Yes, NK we have ours tomorrow. It's good but pricey.

CremeEggThief · 27/06/2014 20:01

£6.16 in Lidl, for a few bits to keep us going over the weekend.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend :).

NK5BM3 · 27/06/2014 21:21

Back from the fair. £9 on food (burgers and hotdogs), £4 on slushy. £3 on tombolas (one grown up, 2 children) and got a bottle of wine, and 5 kiddy stuff! A pretty good haul I think for £3! £2 for candy floss, £2 for bouncy castle thing. I refused to pay out for other things which cost like £1.50/2 for 3 slides etc. ridiculous. Oh 60p for marshmallows.

NK5BM3 · 27/06/2014 21:21

Good luck for yours Cadbury!!

AdoraBell · 27/06/2014 23:24

jones no one here notices the lentils either, if I use red ones even I don't notice them. And I don't like lentils.

NSD here today but haven't managed to save anything this week. I'm trying to cut the grocery budget back but school keeps coming up with brilliant ideasHmm and it's just easier to use that cash.

Makingchanges · 28/06/2014 10:32

was trying for a nsd yesterday but needed petrol so £58.02 on diesel but that is all, despite popping into supermarket to use loo

SpottyTeacakes · 28/06/2014 10:40

£10 on dinner last night. Came out of dp's fun money Grin

FantaSea · 28/06/2014 12:04

£73 in Tesco yesterday and £20 on petrol but that should get me through until the middle of next week. I am hoping for a NSD today.

574ejones · 28/06/2014 13:06

£70 in Lidl for the week's food, and £6 in Waterstones for some holiday reading. But, did have a NSD yesterday. So glad that mine are at secondary school and don't have school fairs any more!

AuditAngel · 28/06/2014 13:40

Thursday evening I was asked for £20 for DD1's dancing costume, but as I was reaching for my purse DH whipped out his wallet and paid Grin.

£4 for lunch yesterday. £21 on three new t-shirts, was on my way to work and realised I had oil marks down my top. Quicker to grab a couple of new ones than to go home.

Went out for dinner last night! DH chose where we went, and bumped into a hen party where I knew 4 of the party. He kindly sent over a bottle of prosecco . DH needed some cash to pay, so he borrowed £100, but said he'd give it back today.

This morning, £135 on Sainsbury's shop (after £10 off and free delivery) plus will get some cash back. £27 for a haircut. £21 buying a new nightdress to wear in the flat on holiday plus a couple of combs and some hair bands for DD1 (DD2 keeps losing the ones she borrows) and a soft bra to wear in the evenings/weekends.

It is our school fair this afternoon. I think the kids have forgotten about it, but I had promised DS he could stay in and do whatever he wants to do today as he recovers from his show.

SpottyTeacakes · 28/06/2014 16:13

£68 Asda delivery just reminded me why I don't shop with them, short dates and over ripe fruit Angry should get £12 from tcb though.

£4 wrapping paper and tags

Springbright · 28/06/2014 16:55

Lovely birthday night out last night but close to £100 after food, drinks, babysitter, pizza for babysitter etc!

I did a top up shop this morning, about £18. Despite our big shop last week I still needed to get something for dinner tonight. And the fridge is pretty empty again. It seems we've eaten better rather than longer!

I only bought a few bits and am trying to last on petrol fumes as I want to try doing a big shop and full tank at the beginning of a month. Roll on Tuesday! Smile

CremeEggThief · 28/06/2014 18:25

£1.60 on 2 doughnuts from Greggs for me and DS. Very nice!

Springbright · 28/06/2014 19:23

audit what a lovely DH you have! Such a nice thing to do!

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2014 19:39

Nsd.

£55 asda delivery and £10.20 fish n chips. ..kids had a party 4-6.15....I was starving!

Iamnotanugget · 28/06/2014 22:40

£2.15 on popcorn and biscuits for 'home cinema' afternoon or dvd with the curtains closed £7.02 on massive block of reduced cheese. I think I'll grate and freeze most of it for macaroni cheese etc.

spotty I don't use asda delivery because I find it difficult to find things on the website compared to Tesco or Sainsbury's. I would complain about the short dated stuff. They may give you a refund, Tesco do.

AdoraBell · 29/06/2014 01:36

I second complaining about short dates.

£5-ish on wool for a school proyecto. Coincidently lovely colours that DD2 will knit something from with the vast amount she'll have left over.

Spring glad you had a lovely birthday dinner.

Audit very sweet of DH

Nugget home movie nights are fab

DH has just filled up with petróleo, 3% increase on last week's price.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/06/2014 06:48

Well I bought two loaves of bread, delivered yesterday and they go off tomorrow. Does that warrant complaining?

Opticians today wish me luck. Also going to start getting some of dd's uniform Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 29/06/2014 09:23

Bugger. Catalytic converter light is on in the car.

NK5BM3 · 29/06/2014 09:42

Spent a lot at village fair. Well... £10 on a necklace for a friends birthday (that's fine), plus £2.50 for card. £2 for tombola, got 2 bottles of beer. Kids got some pencils etc. did hook a duck, 50p. Ice cream sundae £2. Oh £1.50 on rosemary plants - needed those as mine died after 10 years.

£35 at friends birthday dinner. V yummy food. But still!

On a positive note, the first of 2 cc bills arrived and it went from £800+ last month to £300+!!! Grin All down to shopping at Aldi. There were several Sainsburys shops but nothing big. Several mcdonalds which frankly we could have not spent on but oh well.

Looking forward to these savings since next week it's home insurance renewal. Need to just do a renewal quote and tell them to bloody match it. It's ridiculous. Why don't they try to keep loyal customers?!!

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2014 10:00

Nk I usually get £70 cashback off topcashback for changing home insurance. I'm not bothered about staying with the same company though.

There's free birds eye burgers on topcashback, 100% cashback on them & a £1 off frenchs mustard but morrisons sell it for a £1 anyway so free.

You have to upload your till receipt, I think it's only valid until tomorrow.

OP posts:
Iamnotanugget · 29/06/2014 10:03

spotty I would complain about the bread as it's unlikely you would eat 2 loaves in 2 days I would then put them in the freezer and eat them anyway

nk if you're not already using cashback sites start now! I used comparison sites to get a quote of £122, down from £141 last year. I then went through Quidco and got £60 cashback so buildings & contents for £62 Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2014 10:04

Oh and happy eggs bought at asda for £1 get 40p cb on checkout smart or click snap & can be used 3 times.

According to hotukdeals.

Summer fayre yesterday cost me £1 entry, £1 tombola for 6 tumblers (which we desperately needed) and £2 for a delicious slice of cake which I had back at home. DS had his own money to buy things with and dp paid for ds' ice cream. I think I got away lightly.
