounting on my part - much less money I can't say where went!)

Interest/overdraft fees: need to check, should be UNDER.

Vet: over by £17.50 - that's okay as rolling category.

Petrol/transport: over by £30.08 (again due to extra people here)

House garden: over by £8.60 (think poss need to budget more here)

School related: over by £36.11- again might need to budget more.

Haircuts: about even.

My business UNDER by £25

OVERALL: went overbudget for making any reasonable savings this month.
However we didn't go fuckit and massively dip into overdrafts or spend more than we had coming in. So okay for a month we knew would be expensive. Hopefully we can do the same throughout the year.
