£5ish tesco top up yesterday

Spendy day today, travel and parking £14, lunch with other people also made redundant £38, gym trainers £25 (from £80!), bday presents £13.

Redundancy money arriving thurs but it's all accounted for.

girliefriend · 24/03/2015 20:51

Been quite productive this evening, made a batch of oat cakes and a chocolate cake!! Had a sudden burst of energy so made the most of it Grin cheered dd up as well. Chocolate cake looks slightly overdone though, hoping it won't affect the taste...

Working an extra 4 hours or so tomorrow which is extra money in the pot (can start saving for London now Wink)

Laska now I want to look on the Boden site

we do not need more clothes
we do not need more clothes
we do not need more clothes

£34 in Tesco at Lunchtime, but that included £15 on some new opaque tights and £14 on Easter eggs. Followed by £51 in Tescpo this evening. That included some salad, cupcakes for DD1's birthday, couple of pizzas for freezer, milk. Will go to Aldi for snacks etc.

Mum gave me £50 towards food. She is still with us full time. Sister is slowly sorting out her house for her, but in the meantime she is here.

Last night at dancing I was sewing lace onto a pair of ankle socks for a costume for DD1. The mum's were asking why I didn't just buy some. The fact is I was given the lace for free by the dressmaker, I bought DD1 2 packs of white ankle socks for Joseph last summer (10 pairs in total) since used for uniform. She doesn't need more socks. So instead, one pair of socks, some free lace, time sat waiting at dancing, £5 saved. Yippee

Laska4 · 24/03/2015 21:02

girlie dont go there ! Most of it is really expensive..and I only did because of the £10 voucher and look what happenned..

However if anyone ever really needs good quality plain leggings.. the johnnie b ones (for girls) size age 16+ are cheap and really good quality .. often on offer and fit up to sz 14 .. ) If you are a 10 then you can get the age 15.. however i only ever buy on a free delivery returns
if you really cant resist you need this code to get the extra 20% +free delivery : - RTLE

(I do actually need leggings all of mine have holes inthe thigh area where the ruddy cat insists on sitti g on me while im at my keyboard typing ..)

Iamnotanugget · 24/03/2015 21:02

Thought I'd better check in before we change threads. £3.92 in Sainsbury's On milk and few baking bits. My app says I need to stop spending so I'm going to try very hard for a nsd tomorrow.

Whoever mentioned London on a budget I'd like to see that thread please. I'm planning on taking dc later in the year.

girliefriend · 24/03/2015 21:05

Laska i had a quick peek but resisted, I have a code that gives 22% off if you buy 3 items which isn't enough to tempt me but can give to someone else if you want it?

Dd has a few sensory issues with clothes and the Boden velour and towelling trousers are a God send, however she really doesn't need any more at the moment!!

girliefriend · 24/03/2015 21:10

Dd managed to put a hold through the knee of her new school trousers today she has only had them about 3 weeks Shock

Pointlessfan · 24/03/2015 21:11

Another NSD and I think tomorrow should be too. School hols next week though so I have 2 weeks off, expect it will all go to pot then!

Laska4 · 24/03/2015 21:11

Im done, thanks Girlie Someone else may like it ..

but If anyone gets a Monsoon/ Accessorize code in the next few weeks im up for one though.. Smile Flowers

PegLegAntoine · 24/03/2015 21:56

Hi folks!

I am not getting on with my namechange! It makes me laugh (BBT quote) but it just doesn't feel like 'me'. I will once again lurk for the rest of the month (while still recording my spends of course) and return in April with yet another, hopefully decent new name. Blush

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/03/2015 22:02

NSD yesterday
£9.08 food
£17.50 haircuts.

TeWiSavesTheDay · 24/03/2015 22:04

Grin Peg!

now I've started getting the Biden catalogue it's quite good at putting me off since everything in it is still full price! looking forward to the big sale though.

Is it m&s uniform sale time yet?

needastrongone · 24/03/2015 22:17

girlie I will post the link tomorrow from the main computer.

Been perusing the MN food section for vegetarian recipes tonight as I have tons to use. Some great ideas. Did a lovely pasta dish with roasted squash, garlic and sweet potato, mixed with mascapone, touch of stock then some spinach leaves stirred in tonight. Adapted, but lovely.

Getting my chickens tomorrow Smile

Today I have spent £60 on 12 bottles of sauvingon from M&S. Free delivery and 25% of two cases so good value. Have really cut back on wine consumption anyway since Christmas but do enjoy a glass still. Probably have 2 bottles a week, rarely go out to drink. Bought some wine in January, but half of these bottles were taken as 'gifts' if going to other folks houses.

£20 on utensils for the horse box.

£13 Aldi but a big box of dishwasher tablets, those loo tablet things, kitchen towel, floor wipes, my cleaning stuff really and 3 cartons of milk. So, my shop will be about £60 at Morrisons, mainly covering sandwich type items (4 x packed lunches every day)

Pay day tomorrow so will post spends then but done ok ish this month.

babsmam · 25/03/2015 06:43

Hoping for another Nsd today.
I would like to see the London thread too thinking of flying down for the weekend to test dd on a plane before I book abroad. Noise aversion and at least I can get the train back.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 25/03/2015 06:51

laska I got that Boden voucher and ended up spending 60! A good bit of that may go back though, as I got a swimming costume which I suspect will be dreadful on me despite the fact that it's lovely in the catalogue.

Just sitting waiting for bus to take me to school trip to Greece, me, 2 colleagues and 30 kids Shock Grin should be lively anyway.

I have been bad with clothes recently, I think the Marie Kondo thing meant that I threw out loads and then genuinely needed to buy things, but thankfully I now only buy/keep stuff I really love.

AuditAngel · 25/03/2015 07:08

DD1's birthday on Friday has snuck up on me (not sure how as we have been having a countdown since the beginning of the month!) I have a couple of things for here, one of which she guessed and SATS she doesn't want, it is a leap pad watch the takesictures and things. A friend's son got one for Christmas. She will have her bike. I have bought her a swimming costume, requested blue, got navy with white starfishes one in Tesco. She has asked for a leotard, Amazon have not got the style she asked for in black in her size, so I'll go to the local dance shop today near work, see what they have.

I think that is enough. Mum has got her a Smiggle voucher, she will get stuff from aunties etc as well.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/03/2015 07:35

Should be Nsd today. I've got to have a blood test but won't go to the garage for chocolate. Promise. not

LaChatte · 25/03/2015 08:49

We only have six posts left to last us until then end of the month Shock We haven't done very well at managing things in March, and it looks like we will be going over budget, oh dear Grin

Had my blood test and didn't stop for chocolate ??

CremeEggThief · 25/03/2015 11:34

Have we got a new thread yet?

OP posts:
LaChatte · 25/03/2015 13:00

We still have three posts yet! I've just totted up outgoings for next month, not including petrol or food, literally just direct debits and things like that.

€2656.87

Ouch. We've been looking into things we can cut back on, and I've already stopped few things (reduced my mobile contract, stopped my Ipad 3G contract) but can't seem to get it much lower.

Passthecake30 · 25/03/2015 13:15

£4 breakfast being sociable. Dinner will be cobbled from the fridge, omelette etc for adults, hm pasta sauce from veg remnants for kids.

Oh also got some 4tog socks on half price (£3.49 I think)

Passthecake30 · 25/03/2015 13:17

Can I end the thread. ....??!Grin
