Fluffy, you TopCashBack pro, you. A question if I may: how the hell do I view what cashback you are owed?

I bought house insurance through them in November but that is still not showing in 'my earning's. I also just did car insurance through them, but have no idea where I can see if that has actually gone through. Slightly perplexed, as all together, that should be £90 cashback!

It should be in "my account", it shows an overview of earnings and tabs for tracked, confirmed and paid amounts.

Big orange tab right hand top, next to log out button.

I don't remember Jenduck, not me, never seen the name, ever Wink

OH has done his company's end of year accounts to present to the tax office here. The final figure is most definitely red. Never mind, onwards and upwards. DD2 has an invite to a friend's house tomorrow, I may have to do something with her sisterShock.

Just mentioning in passing that after managing to deal womanfully with the technology, I have been able to make my Austerity Housekeeping ebook free on Amazon for one day if you want to download it . You don't necessarily need a Kindle as it's also iPhone/iPad and PC compatible.

One or two reviews would be great WinkGrin

OK, I spoke too soon. It will apparently happen some time soon, as it works on the Pacific Time zone plus a few random hours on the whim of Amazon. Check at lunchtime if you are actually interested in doing this. Wink

Wow, I am famous [waves to adoring fans Grin]

economy if you are owed cashback on Topcashback which is just not happening, you can send a nudge to chase it. Log in, go to customer care, then cashback claims. As an aside, I always used to claim cash, but now do Amazon vouchers as you get more eg £52 vouchers for £50 earned. And Amazon sell everything (including Boffinmum's book Wink)

Heading into town today so must resist temptation to spend. Need to return shoes to Debenhams that DH bought me for Xmas & which I don't really like don't fit, so will hopefully get store credit to buy me some new jumpers. Also need to pick up new duvet from there (bought in sale with gift card Smile). Will probably have drink & cake there as have full card for free hot drink & will share cake with boys. Then must pay cheque into bank, pick up small thing for DH at Wilko's, then maybe look at Card Factory's 7 cards for £1.

Also, the middle glass in our oven door has come loose, so need to get heat-resistant silicone glue for that. Have seen some at B&Q for £14, so not tooooo bad (compared to cost of new oven I was imagining!)

Hope everybody has a frugal day!

I should practise what I preach though, in terms of Austerity. I have just spent £80 on Amazon for DH's birthday present (noise cancelling headphones) plus a storage bag for DS3's train set.

I'm coming to join you as I want to make some indent into our credit card but also save up towards a holiday for my birthday next Christmas.

I'm about to do my phone contract- I was going to go on to pay as you go sim as I don't use my phone all that much, but it says if I keep my phone on my current amount tariff (about £10.50) I can get £100 'credit' on the account, so I think if I've done my sums right it'll work out to approx £6.33 a month over 2 years.

However I'm a bit out of touch with PAYG, so I don't know if I'd do better just putting a tenner on every do often, as I only send about 10 texts a months and the occasional phone call. It's tricky knowing how long £10 credit would last to weigh it up.

I'm also going to work really hard at keeping to food budget, even if a couple of days a week we have carrot soup and dumplings and skim the remaining money into either credit card or savings (the CC is 0% for a long time and I have another bit of money going towards it too).

Almost a no spend day yesterday but then I bought a new recipe book on kindle, I shouldn't have really but I want to make every single recipe so I am pleased with it.

11 people seem to have downloaded it since it went free! Grin

ooh, this is actually quite exciting!! I haven't had this much fun online since I discovered extreme couponing!! (interestingly my Mac tried to spell check that to 'extreme coupling' which is not something I have tried but is probably equally exciting).

Happy Days :) Just had the post and British Gas have finally sent through the voucher for our new fridge freezer and the £70 cheque that they promised for all the good that spoiled due to their incompetence. Will be banking that later :)

Oh Boffin I would love to do some extreme couponing but don't know the best way to start. Seems that the UK are not really into it.

Thanks for the tips re.Sky, will get DH to phone them later (his account).
No museums or fun stuff like that around here (West Kent is a cultural blackspot, unless you count putt-putt golf at Bluewater), will try out the library next week.

Cecy, texts on PAYG are normally around 10-12p, but looking at the Tesco sims, you might be better off with one of them?
I think you earn clubcard points with it too.

Boffin, will download your book later....you mentioned it might be free today Grin
Hope you went through nectar for your £80 spend on Amazon!

2Old, hurrah for British Gas (said no-one else, ever) coming through.
Having worked in a retail job before, knowing what a pain in the arse vouchers/coupons are...I can never bring myself to use more than 2/3 at a time!

Does anyone know, roughly, when the next Boots 3 for 2 on baby stuff event should be? I need to get some stuff for DS but it can wait until then.

Boffin - have just downloaded it too. Thanks for letting us know. Will defo review (glowingly). Love the correction by tech of "extreme coupling" - sounds exciting but perhaps a back support might be necessary WinkGrin.

Adora, sorry the accounts are in the red. My DH had just been landed with a top-up tax bill of £1000+. It was his error (innocently made) but still needs to be paid. Yey, great start!!

Still NSD here. Will spend less than £5.00 later when I go to WI meeting (held in pub so will have diet coke).
