A little ray of sunshine in your life Grin. Basics sparkling water 16p for 2 litres! Less than a second class stamp. Basics lemons and you have cloudy lemonade.

Tesco spaghetti

Eat it with butter and salt & pepper
Or oil and garlic and chilli flakes.

No nutritional value, but totally yum.

  • Stuff being given away on Freecycle
  • I (personally) think newspapers are great value

second own brand painkillers - miles cheaper and just as effective
Sainsbos own brand ketchup is pennies and DCs didn't notice any difference
Aldi washing up liquid and washing powder tabs are fine
Asda own brand plain biscuits(digestives, rich tea, jaffa cakes etc) are all ok

39p porridge oats from Lidl - made porridge, bircher muesli and flapjacks - lovely!

Also boots Coconut and Almond shampoo and conditioner - 92p each - smells nice and does the job.

We usually shop at Morrison's as dp gets staff dissy. But think it may be worth detouring for some things?

My latest bargain was butternut squash for 59p at Aldi


it is not something I usually buy, so I've no idea if that is cheap, but one squash made delicious risotto and lots of soup, so provided two days worth of food.
