Hi spotty not sure why they won't have high chairs. I think if they are catering for a wedding then they need to have all these contingencies. Will they say it's a child free wedding next? No baby changing area in the loo?

Particularly if you are paying so much and it's posh. I was recently staying at the Hyatt for work and frankly nothing was any trouble for them. Late check out fine. Wanting or needing to borrow adapters, etcetera fine.

I wouldn't expect that at the ibis for example but there's a reason why we
(The co) paid so much for the Hyatt v local hotel.

I think you need to be stern...!

SpottyTeacakes · 27/10/2014 17:58

NK I know the chef/owner so I'm hoping he might sort something out! They don't have to have them on show do they?!

NK5BM3 · 27/10/2014 18:00

Excellent! Grin You go girl. It's just not on.

fuzzpig · 27/10/2014 19:37

£6.75 school dinners
£37 board games for Xmas presents (could have spent soooo much more in there... And probably will before Xmas!
£70 dinner
£11 train
£10 bus
£5 worry dolls for DCs' stockings

fuzzpig · 27/10/2014 19:38

Be firm spotty! They'd better fix it frankly. \o/ (that's me cheering you)

girliefriend · 27/10/2014 22:47

NSD Smile

And had a nice day been out and about, lovely autumnal walk in the woods and had a friend over for dinner.

AuditAngel · 27/10/2014 23:08

A win and a lose today.

My lunch wasn't defrosted and said not to cook from frozen. So £99.10 in Tesco, but that was 3 ready meals (lunches, excluding Wednesday when I have a meeting) plus 2 loaves of bread for the freezer.

60p for a coffee at dancing, plus 30p for DD2 to get a little chocolate bar while waiting for DD1.

Didn't gave to pay for client costume for DS as his dancing teacher didn't like the only one in the catalogue. The problem with this is that now his teacher will need to source an alternative which will probably cost more.

Renewed the house insurance today £660, but will cost more because I need to split the premiums. Less than last year, despite making 2 claims (both very small)

AuditAngel · 27/10/2014 23:08

Ha ha, £9.10 in Tesco, not £99.10!

AdoraBell · 28/10/2014 01:01

I was thinking that was some expensive ready meals Audit Halloween Grin

Spent another £36 today, meat/poultry for the week, bread and veg, things for Halloween, DDs are having friends over, and sweets to hand out. Still need nuts, red apples for the MN trolls teeth and I couldn't find a spray bottleHalloween Hmm. Also spent £6 on fabric for DD2's costume, she's making it herself.

Hope they sort out high chairs for you Spotty

AuditAngel · 28/10/2014 05:06

Unfortunately we have relatives coming to stay, I need a cheap single duvet for one of the kids to use. Our children ave really expensive JL feather and down ones. This will be the cheapest Tesco have in stock.

I am also feeling a wave of despair about the money I will be spending over the next couple of months. I owe three birthday presents, so around £60 to £75 for them, plus another new baby present and birthdays starting this month too.

Christmas, I have some things, but still need yo buy for DH who wants an Xbox one, plus main presents for the kids. I think their stockings will have lots of chocolate in them this year!

I got my credit card bill from last month, which was more than I was expecting. For the first time in months, there isn't enough left in the bank to clear it. I am going to try to take lunches in to avoid going out spending at lunchtimes.

AuditAngel · 28/10/2014 05:20

Ok, so single duvet ordered from Tesco Direct £12

lilacclery · 28/10/2014 05:34

Have really enjoyed catching up here, can't sleep guess cos of time change.
I need to make lots of confessions, since thurs Ive done nothing but spend money.
Thurs night hair €55, Fri waxing €33, sat hair again €25 (dh treated me to this out of money saved for wedding) accommodation €150, wedding card €150, tank of diesel x 2 €65 one paid by me other dh, takeaway Fri night €24, takeaway Mon night €21, meal out with friends sun ,€35, small shop in dunnes yesterday €27 most of this Was for dss who we stayed with sun night & cupboards were very bare. Got 20% back on my clubcard though so that'll help towards Christmas. €12 on almost new wetbag for ds cloth nappies & €13 on a no longer made trousers for him ... Going to do grocery shopping online now cos I'm awake & then that's it with spending until payday on thurs.

