Oh and applied for 2 jobs today Smile. One that sounds nice, one that is less so...!

bantamgirl · 06/02/2015 21:47

I will only buy Aunt Bessie's oven chips. They are the mutts nutts.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/02/2015 22:24

Try selling it nk, if it still works. We got £82 for a 13yo aeg washer dryer. We were gobsmacked.

£20 cat food Hmm

Ewfl has really pissed me off. People are going hungry and their shopping for brands like it says something about you if your cupboards look like tescos warehouse.

I'm only halfway through so I will be outraged tomorrow too.

clippityclop · 06/02/2015 22:47

22.00 in m&s today on pizzas, sausages, fish, veg and a huge tub of black cherry yoghurt. Just need bread, milk dishwasher tablets and ham in the week to come. Meal plan done for the week too. Happy weekend all.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/02/2015 07:37

Going to Kent to see my sister today. Should be nsd but will probably stop off at service on the way home for a burrito Grin

fuzzpig · 07/02/2015 07:47

Have a nice day spotty. :)

Can I ask for some more ideas please... I've been wondering about ways I could earn from home. I'd like to do something computer based, even typing or data entry or that kind of thing. I have absolutely no relevant job history for this though, so I really don't know what I could do. I'm not fussed about how much it pays really if it just gets a little extra money in. If anyone has ideas I would be most grateful Thanks

NK5BM3 · 07/02/2015 08:06

Hi pass, yes he brings a bed thing and it's really good. I think I will be investing in this next few weeks at least and see how I feel. If dh can have his weekly trip to the pub I can have this...

Fluffy, can't sell it. It's too noisy!! I did sell my previous indesit though, for £50 as it was constantly breaking down and we had taken one of those warranty things which meant that it always broke down within that year. I didn't mind it so much breaking down but the fact that they took ages to repair - 6 weeks one time, with several visits. I'll never buy an indesit again, so when I sold the indesit on gum tree, I threw in an extra component because they were so incompetent they actually left a spare part...

You can look at peopleperhour.com?? They look highly professionals and looks like you can bid on projects!

babsmam · 07/02/2015 08:56

Thursday spent about £100 all in some budgeted some not. Human and dog food in budget. 20 on fabric for world book day costume not.

Friday £4 on beavers as DS hhas now officially joined. 1£ on chocolate.

Saturday £3 on football £1.50 on cakes for my friend daughter fundraising thing

Iamnotanugget · 07/02/2015 09:14

fuzz I always make loads of cheese sauce and freeze some. When I'm in a rush I defrost it in the microwave while cooking some macaroni. I put some frozen peas and sweetcorn on to cook. Mix pasta with sauce and a little wholegrain mustard, sprinkle some cheese on top and put under the grill for a couple of minutes. Macaroni cheese with 2 side veg from start to plate in under 15 minutes Smile

I'm going to treat dd to the cinema tomorrow but I've been sent a voucher and I still have some money on a gift card so I think it'll be around £8. Going to aim for a nsd today.

pointless I hope you have a lovely weekend. Even though I went back very part time after my first lot of mat leave I still found it difficult. Hope all goes well next week.

Unescorted · 07/02/2015 10:16

This has moved on massively since last weekend. Sorry to hear about so many school & health issues. Just what you need (not).

It has had to be such a low spend week in the Unescorted household. Dh & DS were competing in a cycle race in Scotland and spent some of the food budget. The boiler has gone on the blink - an intermittant fault so we might be able to limp through until pay day (on Friday) and then the car decided to die - only a flat battery / gloopy diesel which we managed to sort out, but it has meant bus fares while we waited for the weather to warm up. On the bright side the broken boiler means a lower gas bill....

Food 35 for 8 days - but even the store cupboards are looking bare. No other spend. Next week is going to be interesting unless the buyer for some expensive bike lights pays up. Ah well only another 5 months to go and 2 of those are no council tax months . I so cannot wait for the day when I don't have to keep a running total in my head as I go around the supermarket. And there is another silver lining - being skint has improved my mental maths.

NK5BM3 · 07/02/2015 11:57

Turns out my aldi shop was £36 which puts my full shop at £50 altogether this weekend. It included things like sanitary napkins and coke which I guess are non regular purchases.

