I didn't realise that Fanta. I thought they only exempt you for financial reasons if you receive income support, job seekers allowance or WTC?

Springbright · 26/06/2014 17:43

Went to tesco for milk...only bought milk £1! But am meeting friends for dinner later so might be spendy.

What is it with all these dentist expenses? DH went yesterday and needs two fillings and a gumguard, will be close to £200 Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 26/06/2014 17:45

Mine was just a check up. I don't even get a polish for that!!

Passthecake30 · 26/06/2014 18:01

£2.50 on loom bands (caved in) and 99p on a bottle of coke to get me through a shitty day

Maybe I should stop going out at lunchtime as I am frittering it away.

Pleased as I made £3 on checkout smart. ...then a colleague asked me to sponsor her son and I couldn't refuse. ..everyone else had sponsored a fiver too...gah!

RollingGreenMarble · 26/06/2014 18:44

NSD = no spend day?

I have to pay for my bus to work as usual but apart from that had a nsd :)

Pay day though need to pay the bills. Bitter sweet

RollingGreenMarble · 26/06/2014 18:47

Can someone explain checkout smart to me please?

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/06/2014 18:54

Its an app run by quidco as is clicksnap.

They list various offers, some good, some rubbish. But you upload a photo of your receipt and they pay you for the offers you qualify for.

So, they might offer 50p off a £5 shop plus £1 off a certain brand of crisps but if you buy the crisps in a supermarket that sells the crisps for a £1 then it's free crisps.

NSD for me too, and no-one noticed the lentils which I used to bulk out the lasagne for the first time!

NK5BM3 · 26/06/2014 18:58

NSD but tomorrow will be spendy. Have to pay for ds' summer camp whilst I work. Great. £130 for a week.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 26/06/2014 19:29

NSD woo!! Tomorrow won't be, I need a couple of bits for dinner but nothing too expensive. Got a gorgeous surprise today - a birthday parcel from a friend with 5 small, but very very thoughtful little pressies in it, all beautifully wrapped and a lovely card. I may have cried a bit

NK5BM3 · 26/06/2014 20:15

I lie. I did spend £4.25 on lunch. But drank tsp water for free.

AuditAngel · 26/06/2014 21:32

NSD apart from diesel, but work pay for that (£50.01!)

Was about to pay for DD1's dancing costume, £20, but DH whipped out his wallet so I indulged him Grin

AuditAngel · 26/06/2014 21:34

Nugget my expenses are never normally that high! but my new boss was booking courses for us and her card had a hissy fit. Most of that amount was courses, plus my car service. Normally it is about £200 a month.

FantaSea · 26/06/2014 21:40

Spotty I spoke to a lady at the prescription charge place and she said she would send DD a form called HC1 which she has to fill in. She said that if DD had no income and as long as her savings don't exceed £6,000 then she would be entitled to a certificate for free prescriptions. She advised me to get a FP57 receipt today and then send that in with DD's claim and they would stamp it and then I could claim that money back too. I also thought I would have to pay for her as she is 18 now so I am really pleased as with pumps every month it would add up.

CoolCadbury · 26/06/2014 21:50

YNAB sale now on steam. 75% off. Get it now for £7.49 here

SpottyTeacakes · 26/06/2014 21:55

Thanks fanta that's really good to know. I'm exempt anyway but for different reasons.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/06/2014 06:50

Pay day and I got my child tax credit so after transferring all the money for bills I have £93 left. My phone bill will be £40 (I know, I know) then I will get £130 child benefit so that leaves me with £180. I haven't got any birthdays this month but do have a leaving do at £15 per head plus have to donate for leaving gift (work colleague, what's sealed acceptable?). I'm going to try and have £150 to pay off my credit card but that'll only work if dp pays for dd's uniform. Oh and I've got the opticians Sunday and will probably need new glasses but I have £100 saved for that. Hmmm

Passthecake30 · 27/06/2014 09:56

Work colleague- here its a fiver for your direct (small) team, £2 for others.

Kids are costing me more and more money. ...now got to pay £12ish for an ocharina and book. ...and £5 for a nursery leaving party...

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 27/06/2014 12:48

Ohhh our nursery have a graduation next wk utter nonsense they are 4yr olds why not call it leaving party they do it now as some are term time most will be there til school starts at end Aug. Hoping they are not wanting money they get enough already although they seem to have missed doing me an invoice this mth prob still trying to work out 10% of Bill for discount as I get 10% off as nhs staff n they struggle bless them n have now starting putting it on a separate sheet for me to deduct myself!! One mth from 220 they made it 12!!!! They tried blaming the computer but couldn't do it themselves - that's for 2 days wk with 12hrs funding back to big bills for July as funding ends here on 10July n Aug Bill will be even more. Usually around 400 a mth for full amount then childminder is 280 a mth for 2 days hence why we do both!

deepbluetr · 27/06/2014 12:53

I think a nursey graduation is lovely.

Iamnotanugget · 27/06/2014 13:55

About £5 on loom bands and loom which should keep us going until fad has passed. 65p on value chips for children. They're only small themselves so don't mind all they're chips being tiny. We're having a curry from the freezer because it's Friday.

A little leaving party at nursery sounds cute but graduation? I didn't have one of those when I did my A-levels .

Passthecake30 · 27/06/2014 16:12

I didn't get a graduation after Uni.

Dd party is a bouncy castle hire sounds fun, can never have too much jumping!

Washed my own car, saved £5....

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 27/06/2014 16:23

Perhaps I need to be a little more sentimental but I think primary kids having proms when they leave is ott.

Amazon bargain skylander puzzle sets £2.62 great for present stash for parties they r an add on item but u can buy £10 worth of add on items u don't have to spend £10 then add them on.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2014 17:09

I never bothered going to my university graduation.

£43 aldi. That was with my £5 voucher. I'm low carbing and its pricey.

OP posts:
NK5BM3 · 27/06/2014 17:17