€400 had been saved towards wedding so that helped. Oh ya €45 on alcohol at said wedding....Sad

BooDidIScareYou · 28/10/2014 09:10

Made sandwiches for lunch today using leftover chicken from the Sunday roast, and brought in crisps from home (Walkers 20 pack on offer for £2.45 in Tesco Express last night, so only just over 10p a pack!). Already have an apple and some cereal for breakfast, so that's today's food in work sorted.

Tonight am going to make a mahusive spag bol that will hopefully do for 2 nights dinner this week and some for the freezer.....so maybe £10 for ingredients, other than that only bus fares at £2.90.

Submitted the gas and electricity readings and both lower than the estimates so hoping for a little bit of money to be refunded. Also did you know you can link an online British Gas account to Nectar to get points on your energy bills? Only found this out this morning....

Feeling quite good about all of this, DP and I have already put some extra in our savings this month because we are being careful Smile

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 28/10/2014 09:47

Hopefully a NSD today. I've painted both dcs' bedrooms now, but I want to move on to either my room or the dining room now.

Ds2 has said he doesn't want a new bed yet. He's 5yo in a toddler bed, but still has room. He still occasionally falls out of it, and I think he's worried about that. He refuses any kind of barrier on the bed like a bedrail or anything, so maybe waiting a bit longer is the way to go, if that's what he wants. I'll revisit it after Christmas and if he's still not ready, then I'll wait until summer. Then he'll have to switch over as I suspect he'll be getting a bit crowded in the toddler bed. Grin But at least that frees up a good £150 of my budget that was going to go for his bed this week. I'll just put it aside for Christmas.

trainersandaches · 28/10/2014 10:00

Cracked and bought a floppy hat yesterdayBlush £25 from Warehouse...

needastrongone · 28/10/2014 10:10

I am checking back in Smile

Only been away a few days but I can't keep up!!

Been a bit spendy tbh but back on track now. Saved £750 from last months salary so really chuffed but it's gone into various 'pots' to pay for future outgoings, so I don't know if that's saving or not saving really, but at least it's budgeting I guess?

Bought a soup maker, which is an indulgence but I will report back, it was for the thread you see. that spending Smile

Dpony has cost a fortune last week, as usual Sad

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 28/10/2014 11:24

Had a relatively LSD few days as staying with family in Belfast. £14 on food yesterday and £16 on food while travelling.

Have a huge list of jobs for tomorrow morning - getting direct debits moved to all come out on same day, setting up a joint savings acc for us to save a proper emergency fund.

£13 in tesco on two dressing up outfits, petite pois, peas and garlic bread

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/10/2014 16:21

NSD

Badvoc123 · 28/10/2014 16:30

Good grief.
Spent £50 in sainsburys!
Needed new bath mat and flannels - but then also spent on pizzas that were half price (ds1 loves them) and some Star Wars mugs for stocking gifts.
Sigh.
October has been a disaster

girliefriend · 28/10/2014 16:34

Been out to a animal sanctury, £3 donation to get in, £4.20 on drinks for me and dd but otherwise no other costs as took our own lunch. Another nice day, feeling quite pleased that am keeping costs low (so far) over half term Smile

fuzzpig · 28/10/2014 16:45

Forgot yesterday £17 on milkshakes for 6 Shock DH's idea!

Today was £5.20 bus fares and whatever DH spent in sainsburys on pumpkins, drinks and chocolate! Spent the morning tidying and then went to town as DS had a hospital appt and we spent ages at the park. Lovely playing football with them (although I was more watching than playing today, am struggling healthwise) and watching them climb all over the playgroundz

fuzzpig · 28/10/2014 16:45

Please ignore the erroneous z above

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 28/10/2014 16:55

Badvoc Oh I hate going in for "just one thing" as I never ever come out with just one thing. Hmm

ItalianWiking84 · 28/10/2014 17:22