Paid £16 for cinema tickets - we have a really good but vv reasonably priced cinema that's about 10 miles away. We will be watching big hero six this afternoon with the kids - a treat which I feel will be nice. May not eat out. we shall see what happens. There will be much food cooking this afternoon before we go!!

vinegarandbrownpaper · 07/02/2015 12:03

Woah! I got two surprise tenners this week.. and..gulp.. bought a cd for the car!! Wasteful! I made up for it by not buying anything else for a while. Then spent £5 on cheese and (artisan) bread EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A MONTHS BREAD IN THE FREEZER. I'm on the slippery slope, so am going to make sure I put the remaining £5 into the electricity meter. I also managed to negotiate some money back on my broadband bill.. so overall I'm up but unhappy about the moments of weakness. I am still £80 short for a mortgage payment due 5th March. Fingers crossed for more surprise money before then...

Pointlessfan · 07/02/2015 12:24

Thank, iamnota. I've spent yesterday and today so far cooking meals for the freezer and also made a frittata for lunch as DD is a bit off her food but she cannot resist it!

£6 on bio washing powder in lidl. I'm going to make it last until next feb.

Lots of free cashback on topcashback & quidco for the taking. Drive now, a bank account sync service, car & home insurance quotes and free trials for new customers are paying £20ish quid. The ins quotes you can do once on tcb & then again on quidco.

I've been thinking about clicksnap offers, nothing to stop you buying the product and returning it for a refund. You'd still get the money.

Ellisisland · 07/02/2015 13:29

NSD

Not leaving the house due to only getting 2 hours sleep last night with baby DS. Am not even out of my PJs yet Grin

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

AuditAngel · 07/02/2015 13:39

Sweet to Kingston today to buy a Primark top DD1 needs for a costume. Had already offered to get for one other mum. In the end I grabbed 5, other people will want them, £17.50 but expect £14 of that back.

Bought DS new black trousers to go with his dinner jacket (needed for show) £10, plus a pack of crop tops for DD1 £7

Then popped into Tiger, but was very controlled. Spent £12 on 2 umbrellas plus 2 sparkly globe toys, which are gifts for a friend's (twins) party DD2 has been invited to.

£9.98 buying DD2 2 pairs of leggings and 2 t-shirts for dancing from H&M.

Sainsbury's £70, but £38 was a bottle of cognac for DH for Valentine's Day.

AuditAngel · 07/02/2015 13:41

Forgot, £54 on diesel, can claim back, plus 90p for paper for my mum and £2 fir 2 large bars of fruit and nut.

bootygirl · 07/02/2015 14:53

So I decided that if I keep all spends on groceries to €100 this week can bring down average for two weeks to €150!!! Per week.. Still high I know but better than nothing!
Aldi €34
Credit for ds1 €10.

Spending money for school trip €50!

So tomorrow should be NSD.

574ejones · 07/02/2015 15:26

£40 lunch out in Prezzo for 4 of us (also used a £30 gift card). This is why we don't eat out as a family often - too expensive.

brittanyfairies · 07/02/2015 15:30

Well today has already turned out pretty expensive, paid 107 euros for DCs piano lessons then I had to buy tiles and paint for the garage renovation which was around 300 euros. Just got to pay the builder now and then that should be it for forking out with house renovations. I will be so glad, I've shelled out thousands over the last six months, all covered by the insurance company but I've spent so much paying for a high quality finish on the renovation work I've got no money left to replace the furniture I lost. So I'll have to sort that out a bit at a time as I can save up. I've got two years to reclaim the deferred payments from the insurance company, so I've got another 18 months left to replace everything.

I've not bought anything on Amazon (or even looked at Amazon) for a week which is my big weakness. Frugal February means no Amazon purchases.

We've continued putting money into the jar on a daily basis.

NSD tomorrow - very easy, live in France all shops closed.

MissMysticFalls · 07/02/2015 15:43

need celeriac is my favourite veg. It is absolutely lush roasted, just peel, chop into thumb size chunks and then roast in a bit of olive oil, no need to cook beforehand. We have it loads with roasted carrots, parsnips, potatoes (although I parboil those first). Bit of garlic, bit of rosemary and pepper. lovely.

LSD yesterday - eggs, etc. from the local weekly market, (local free range eggs £1 for six).
Not too bad today - DP picked up some top-up shopping.

Homemade pizza for tea again tonight.

Just got back from the allotment - first time since taking it on that we've been able to get stuck into digging and I'm shattered...

Passthecake30 · 07/02/2015 16:12

£62 asda for food to last the week, have meal planned again. Included naughty snacky bits too, mainly for ds who is going thru a growth spurt...."I'm starving when's the next meal? ! What can I eat right now? ". 6 going on 16......

£18.50 swimming lesson. Dp sold something on ebay for £200. Less £27 fees Angry
