It's great when not snacking has a double effect isn't it?

I'm feeling happy I still made a sandwich in the 3 mins I had this morning instead of being weak and going in to buy lunch (hate sandwiches left overnight).

Just have to do the online shop now after work - it's slightly more expensive than aldi but more calmer plus you can sit there and actually work out meals rather than herd your cats small children around a store they don't want to be in.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 13/03/2015 14:49

I think I will go to tesco or waitrose this week because it's going to be a busy one and we're not going anywhere near Aldi. Plus I've completely run out of supermarket bags Shock and they are very useful! I don't want to buy bin liners!

I agree that it's not a superfun store to shop in either. DH goes on his own at the moment because the last time he took the DC our DS (who is partially deaf) kept running off and hiding. I am displeased with Aldi because we tried the fake pepperami this week. They taste absolutely nothing like pepperami and are horrid.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2015 15:00

You all need ikea bags, you chuck it all in at the till & go. Mine were a few quid on Amazon because I live too far away from a store to actually go in and buy them. You'd all hate my shop, I've been sainsburys, iceland, Lidl, aldi, Morrisons & the butcher. If I had kids they'd hate me.

65p on radox.

Tomorrow will be spendy, naice wine and takeaway as we are going round to family.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/03/2015 16:03

Eugh. Request for £15 for upkeep of school swimming pool. Plus £2.50 wanted for school disco next week.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/03/2015 16:18

Dinner tonight is fakeaway from the freezer with pitta salad and garlic bread and chips as all I've had today is 3 coffees and a water

girliefriend · 13/03/2015 16:36

Hi all, yes the insect lore is brilliant, dd loved it last year!! The actual set up kit is about £20 which includes 5 caterpillars which i think is reasonable. However to get more caterpillars is £12 plus p&p which I think is less reasonable but will probably still do it as dd got so much out of it last summer.

So spends today,

£1 to school for dress is red day for comic relief
50p at cake sale
£11 at chemist on solpadine and a headache stick thing, had a hideous headache this afternoon and paracetamol is doing nothing Sad if they had sold bog standard co-codomol would have got that as cheaper but they didn't and i was desperate!!

Having easy tea of sausage, chips and beans tonight, looking forward to watching comic relief later.

Will attach a pic of dd and her butterfly - completely out myself but I trust you guys Wink

ladyrainicorn I actually snacked more believe it or not I still had my 3 meals & 2 snacks every day just everything was healthy & thought through properly to be most filling!

fluffy I think what tewi meant is that she wants the thin carrier bags You

lilacclery · 13/03/2015 19:22

Sorry ds hit post there!
I think tewi means that she wants some carrier bags to line her bins. In Ireland we pay 23c each for those bags

lilacclery · 13/03/2015 19:32

girlie those pics are fab
adora are they just badly disorganized that they can't give ye a list of materials needed at start of the year?

I'm working extra hours tomo, probably won't be worth much to me as I do lots of overtime anyhow but has to be done

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2015 19:36
Blush
TeWiSavesTheDay · 13/03/2015 19:44

Grin it's okay - I like Ikea bags too.

babsmam · 13/03/2015 20:05

40 on diesel today, 4 on beavers subs

Unescorted · 13/03/2015 20:46

I got a pay rise..... Grin A proper over inflation grade rise raise. I am soooooooo chuffed. The family have already mentally spent it.

treaclesoda · 13/03/2015 20:50

Today was horribly spendy. About £11 on food, £13.00 on yet more violin strings (have bought more of the bloody things this week than in the past ten years) £1 to school for red nose day and £2.35 for a school lunch for dd. Tomorrow I plan to spend zero.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2015 20:53

Well done unescorted! Brilliant news.

Unescorted · 13/03/2015 21:27

Thanks Fluffy. It means we can finally start redecorating the house. I am so excited I can choose paint ....

Passthecake30 · 13/03/2015 21:54

Spendy day. ...
£35 on a massage for an hourSmile
Ordered new glasses £130
Ordered night gum guard £160
£17 in morrisons

AdoraBell · 14/03/2015 03:47

Still trying To sell the house Fluffy then we'll be on the next available flight.

Lillac it's par for the course. We just bought "all" the materials for the year but that doesn't include what the art teacher decides they'll need for the next day's class. Seems To be the same through out the school system.

Well done unescorted Grin

northender · 14/03/2015 04:57

Blimey adora you've been trying to sell for as long as I've "known" you. Is it looking any more likely now?

Thank you so much for all your kind words, it is really appreciated. Dd's school have tackled the bullying issue so we'll now have to wait and see if things change.

On a frugal note, have just received the £30 M&S food voucher for using the credit card. Planning to use it for Mothers Day treats I think so that I don't need to cook (should also be able to buy some nice extras too Smile)

SpottyTeacakes · 14/03/2015 05:52

Well done unescorted!

Northender hope things improve for your dd it's my worst nightmare, dd being bullied. With her mobility issues I think it's pretty likely Sad

Well today I'm going to London to stay the night with my friend. It's going to be spendy. I have £100 saved for it hope it'll be enough london drinks are £££££
